Liz Maccie ’93 wrote the screenplay, based on a true story, and her husband, Steven Chbosky, directed the film. Brian Yuran — a rising force in film and television is a writer-director and proud alum of both Newark Academy and the prestigious Newhouse School at Syracuse University, where he received the Irene M. Sholkin Award in Screenwriting, Brian’s work has already made waves on the festival circuit. Adrien is the Associate Dean for International and Comparative Law Programs and the Bessie Dutton Murray Professor at the University of Iowa College of Law, where she has taught since 1987. Additionally, she serves as the Director of the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights, as well as Director of the France Summer Abroad Program.
