Episode 12
Life is a Journey.
Every journey has three stages, namely Departure, Duration, and Destination.
To embark on a journey, you have to begin from somewhere to get to someplace.
Before anyone sets off on a journey, they have a destination in mind.
No one purchases an airplane, bus, or train ticket without knowing their destination.
“Life will not give you what you want,
Life will give you what you place a demand on”.
Many people have placed their lives in default or on autopilot and just wishing one day, things will turn out to the better.
Everyone has a departure point and that is your mother’s womb.
The very first day we were pushed out into this amazing and wonderful world, our journey began.
It is very pathetic to decide to embark on a journey and not know your destination or not have a destination in mind.
It will make your journey very long, boring, stressful, confusing, and frustrating.
Duration is the time between your point of departure and your point of destination.
Have you realized that on every journey regardless, you can not always predict the time of your duration?
A lot of things can happen in between your departure point and destination point.
I remember I was returning from Fayetteville North Carolina to Virginia the other day by road.
A journey that was supposed to last four hours took me almost seven hours.

Episode 11 - Your Back to Audience
Growing up, I was part of a Drama Group.
I remember I was taught that when performing, You do not turn your back to the audience.
This is because, the audience is one of the two essential features of a live theatrical performance, along with the performer.
Actors will talk about "feeding off of" an audience's energy, as they laugh more, cry more, jump in their seats, or respond vocally in a large, involved audience.
Conversely, if the rest of the audience loves something that you dislike, it may intensify your own negative reaction to hear positive responses all around you.
Many people have been living their lives looking to their audience for Acceptance, Acknowledgment, Applause, and Approval.
Remember People can
Refuse you where you were once accepted
Reject you where you were Acknowledged
Boo you where you received Applause
Disapprove you where you had their Approval
In a live Orchestra Performance, the Conductor has his back to the audience.
That in a way defiles the rules of live performance.
But in order for the conductor to put up a great performance, he/she will have to turn their back to the audience to focus on the Orchestra as they face the audience to perform.
At a stage in your life, you have to turn your back to your audience.
We live in a noisy, fast-paced environment with a lot of distractions.
Distractions from family and friends, social media, your job, business, career, and many more.

Episode 10 - Your Thought Parten
Thought Pattern
A thought Pattern is defined as a habit of thinking in a particular way, using particular assumptions.
A thought Pattern is a way a person thinks about things.
It is said, The average person has 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day, which equates to 35 to 48 thoughts per minute.
Tens of thousands of negative thoughts cycle through your mind day after day, poisoning your attitude and your outlook, one by one.
80 percent of tens of thousands of little thoughts add up to a lot of negative stinking thinking and self-talk.
The reason why most people are ineffective in life, have actually failed in life, and don't enjoy life is that they have never learned to fight the battle of the mind or thoughts.
The Power of your Thoughts or your Mind has a tremendous ability to shape your life for good or for bad.
If you accept the fact as a grown-up and somebody said to you don't matter, you are good for nothing, you're worthless, you're ugly, you're a garbage can.
If you accept that fact whether they are right or wrong, it has the ability to shape your life.
It doesn't have to be true, if you believed it, it's going to shape your life.
A lot of you heard things that were said about you as kids that were not true.
Years later, most probably in your adult life, you are still acting on false information.
Be transformed by the way you think because your Thought Pattern controls your life.
God is far more interested in changing your mind than in changing your circumstances.
If the majority of your thoughts are positive, then you’ll feel and be more positive, but if the majority of your self-talk is negative the outcome is not pretty.
The mind is a battlefield.
Most of life's battles are won or lost in the mind or your thought pattern.
What you think is what you become.
If you think I can't do something, I'll never be able to do something because I don't have what it takes.
If you think you cannot, you'll probably won't.
If you think you can, you'll probably will.
Step Out Step In, to
Renew your Thoughts Patten
Replace your stinking with good, pure, noble thoughts
Rewire your thought process
Reframe your mind
Rejoice in your life
Remember! The World Needs Your Unique Gifts, Talents, and Abilities Don’t Leave this world with Them Still Unwrapped Inside You

