You may have heard the word pharisee thrown around a lot within christian circles, but what does it actually mean to be a pharisee? What does it look like in today's world to be a pharisee? Let's find out.
The word of the Lord is how we come to know God. It is the only way we can have true knowledge of God, know His law and worship Him accordingly.
Last week we covered what it means to be dead in sins and the implications of that fact on our standing before a Holy God. Now this week we see the implications of our salvation and how that is to look. What a saved life actually looks like and the evidence of salvation in one's life.
One of the most fundamental and basic teachings of the christian faith is that of our sinfulness as people. Without a correct understanding of this, Christ ceases to be God saving his chosen people and more of a feel good, "Jesus loves you and approves of everything you do" type of approach to the faith. We cannot have this.
