A U.S. Senate committee has approved more than $1.5 million for expansion of the northwest's newest national park. The Senate will need to come to terms with the House of Representatives, which included no money for the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park in the next federal budget. Meanwhile, you'll have to take a parking shuttle but won't need an advance reservation to visit the place this summer.
