This week we discovered how geovisualisations like choropleth maps are made, and you folks also submitted your first assignment for the course!
This week involved kicking off Module 2 by deep-diving into JavaScript; adjusting the course according to the Module 1 exit survey; and preparing for the midterm. These are all about laying down firm foundations for weeks ahead.
This week, we finished off Module 1 with some technical concepts, but more importantly, a look at the big picture: communication, diversity, and what it means to program "for" data analytics.
This week, we deep-dived into the Python language. Much of what we learnt could be summarised with that old saying/meme: Adapt, Improvise, Overcome.
