This is not about us; this is about inviting all that have an ear to hear the unadulterated truth and living word of God. His word is the foundation that we’ll stand upon and will always be our guide. Through teaching, preaching and expounding upon His word, we will discuss everyday problems and situations. I hope that you all are as curious as we are to see what He does next.

Sometimes it amazes me how quickly death shows up. There have been times when we were just in a person's presence and shortly after leaving that person we find out that he or she has died. You say to yourself, I was just with them or I just saw them and now they're gone. Well, the reality is, it happens like that more times than we are aware of. And we never know if someone is going to one day say that about us. That they were just with us and hours later they find out that we've died and gone on. The question is, gone on where? Because of how fleeting life is, are you prepared for life after death. The truth is we don't know how much time we have. So make sure that during your time here, you get it right with God. Because you can truly be Here Today, and Gone Tomorrow.

Life is all about choices, and we make them everyday multiple times a day. Choices like what we will eat, what we will wear, where we will live, what type of job we will work, etc. But out of all the choices that we make, the most important choice that any of us can and will make is whether or not to put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ and follow his commands. One of those commands tells us to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow him daily. Being that we are free moral agents, we have the ability to chose whether we will do it his way or our own way. Whenever we go against what he has said or told us to do, trouble always follows. Oftentimes because we've chosen to do things our way we end up crying to him to get us out of the situations that we've caused. This isn't something that we do sporadically, it's something that we often repeat. When will we learn that we Can't Keep Doing It Our Way? Join us for this candid discussion.

The Bible says that we walk by faith and not by sight. It also says that the just shall live by faith. It goes on to say that you only need faith the size of a mustard seed. It also says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. So with just these few excerpts of scriptures here, (and there are plenty more instances where the Bible speaks of faith) we see the importance of faith. And faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his redemptive work is the key to eternal life. However, while we go through this life, there are going to be instances where our faith is tested. I heard a preacher say that faith that can't be tested is faith that can't be trusted. So please be aware that there will be times when test will arise and you must decide as to whether you are going to have faith in Jesus to bring you through. We at For Such A Time As This often say that if one can get past the first four words in the Bible without any questions, that one should not have a problem with faith. There is grief for parents and grandparents, there is grief for spouses, there is grief for siblings, children, etc.. How one handles grief is personal. On this episode of For Such A Time As This, we conclude our series on Who Is This God? In this episode, we talk about the third person of the Trinity, The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and our Keeper. He is the one that leads us and guides us into all truth. The Bible says that if we walk after the spirit, we will not fulfill the desires of our flesh. If we as children of God would allow the Spirit of God to lead us, then our life's would be blessed beyond measure. Our problem is that we don't always follow the Spirit's leading; thus causing us unnecessary problems that we could alleviate. The Christian walk is a daily battle. It is a battle between who we once were and who we are now in Christ. There are now two natures residing where one used to be and that one nature has been accustomed to doing what it likes, when it likes, and for how long it liked. Once one accepts Christs, the Nature of Christ takes up residency and now it opposes the old nature. So now there is a constant battle going on. A struggle that is never ending. A struggle that tests the very fabric of your walk with Christ. It's a struggle between doing what is right and wrong and there are times when we win and times when we lose. Times when we can withstand the temptation, test, or trial, and times when we give in. However, the struggle is not a bad thing. If you are struggling, then it means that you are trying to do what is right. But on the other hand, if there isn't a struggle with you doing wrong, then one really should examine their claim of salvation. If you are constantly loosing the battle, then you need to check and see what nature you are feeding the most. We are now at the portion of the scripture where God says "and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways." We talk about how people spend time seeking everything but the face of God: fame, fortune, prestige, power, position, etc. We also discuss how some of the things that people seek are not bad within themselves, but we put those things before God thus not spending time seeking God's face/presence. We then turn our focus to the portion of the scripture that says "and turn from your wicked ways." Now be mindful that the scripture is not talking to the unbeliever, but it is directly speaking to God's people. We are back at the Kitchen Table for another episode of "Hell, Please Don't Go There." We continue our conversation on the topic of Hell, but we focused on the rich man's desire to have his family warned not to come where he was. If there is anyone that we ought not want to go to hell, it definitely ought to be our family and loved ones. Truth be told, we ought not want anyone to go there. But we definitely need to sound the alarm to our family members. On this particular episode we encountered more problems than any other episode. We had audio problems, problems logging on to social media, and I even endured a bout with an attack of fire ants as I headed to record this episode. A lot people don't believe in Hell. They often say that I don't believe that such a Good God would send anyone to Hell. Well, that statement is true: God does not send anyone to Hell, but he will allow you go to there if you reject the Gift of His Son Jesus The Christ. Whether a person believes in Hell or not does not negate it's existence. Hell is REAL!!!. And people are dying and going there every day. If a person ends up in Hell it is simply because they chose to go there. If you haven't asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to be your Savior and Lord, I would do it today. Tomorrow is not promised. The Bible declares that we all have an appointment with death, the thing is, we just don't know when our appointment time is. One day you are going to leave this world and you will have an eternal home. Where will it be? It's Heaven or It's Hell; You're Going To Miss One of Them, But You Won't Miss Them Both!!! One of the greatest decisions that anyone can ever make is to follow Jesus Christ. Now once that decision is made, one has to understand that one of the biggest deterrents to following Christ is Self. In order for one to faithfully and successfully follow Jesus, self has to be denied and neutralized. Now this will not be easy because self is so used to doing what it wants, when it wants, how and where it wants. But Matthew 16:24 tells us that in order to follow Jesus, self has to be denied. In this episode of For Such A Time As This, we discuss Proverbs 22:6 which says Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. However, a lot parents chose not to raise their children based upon God's word. So, now some of our children are void of manners, respect, proper behavior, and talk to adults any way they chose. It is so hard to reach our some of our youth today because they now have their own set of rules that they live by. Until parents get back to parenting based upon God's word, we will continue to see our youth delve into deeper depths of wrong and debauchery. Matthew 6: 14 & 15 tells us directly and explicitly that if forgive others of their wrongs against us that God will forgive us, but the scriptures also say that if we don't forgive others of their wrongs against us, then God will not forgive us. Therefore, forgiveness is a must and not an option. In this episode we discuss how forgiveness is beneficial to both parties but especially to the one doing the forgiving. For the Child of God, forgiving each other Shouldn't be a problem. however, at times it is.
