Its time to put on your lab coats because in this episode I am going to show you how to use the Scientific Method to shift your mentality into problem solving mode.

Step 1: Observation- Notice things that are going well and the things that need improvement or seem to be a struggle.

Step 2:  As questions- Get curious about why this is happening or how.

Step 3: Hypothesis- Make a guess about why this is happening.

Step 4: Experiment- What could we change or manipulate to get a more favorable outcome.

Step 5: Analysis-Look at the changes you have observed.

Step 6: Conclusion-Did it make the situation better? What did we learn?

Give it a try and get curious about analyzing and looking for solutions.

What is inclusion? That's what you might be asking yourself. The answer is just as the name suggests. It is a concept that is widely referred to and even praised within the special needs community and our education system. It is the idea that every child regardless of their physical, emotional, and developmental disability will be included within a classroom, or any activity as fully and equally as their traditional peers. But is this actually what is best for your child? That is what I am going to talk about as I share my experiences as a special needs mom and frequent school volunteer and advocate.
