The most important relationship you will have is the one you have with yourself (and not the one with your beau). Relationships are only as healthy as the people in them, so you must be healthy within yourself for your other relationships to flourish. Before you can relate with someone else, you need to first and foremost relate to God, and then secondly, you need a relationship with yourself. You will only relate to someone else to the extent that you relate to yourself.

Divorcees, where you at? This one's for you! Divorce can leave you feeling as if you’ve let yourself and God down. But the end of your marriage does not mean it is the end of your life, nor will you be forsaken by our Father, The Most High. In today’s episode of Relationship Revelation, we discuss how religious society makes you believe that divorce is irredeemable, how there is only one sin that is not covered by the blood of Jesus, how scripture affirms certain instances when divorce is necessary, and why we need to listen to God when he warns us of bad relationships. Ultimately, both you and your partner should be right with and blessed by God before marriage, but divorce should not be feared if it means saving your life.

Our topic today is trust trauma, something all of us have some experience with, especially in relationships. Trust in relationships is earned and not just freely given at the beginning, so a good rule is to test before you trust. We can oftentimes be shielded from all that God has and is because of our own trauma with trust, but if we keep in mind that God cannot lie, we can be set at ease because, by His living and active word. Despite the fact that this belief has become prevalent in our society, dating should not be a trial and error exercise. Dating is supposed to be a time when you form a deep connection with your partner on a spiritual level, which ultimately leads to a marriage. This is what God wants for you, and you shouldn’t settle for anything less. In today’s episode I am going to be talking about what it means to date deliberately rather than by default, and why, as a Christian, this is the only type of dating you should be doing.

There are many reasons that people fear being alone, but the biggest is that they are often not comfortable with themselves. This episode dives into the relationship between being alone versus the feeling of loneliness, and how we would often rather be in a relationship that isn't right for us than be alone with ourselves. Dr. Gwen shares some of the root causes of this loneliness and how it's often related to a lack of purpose in our lives, and we dive into the solitude of Adam and how God created Eve and man because love is meant to be given and received from that place of wholeness. We explore some signs of loneliness as compared with someone who is grounded in themselves and their solitude before Dr. Gwen shares some incredible advice on how to fill the void of loneliness with God's love instead of a romantic relationship that may be wrong for you. Finally, we are reminded that the Lord didn't create us just to be married or dating, He created us to immerse ourselves in our purpose and His love! Tune in to find out how He will bring the right people to you when you can be whole from the inside first and how to begin your journey of alone wholeness now. Thank you for joining!

Join me in this episode as I share some personal and professional experiences that inspired me to become a relationship coach and launch a podcast on relationships. I also define Relationality, breaking it down into three dimensions; Relation, Reality, and Relativity. We all have personality, but relationality is lacking for many. God created us for relation, therefore we need relationality in order to achieve a happy and healthy romantic relationship.
