She shares some of the incredible VALUE that her experiences have had in continuing to create a positive Impact through the work of SB New York State.
Danny & Julia talk in depth about some of the many layers of Systemic Issues, and Systemic Bias, that still exist in the world, and how SB New York State is continuing to work to Re-Write the Narrative & change the perception of how Society sees people who live with Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus and/or a Disability.

In this conversation, Duncan talks about being diagnosed with Hydrocephalus at 48 years old, some of the many obstacles he's faced, surgeries that he's had, and needing to retire.
He discusses growing up in the 'Print' Industry, and Danny & Duncan reflect a little bit about what some of those older technologies, and their evolution, such as 'Print' technologies, and music/entertainment technologies that have changed the Industry in so many different ways.
Duncan talks about getting enjoyment out of Gaming, specifically playing Call Of Duty, and he shares one of his hopes of wanting to see World Peace.

Mia speaks to some of her background, education, and studies in doing her PHD in Bio Medical Engineering at The University Of Toronto, Research, and the Not-For-Profit that she Co-Founded called STEM Pass Canada, which provides financial resources to low income students who are trying to get into Medical School and/or Graduate School in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
She also makes mention of her 20 year old cat named Angel.

She talks about some of her skills in Baking, and Cooking, and she shares why those skills are important to her, as well as important in general. Benrose talks about these skills being a way to reveal her Creative side to the world.
Benrose talks about some of the space that her mom empowered her to take after High School, to further develop her passions, explore, as well as try new things, and talks about how that space allowed her develop more confidence, open up more, and has shaped who she is today, and where her life is headed.
She becomes vulnerable in talking about her mom, and why her mom has been such a force of positivity her life, and has taught her how to be resilient.
Lastly, Benrose talks about some of her biggest goals, and dreams, which ultimately come back to making her mom proud, as well as creating a Positive Impact in the Communities that she Identifies with.

Madelen talks about Abuse & Sexual Assault specifically through the lense of disability, and talks about how she spent time travelling the country talking about the issue, and sharing some of her experiences with Politicians, and at the European Parliament.
Her main goal, to help people know that they are not alone in their story.
She shares some of the challenges in identifying with a 'Minority Group', and explains the term 'Energy Intensive', and how that influences/amplifies some of the challenges she faces.
Madelen talks about pushing to create change, and continuing to balance her health, and looking after herself, with raising her voice, fighting for rights, and continuing to raise the issues that affect so many humans that identify as a Minority, and how much extra energy it takes to navigate a world that is not accessible/as equitable as it could be.
Madelen talks about the role that art plays in her re-energizing.

In this Episode, we talk about Mpange about his musical abilities as a Singer/Songwriter, as well as his profession as a Medical Assistant.
Mpange talks about the special message in each of the songs that he writes, as they come from the heart, they're a piece and part, and an extension, to who he is a human being.
Mpange shares about WHY music is so important in his life, and talks a little bit about how music is so much a part of who he is, that he breaks out singing at any time, anywhere, and talks about his dream of someday recording one of his songs or a CD.
He talks about going into Medicine, and being in the medical field, and shares about his realization as a young person that he wanted to help people through medicine.
Mpange shares some of his challenges in getting through Medical School, and needing to create studying mechanisms, and strategies, that would allow him to remember things, as well as put in a lot of extra time in order to learn everything that he needed to learn.
One of his strategies, having a photographic memory, was visualization, and creating specific mental pictures to help him remember.
He also tried lots of different things like figuring out if he should study before he went to sleep, or when he wakes up, or if he should study alone, or with a group of people.
He expresses how challenging it was, but what a HUGE accomplishment it has been.
Mpange talks about how hard work is one of the biggest reasons that he's been able to graduate, and be successful in becoming a Medical Assistant.

He shares about his own personal experience towards struggling to find a job, and how those personal experiences are a huge part of the fabric to the work he is doing today to advocate for Employment Rights for our SB&H Community in Ireland.
Discussing Disability Rights, and Global Issues, we get into the topic of Climate Change, and talk about how it's a Disability Issue, as well as how so many of the Global Issues are so interconnected.
Marcus talks about his Education, and why his University degree was such big accomplishment, getting a degree online, and becoming Bilingual in both Spanish & French, as well as his dream of living in another country, and some of the different projects that he's been involved in through IF International, and his work as the Chairperson of the IF International Youth Group.

What an incredibly inspiring human Trevor is, and it was so great to be able to spend time chatting with him, learning some of his story, and hearing so many of of the amazing things that he's doing, and has done.
Trevor is also an athlete who, starting into athletics as a swimmer, has continued to evolve as an athlete through different injuries and challenges that he has been faced with.
He shares some of his story behind how athletics saved his life, the importance of representation, and why living with Spina Bifida makes him a better Athlete. He talks about his goal to, by Christmas, get the World Record for the Seated Dead Lift for a man with Spina Bifida, as well as to be at the Paris, Paralymics 2024 for Adaptive Power Lifting.
Trevor, thank you for being so honest, transparent, vulnerable, an SUCH a powerhouse of a human being, on and off the stage.

Em was 12 years old when she sat down to write her first song, Self-Titled, 'House Of Cards'. The song was about her personal story as a young person who lives with Spina Bifida.
Since then, she's continued to Sing, Write Songs, and become more confident in using her voice to tell her story, and use music as a way of helping others.
She shares a beautiful song called 'Don't Give Up On Me', that she wrote with her friend, and collaborator, Shaelee Sheppard.
Em Jordan, you're a LITERAL Rockstar, on and off the stage. Keep using that voice to connect, and amplify our Community!
