Given the terror and rabid anti-semitism as of late, this is always crossing my mind.

In the past week, I have been on the receiving end of 5 anti-semitic incidences. Sadly, only one has been out of the mouth of non jews. That means 4/5 have been attacks from my own people. They have been in many forms. Some have said that I am not even jewish due to my not following the dietary laws or marrying out of the faith.

Others have said the same since i dont don a yarmelka and that I should not wear my star of david around my neck or on my ring finger.
The most recent was this morning at a local supermarket. Last night I was very excited to have bought my first pair of Doc Martens. Being all leather, i have to break them in.

So I am standing in line to pay and I heard a young child saying (trying to be quiet) to his mom; “look at his boots, I’m scared, those are Nazi boots”. I simply turned around and asked his mom, what he meant by that. She said “all black boots are stormtrooper boots and I have told my child to avoid such scum”.
Its extremely rare that I ever pull Jewish rank, but I looked at her and asked if she was a Cohen. She said no. I inturn said you are beneath me as I am a Levite whose bloodline goes back to moses.

I also told here I volunteer for jewish organizations teaching basic self defense and am a member of the Shomrim Society of America (Jewish police officers association).
I am sorry, but sometimes I believe that the biggest anti semites are our own people.
These are horrible times and we should come together, no matter how pious we are or what sect we are in.

Everybody take care, be well and be safe.

So this is going to be a rather short entry, as I have neither of these. However, that doesn’t mean it missed my bucket list. I am at some point going to have to flip a coin between the two tattoos below. The first being the Man at the Wheel known world wide as “Gloucester”. […]

So we all have traits, quirks and beliefs that make us proud as well as those that make us and others cringe. And, just because they are good traits for YOU does not mean they are right for the world. First, I am loyal, and to a fault unfortunately. I, despite what goes on in […]

So I was born in 1966. In 1969 I was almost 3. My earliest memory was one day. On July 20th of that year, I was in my playpen and heard immortal words coming from our RCA Console TV; “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. We were all gathered around […]