Episode 9 - Your SHAPE
God has made us all into various shapes and sizes for a reason and a purpose.
When I talk about SHAPE, it is not about the shape of your body.
SHAPE in this context is an Acronym that I will explain later.
What God made you to be, Determines what He Intends for you to do.
Your life is determined by your SHAPE.
When your gifts don't match the role you play in life, you feel like a square plug in a round hole.
This can be very frustrating to you and others.
God is consistent in His plan for your life.
God will not give you
We now want to identify and understand the Five SHAPE factors for your life.
A unique way God intends for each of us to serve Him.
When it comes to your personal life your function flows out of the way by which God formed you.
God has been molding and shaping you to fulfill your purpose since you were born.
In fact, God began shaping you before you were born

Episode 8 - Your Success
SUCCESS
Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose:
My Definition of Success is Identifying and knowing your Purpose and Living it to the Fullest.
Success is Predictable so you can easily plan for Success.
To be successful, you have to make a decision.
Success is predictable because life is designed for your success.
Failure is also predictable because it has the same results as a success.
God designed everything He created to be Successful.
You will never see a fish that cannot swim naturally or
a bird that cannot fly naturally.
When placed in the soil, every seed with the right amount of moisture and temperature is designed to bring forth a plant or a tree. You don't have to pray.
Everything God designed, He built into it its success.
That is why you are very important to God.
The average human being does not know why they are here on earth.
They wake up every morning, go to a job they hate, work with people they don't like, get paid less than they are worth, and die too young from stress and frustration.
This is all a result of not knowing Why they exist.
Without a Purpose, life has no meaning and no sense of destiny and positioning.
Many people have no idea of their abilities, and studies tell us, about 90% of people will die and never achieve more than 10% of their Abilities.
Every human being wants to be successful.
I have never met anyone who says I plan to fail tomorrow.
Everybody wants to succeed.

Episode 7 - Your Purpose
I want to let you know that I have good news for you. The good news is that You are not an accident and were not a mistake or an experiment.
You were created on Purpose, for a Purpose, and for His/God's Purpose.
Yesterday ended last night and today is a brand new day.
Regardless of the good, bad and ugly, you are still here.
Step Out Step In, to Identifying, Living, and Fulfilling your Purpose.
Finding your Purpose and Fulfilling it is the Key. God had you planned even before your grandmother and grandfather met to make your father and your mother.
Purpose is the reason why a thing was made or created.God created you on Purpose and for a Purpose. When you don't know your purpose in life, you become frustrated in life and time and you take your frustrations on others.
When you don't know your purpose. You don’t value life anymore.
That is when you keep asking:
What am I doing on earth
Why am I going through these challenging moments?
Why am I going to the same job I hate?
Why are my bills becoming hills?
When you have a Purpose in life,
It disciplines your behavior and the choices you make as well as your habits.
Purpose gives life meaning.
Keys to Step Out Step In, to a Purpose-Driven Life
That is why when you purchase any new product such as electronics, or cars, they come with a user's manual or quick reference guide which you are instructed to read before assembling the product or operating the vehicle.
The only way you can find or identify your purpose is to go to your creator, God.
God knows your future long before you were born. Yes, sometimes, life will take you on a detour in order to reroute you to identify your purpose. Working, making a living, paying bills, retiring, and taking a pension is not your purpose.
There is something more to it.
Some people who fulfilled their purpose in life died early such as J.F. Kennedy (JFK) and Martin Luther King Jr (MLK) and they cannot be erased from history. This year as well as next year and the years ahead be determined to use your time effectively, efficiently, and wisely.
Don't waste time. In fact, wasting time is wasting life. Decide to choose friends that will help you achieve your goals. Read books to acquire more knowledge that will take you to your destination. Face the proper book the bible and a real book and stop wasting time on Facebook. Time is divided into Days, Weeks, Months, and Years so we can live life in doses and bring closure to our past failures, disappointments, and successes.
God will not help you to become someone else.
He did not create you as a carbon copy or a duplicate
He custom-made you as an original with amazing gifts, talents, gifts, and abilities.
He will help you to be you. So be you.
Know that You are special and unique out of the 8 billion people on earth.

Maximize your Time
Live your Purpose

We are all on a journey through life and the decisions we make today can or will determine where we will be tomorrow or in the future.
Your Where can be looked at to determine your next level and destination after your mission and assignment on earth is completed.
Identifying your Where can bring you to a place in your life where other people's lives can be positively impacted by adding value to them.

