The episode description box that I'm typing in now says "what else do you want your listeners to know".  I want you to know that this podcast has some heavy over sharing at the beginning but you can skip forward to some knitting stuff.  I must also warn you that the word "gusset" is used.  There is some movie trivia but quite honestly not enough to carry the other 21 minutes and 20 seconds of the episode.

The pattern I'm using is called Larkspur by This Handmade Life and you can find that here:

Larkspur socks

I also reference the Woodland Walk socks by This Handmade Life.......

Woodland Walk Socks

....and this EXCELLENT toe up sock pattern by Jo Torr

Vanilla Sock

The lovely stitch I am enjoying is called a lifted knot stitch.

Welcome to THE most mediocre 20 minutes of your life ever.  The good news is that after this, everything else you ever do will seem exciting.

I'm going to ramble (a lot) about my struggles with sock knitting (that's a real struggle) and tell you about some nice yarns I like and then I'll tell you about a new technique I've learnt and we'll round it off by hearing about a quiche and a sasquatch podcast.

Amazing stuff.  No, really.
