We all have a story, and it's human nature to share. But what about when it comes to God? In today's world, people often put their faith in a box and only open it when in private. But what happens when we open it and share it with the world? Let's find out.
I had dreams and goals, and everything was moving toward those dreams and goals. I was very, very active. I played every sport and was a singer-songwriter and cheerleader; I had many friends, and it seemed like everyone wanted to be my friend.
I was so excited to be able to one day move to Nashville and make it big as a country music singer. But all of those dreams died that night of the car accident. I suffered a traumatic brain injury that affected me, just like a stroke.
Beth McCoy is an occupational therapist and holistic health advisor. Through her trials from a life-threatening car accident, she uses her experience to inspire others.
In this episode of Pathed, she shares that what got her through was a voice in her heart that she knew was from God above, saying, I have a plan for you. Keep going.

And I started seeing a great need for women and a lack of Swahili Bible materials and studies for women. And that really disturbed me and what was available, which was so minimal and still is today, was like Western culture translated for women. And it just wasn't, it didn't speak to their culture to the women I was working with. Beth Calmes and her husband have been missionaries in Africa for over 25 years. They raised their three children there. She and her husband were the roots of a couple of churches in Tanzania and the founder of Sifa Collective. Because of governmental rule, they had to leave and return to America. But through prayer and fasting, God had them return to Africa, this time to Kenya. Beth is now creating and distributing the first bible study series in the Swahili language for women. My family ancestors were part of a Ukrainian church called the underground church. It wasn't the church's name, but it is how it survived underground. They hid from the police or KGB in the forest or in people's houses, fearing getting ticketed, arrested, beaten, or killed. Ilya Barkanov, popularly known as Eli the Bee Guy, is a bee rescuer in Southern California. Every day he removes and relocates bees to local beekeepers. He makes it a goal to educate people on the importance of honeybees. They are responsible for almost 85% of our crops, and taking bees out of the equation takes us out too. Eli the Bee Guy moved to the United States at age 4 as a religious refugee. From finding his passion in bee rescuing to meeting the love of his life and marrying her. His Ukrainian ancestors shaped his life today. During this episode of Pathed, he takes off his bee suit and shares how his parent's upbringing in a country that did not practice religious freedom has influenced his life here in America. I remember parking at a beach, walking out, and getting lost in the scenery and my thoughts. It was a beautiful setting, but there was torment inside me. What's gonna happen? If I go back, will I be looked at as a failure? How am I gonna go back? Drummer Isaias Gil has been making his rhythmic impact felt. Isaias won 1st place in 2010 at the prestigious Guitar Center Drum Off and has been spotlighted in Modern Drummer Magazine. Isaias’ list of studio and stage collaborations include recording for multi-Grammy winner Macy Gray under the production of Keith Harris (The Black Eyed Peas), performing live with David Lee Roth, Christian group Salvador, Jaci Velasquez, Country band Charlie and The Regrets... and the list continues on.
Isaias shares his path in how his birth-given name has guided him on his journey with God. From growing up in Mexico with his single mother. To moving to LA to pursue his dreams of drumming. God never left him, and through his name and his mother's reminders, he found the courage to follow his path home and found peace.

I will serve you for the rest of my life. He got me off.” stated Don Graves. CPL Don Graves is a 97-year-old Marine veteran. He has ministered as a pastor to 5 different churches for 32 years. Mr. Graves is a dynamic and thoughtful speaker who speaks from his personal experience on The Battle of Iwo Jima across the country. In this episode, Don Graves recounts personal historical stories from The Battle of Iwo Jima, including the raising of the flag on Mount Suribachi to the death of Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone. "Excuse me. I heard you and your husband talking about the Bible. Over there on the ground, somebody wrote – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear. What's the rest of the verse?" And I replied, "but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." I was taken aback – this was the EXACT verse our pastor had just preached to us. The old lady thanked me and walked away. I was like, what just happened? Like, I think that might have been an angel. Kim Hayes is a well-sought wedding photographer in Fort Worth, TX. With over 7 years of photography, she has shot 100s of weddings. But her love for photography didn't start in the states. It started in Kenya. Her photography business used to be their primary source of income and funded their trips to Kenya. But it slowly began to flip. Kim is now the sponsorship director at Real 4 Christ Ministries, finding sponsors for children. Today, He keeps reminding her of His steadfast love and that He is always loving her. Telling her no matter where she goes, He is with her. It's never going to end, no matter what she does. She has a daily thing in her mind: He's with me, He's with me.
“And if it’s now, I know I’m going to heaven. And honestly, at that point, that was the only security I had knowing if it was my time to go, I knew I was going to heaven.” Michelle Berndt is a 4th generation breast cancer survivor, Mrs. Texas International (won in a wig), VP of Producer Recruitment for OneShare Health, and Board Member of the North Texas American Cancer Society. And yes, as she admits, “I can’t sit still and just do nothing.” Her faith helped her through one of the most challenging times of her life. With God by her side, providing strength when she needed it most, she faced her breast cancer diagnosis head-on and found a new purpose for her life. Ten years ago, Jessica designed a shirt for her sister's friend battling breast cancer. The shirt was designed around her favorite Bible verse, Isaiah 41:10. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Jessica Gruber is an international website solution specialist, owner, and founder of Buzzworks, a digital agency for nonprofits. She is a mother of three and now the host and found of the Pathed podcast. Jessica never thought that a shirt design from 10 years ago would creep back into her life as a podcast. One day, while sweating it in the gym, a man traveling from across the world approached me and talked me into something that would soon shine a light on my life in all rounds Josh Hick is a disabled veteran, a speaker, and a health coach.
