Justine and Sammy from Employed To Serve discuss their plans for a new album, their most recent album, Conquering, touring, and their approach to writing metal music.
Anthony reflects on early musical influences on him personally and Genesis and selects several pieces of music for inclusion in our "virtual vinyl vault", a library of music for anyone in need of mental relaxation, or an uplift, or pure escapism. Anthony then gives his "vinyl answer".
Anthony talks about the 12 string sound he developed with Mike Rutherford which featured on the earlier Genesis albums. He also talks about his latest album The Golden Hour (Private Parts and Pieces XIII) and how he balances his TV and music library work with his more elaborate solo work.
In the second and final part of this May 2024 interview, Amanda Lehmann talks about her musical loves and influences. We discuss the benefits of music in the context of promoting good mental health, and Amanda nominates three albums for different moods. We finish with Amanda’s “vinyl answer”. In part one of a two part interview, Amanda Lehmann talks about her formative music-writing years, recording and touring with Steve Hackett, and her ongoing success as a solo artist with the 2021 launch of her well-received album, Innocence and Illusion.