In Episode 5. I'll deal with your How
Knowing your Why, Who, and What will allow your How to fall in place.
Most people do not understand their How because they have not taken a moment to understand the Why, Who, and What.
Most people were taught how to cook rice that way, but we never bothered to ask the Why before the How.
Up and to date, that is how I have been cooking rice even in a rice cooker until one day, I bought a bag of rice from the store and the instruction was DO NOT WASH BEFORE COOKING.
That turned on the light for me to find out Why do I have to wash the rice before cooking it.
This reminds me of a story of this little girl who watched her mother cook fish in a baking pan. She watched her mother cut off the head and tail of the fish as she placed it in the baking pan. The little girl asked her mother why she cut off the head and tail of the fish and her response was, that was how her mother cooked fish. This little girl had the opportunity to visit her grandmother, so she asked her why she cooked fish by cutting off the head and tail. She also responded that was how she also saw her mother cook fish. The little girl and her grandmother visited her great-grandmother and they posed the same question to her. She then explained that her cooking pot was one size too small and that the only way the fish would fit the pot was to cut off the head and the tail. Knowing your How allows you not to follow the crowd and the status quo.
Your How makes you different from everyone else and that is what makes you unique.
1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
1 Peter 2:9 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Step Out Step In to identify your How.
In other words, identify How you do things effectively to be more productive.
Let your How separate you from everyone else to make you that unique individual.
Step Out Step In to know and understand Your How.

In this Episode 4, I will be dealing with Your What
Once you have identified your Why and your Who, you can navigate your way through identifying your What.
Your What is what on earth have you been tasked and assigned to do.
Everyone has a God-given assignment and task designed for only you to accomplish.
You can always Step Out and Step In to your What, when you have identified your “Why” and “Who”.
Throughout the Bible, there were many people who knew what their assignment was.
Your What is sometimes designed in a manner of going through a process of challenges, defeats, and failures, but God will use all that to prepare you for whatever your assignment is.
When you know your What, you do not lose your focus and you do not give up no matter what.
Joseph’s What was to become the Prime Minister of Egypt.
He knew his What when he dreamt.
His brothers hated him after he told his dream to them.
Moses’ What was to deliver the children of Israel out of Egyptian captivity and bondage. Moses was a Jew growing up in Pharos’s palace at a time when all Jewish babies under two years were ordered to be killed.
David’s What was to be the next king of Israel.
His seven brothers hated him because he was born out of wedlock.
He was a shepherd to his father’s sheep at the backside of the wilderness.
He almost missed his own prophetic conference organized in his father’s house to be anointed as the next king of Israel.
Jesus’ What was to offer Himself as a sacrifice for you and me to reconcile us back to God. The first Adam relegated the power God invested in man to satan out of disobedience and sin.
The second Adam, Jesus Christ reinstated that power back to man because of His obedience to God.
Luke 10:19 (NKJV)Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
The only power the devil stole from man has been handed over back to man with authority.
Jesus stayed focused because He knew His What. Because Jesus knew and understood His What, you can also understand your What through Christ Jesus.
Do you know your What? Take a moment to identify your What.
You were created as a unique, wonderful, peculiar an amazing individual with so much potential, gifts, talents, and abilities that your What will allow you to give to the world and your generation what God packaged you with.
The World Needs Your Unique Gifts, Talents, and Abilities. Don’t Leave with ThemStill Unwrapped Inside You

Who you are matters to God a lot.
Knowing your “Why” will help you navigate to know Who you are.
As a child of God, you belong to God’s chosen family.
1 Peter 2:9 (NLT)But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,[a] a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
It is important to know and understand who you are in Christ.
Many people have continued to look down on themselves, and have considered themselves to be inferior, I don't amount to anything which makes them think they do not have anything to offer in life and to their generation.
Sometimes, many people look at their background, that is where they are coming from, or their status in life-based on their education to identify who they are.
When God had an assignment for Gideon to deliver the Israelites from the Midianites, he was found in the wine press threshing wheat.
Gideon was in the wrong place, doing the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Israel was at war and had been taken captive and out of fear and not placing any value on himself, Gideon went into hiding.
When the angel of the Lord appeared to him, God looked beyond his fears and called him a mighty man of valor meaning he was a hero in the sight of God.
Judges 6:15 (NLT)
“But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!”
When the angel of the Lord had mentioned to Gideon that God was with him, he found and gave all kinds of excuses why he was not the right fit for God’s assignment because of where he came from, the tribe of Manasseh and being the least in his entire family.
God does not make us who we are based on where we come from but based on Who we are in Him.
1 John 4:4 (NKJV)You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Jesus Christ did not allow where He was born to limit His ministry and His assignment on earth. Nazareth was a place where I believe nothing good came out.
John 1:46 (NKJV)
And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
You are who you are in Christ Jesus.
If you will resign from giving excuses God will let you know who you are so you can Step Out and Step In to God’s giving assignment for your life.
This is one thing I know about God.
He does not call the qualified who is unavailable, but He qualifies the one He calls who is available.
Understanding your Why will help you to navigate to know your Who.
Step Out Step In to know and understand your Who in order to live a very productive and fruitful life.

