Dating can be dangerous when we haven't taken the time with God in our single season to prepare us. Problems arise and we find ourselves unequipped to handle arguments and situations in the way God instructs us to. Due to lack of discipline in different aspects we are quick to point the blame at our partner for the pain they have caused. The best solution can be found by getting into your Word and doing some self reflection. Taking a step away from the issue can show you that you are a part of the problem and can only blame yourself for the damage that has been done. Taking time to apologize, admit your wrongs and forgive can solve many problems. Daily accountability in actions and controlling our responses to stressful situations can make all the difference. Join host Tamarind Nicole as she gets personal with her own personal struggles in relationships and how she only has herself to blame.
Welcome to the first episode of Tam's World Relationship Series!
Dating and relationships are hard. They can be made even harder when either one or both parties have not taken time in their single season to develop individually. Our character is who we TRULY are, not the person we portray ourself to be. Dating can be convenient because naturally as humans we desire to have a partner. Before deciding to date and take a friendship to the next level, it is important to look deep into ourselves and ask some hard questions in order to determine if we are setting ourselves up for success. Always looking to God for wisdom it is important to first focus on your relationship with Christ so that He can create you into the person your partner deserves. Join host Tamarind Nicole as she evaluates herself and ways to develop into an almost perfect partner, focusing on character over convenience.
How fruitful are your friends?
Evaluating your friendships is crucial when focusing on your relationship with God. Our community and friends are what can easily influence the places we go, decisions we make, and activities we indulge ourselves in. A fruitful friend should be kind, patient, forgiving, and be able to have self control. At times it can be hard to let go of long time friendships because of all the memories but if that friend is not pointing you into a positive direction; are they really your friend? Join host Tamarind Nicole as she relates her experiences in current and past friendships and how to best associate with people you find yourself involved with. God should always be in the center in order to have a fruitful, meaningful friendship.
