Hosted by the Colearn team, with guests who bring different perspectives. Combining science, research, practice, reflection and discussion we colearn together with our guests and participants.
Colearn is founded on the insight that an organisation’s ability to change is equal to it’s people’s ability to learn. We believe making learning an integral part of everyday work and life is the only long term sustainable strategy.

When driving change initiatives in our organisations we tend to communicate the importance of behaviour change. But it is often prescribed and the idea of being changed is not all that attractive to people. So what if we shift our change efforts and communication from behaviour change towards behaviour choice?

How do you prepare your organisation and up-skill your trainers for a hybrid world?
In this Colearn Session we invited Märta Asp from Volvo CE, Teresa Wiklund from Folke Bernadotte Academy and Noomi Simmonds from Handelsbanken to share what they have done, the change they have seen, and the lessons they have learned.
Handelsbanken (a bank), Volvo CE (a global construction equipment manufacturer), and Folke Bernadotte Academy (Sweden’s government agency for peace, security and development) have all been on different, yet similar journeys to support their organisations to adapt towards a more hybrid way of learning.

What goals and KPIs support your journey towards becoming a learning organization?
More and more organisations are identifying learning as a strategic imperative. They are establishing new approaches to enable knowledge sharing across the organisation, support employees to lead their own development, and foster a culture of continues learning as part of the everyday flow of work. Many are now looking for relevant and clear ways to set goals and measure the effects of these changes.
In this session we facilitated a conversation around how to measure the impact of creating a learning organisation together with people growth expert Siri Wikander (ex-Scandic, Hemfrid and Axfood).
The questions we explored:
- What is a Learning Organization and why is it important?
- How can we make learning a strategic priority?
- How can we measure the progress towards becoming a learning organization?

Want your organization's competence development to be more adaptive and agile?
During this session, we explored how we can enable employees to create and spread learning experiences across the organisation. We share highlights from research, our takeaways from developing learning solutions with ICA Group and other companies.
We were also joined by David Nordqvist (L&D Partner at ICA Group) who shared some of their learnings from working on this topic.
As new information, skills, and experiences are constantly being developed, organizations need to find smarter and faster ways to continuously transfer knowledge across the organisation. What's needed is a culture where learning and knowledge sharing is embedded in the ways of working – where everyone is both a teacher and a learner. This speeds up decision-making, creates resilience to change, and increases innovation.
So the question is: How can you support your employees to activate their ability to create learning opportunities for each other?
