In a culture where "If it is not posted, it did not happen," there is a thin line where privacy begins and ends. Is your privacy really private or public? In today's episode, James and Jessica discuss why privacy should be a boundary set and established in every household. Take some time to do some inward reflecting and ask yourself, "Whose opinion matters most to you?" and "Whose approval are you living for?"
James and Jessica discuss a pivotal question in many marriages today: Whether it be companionship, a platonic relationship, or marriage, can two walk together even if they disagree? You've heard the saying lets agree to disagree, but is this the best way to truly move forward, or can you move forward in success?
In this episode, James and I explore the law of power. Do we really have the power to do all things and if so what are those things? On the other hand, if you believe you are powerful, but not to do all things, what exactly are you powerless against?
James and Jessica discuss boundary conflicts that many people deal with daily. They ask, "Are you a compliant person or an avoidant person? Are you always saying yes to the bad, or may someone who says no to the good?" While taking an insightful look into their lives, James discovers more about himself that he is ready to face head-on.
James and Jessica cover seven questions that may arise from persons setting boundaries. Finding the balance to be giving and being reserved can be a challenge. Drawing a line to show someone where you start and end can sometimes leave feelings of uneasiness lingering within. On the other hand, anger and resentment may stir up in the next person when you adopt the word, "No".
James and Jessica converse about the process of releasing the things in the basement that begin overflowing onto the surface. Through referencing two clips, one from Billions and the other from Rocky, Jessica proposes the question when the pressure starts to come down on you, and from different angles, which are you: someone who holds on or someone who lets go?
James and Jessica take account of a time when two life-changing events collide paths. There was an anticipation of beginning a new chapter in life, but a change in script lurked in the shadows that no one was expecting. Listen to how they dealt with the internal conflict of pressing forward in hard times.
James and Jessica recount the history behind "Led From The Heart." A vision that initially started with an entirely different goal gradually morphed into the very one they live and breathe.
James and Jessica decided to kick off early by starting the season with a teaser episode of "Get to know us." Listen in as we turn small talk into real talk with a few Q&A. This episode is full of laughter, to say the least.