Thank you for tuning in to Episode 2 of the Step Out Step In Podcast.
My name is David Gyawu. I'm a Pastor, a Person of Faith, an Author, A Husband, a Father to my wonderful biological and spiritual children, and a friend.
In this episode, I will be talking about Knowing Your Why.
Why is a question you ask when you want to get an understanding of a statement made or a question. Anytime my kids will ask me an opened ended question and I answered NO they would demand a Why.
Asking “Why” gives you a better understanding of who you are and how things work and operate.
The reason why many people are where they are in life and doing what they continue to do without making changes and adjustments is, they have not asked the “Why” for their existence.
I have good news for you. Always remember and Know that You are never a mistake, an error or an experiment. God had you in mind even before your parents met.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NLT)“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
God had to tell Jeremiah that before he was a clot of blood in his mother’s womb, He knew him. Not only did He know him before he was born but chose and set him apart as a prophet to the nations.
Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT)Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
The Apostle Paul informed the church of Ephesus that God had thought of you, chosen and loved you before He made the world.
My question to you is Why did God create you and Why are you here?
Why are you here?
Have you ever asked yourself this question
Why are you here?
Why was I born?
Why were you the only one who beat your potential siblings and won the conception swimming race? Think about it.
God created everything including you on purpose and for a purpose.
Purpose is the reason a thing was created or made.
The purpose of a thing is in the mind of the creator.
When a purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable.
When God created you, there was a specific task and assignment that has been assigned to you and you are the only one that can accomplish it based on the God-given abilities.
Proverbs 19:21 (NLT)You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.
You might have your own many plans, but God will every now and then intercept your plans because He has a purpose for you.
If you are still struggling with identifying your purpose, I humbly suggest or should I say I highly recommend that you go to your creator - God.
Many people have and some continue to abuse their lives because they have not identified their “Why”. Knowing your “Why” will allow you to Step out and Step In to the reason for your Purpose and Existence.
Step Out Step In to know and understand your Why in order to live a very productive life.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, I officially welcome you to Episode 1 of Step Out Step In Podcast.
My name is David Gyawu. I'm a Pastor, a Person of Faith and an Author, A Husband, and a Father to my 3 wonderful biological and many spiritual children.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic season, I had the opportunity to write and self-publish my first book, Step Out Step In which is currently on Amazon.
I will host The Step Out Step In Weekly Podcast on Mondays at 6:00 pm.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic season, I had the opportunity to write and self-publish my first book, Step Out Step In which is currently on Amazon.
As I mentioned in my introduction, I am a person of Faith. I wrote this book based on a bible story from Matthew 14 where Jesus asked His disciples to get in the boat to the other side after feeding the 5000.
In the middle of the sea, they encountered a storm, 12 disciples in a boat, in the middle of the stormy sea and between 3:00 am and 6:00 am they saw Jesus walking on the sea which was stormy.
They all see Jesus because He identified himself to them. Peter decided to do something remarkable and different from the rest.
He sees Jesus walking on water and asks for an invitation, saying, " bid me to come if it is you. Jesus responds with one word Come. Peter acts on the word Come and steps out of the boat, a place of safety, comfort, and security, and Steps Into the raging and boisterous waters and begins to walk on the storm waters just as his Master Jesus was doing.
Many people have stepped into places and positions in their lives but find it difficult to step out.
Sometimes we hear this phrase, If it is not Broken Don't Fix It.
It is effortless to be stuck in a place of comfort and be reluctant to move out to step out.
Your comfort zone will give you safety, security, and of course comfort but it takes you nowhere.
In order to Step Out and Step In one will have to understand
Your Why, Your Who, Your What, Your How, and Your Where.
In the next Episodes, I will be talking about Your Why, Your Who, Your What, Your How, and Your Where.
