Justin was in the Marine Corps from Sept 03- Jan 08 with the 3rd Battalion 1st MarinesInfantry. Justin’s 1st tour- Fallujah Nov 04 Operation Phantom Fury (2nd battle of fallujah.) His 2nd tour- Haditha 05, Battle of Haditha. 3rd tour- 13th MEU back to Iraq.

Justin is the founder of Operation 22 Til Freedom. A Veteran Suicide Prevention nonprofit – that fundraises throughout the year to help veterans in need. Their goal is to raise money to help lower the veteran suicide rate to zero.

Joe was an Army medic for 6 years. He has worked as a paramedic on an ambulance crew, and Is currently a flight medic. We had many questions about tactical medicine vs. civilian medicine. After spending a few years in the Marines, Adam turned to the civilian contractor sector initially signing on with Blackwater. Adam has spent multiple years in both Iraq and as of recent Afghanistan. Adam was one of the last few still in Afghanistan as the U.S. closed its doors. Check it out!

Ahmad Naweed Azizi was born in Kabul Afghanistan in 1985. He is a husband and father to one daughter. He spent the civil war in Pakistan and came back in 2004. He started working for Blackwater as an interpreter for the U.S. with the Indians. Then he worked for the Brit’s and then went back to work with the United States again with IDS/Triple Canopy as an interpreter on a High threat low profile diplomatic security mobile team. 

He was finally able to leave Afghanistan last year when the Taliban took over and currently resides in Aurora, IL.

Dave retired from the military after 21 years. He was a sniper during the 1993 battle of Mogadishu then onto Iraq and many other deployments overseas. He currently is a contractor working in Africa and shares his stories from his time overseas. This was a great episode and guest. Check it out!

Max Kutch is a marine corps veteran who did multiple tours overseas as a sniper. Max has a powerful story involving bouncing back from a motorcycle accident that left him unable to walk. Max after a month in the hospital regained his ability to walk. He left his military service shortly after and his journey began towards becoming a doctor, which he is currently pursuing at Dartmouth university

In 2021 Max was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer Ocular MALT lymphoma, papillary thyroid carcinoma, and cryoglobulinemia that left him once again unable to walk and he nearly lost both of his legs. He was once again able to bounce back one step at a time Max tells it better in the episode. Check it out!
