Christians are called to be "deacons," serving from a gospel-shaped heart which says, "My Life for Yours."
Shepherds serve the church by leading in the mission of God for the Glory of God by tending to the people of God through the Word of God and prayer.
Our Shepherd has entrusted His blood bought people to under-shepherds; they are relationally personal men of character that are worthy to emulate.
Small prayer focuses on situations, BIG prayer prays for God's power to reveal and grasp His love for us through Jesus Christ.

Since Christ has intentionally and purposefully laid down His life for us. We must lay down our lives for our brothers, in action and truth.
Since loving our brothers shows that we are born of God, we must love our brothers and so prove that we have passed from death to life.
Since God has broken the power of sin over our lives, we must seek to rid ourselves of the presence of sin by walking in obedience through the Spirit.
Since everyone who is born of God will be Holy, examine your life for holiness, so that you may experience the assurance that you are a child of God.
Since we still live under sin’s corruption, of both our world and hearts, we wait for the full expression of our Adoption into God’s Family.
Until this adoption is fully revealed, we must purify ourselves by focusing our hope on Him.

God's Victorious Sufferer. Since Christ has been forsaken, crucified, and raised; we MUST Rejoice!
Don't take the bait of loving the world or the things in the world. Rather, hold loosely the things of this world because they are passing away and walk in obedience.
By loving the brothers, we walk in the law of love and show ourselves to be a life of love.
You must test your life so that you can be assured that you know Him. We can know that we have come to know God if we keep His commandments.
God is perfectly pure, and we are utterly flawed. But Christ is our Advocate in the court of Heaven. He defends our cause on the basis of His blood.
