This week is a short episode on what cyclical abuse and generational trauma are, ways we can overcome these challenges, and what the bible says on the subject.
In this episode we discuss the importance of apologizing to our children, why we should apologize, and we walk through some scenarios on when to apologize. We round out the end of the episode with our weekly bible lesson on what the bible says about apologizing.
This week I want to dive into suicidal ideation in youth and children. I want to discuss some of the statistics surrounding suicidal ideation, signs, and symptoms of suicidal ideation in children, and how we as parents should react. We are also going to talk briefly about our Peer prevention training and why we believe it is the next evolution in combating suicidal ideation in youth and children.
In this episode we discuss statistics of depression in children, common types of depression in children, some of the common signs and symptoms of depression, and how to react to depression in your child.
We then round out the episode with our Biblical reflection for the week.
As always, thank you for tuning in.
Many blessings,
Schism Ministry
In this episode, we walk through best practices as a parent when raising a child with anxiety. We also discuss how to teach our children about anxiety. For a more in-depth perspective on this subject, I encourage you to reach out to us on our website www.schismministry.com. We offer facilitator courses both in person and virtually for parents to learn how to teach their children and youth about each of the different mental illnesses. There is only so much on this subject we can cover in a once-a-week podcast. We hope to hear from you soon!
In this episode, we will talk about Temperament, Neuro divergence vs A-typical, and why understanding these aspects of each child individually is so important for them to learn to love their neighbor and to love themselves.
