Navigating Life's Storms: Overcoming Overwhelm through Faith and Resilience In the hustle and bustle of life, the feeling of being overwhelmed can often become an unwelcome companion, casting shadows on our thoughts and emotions. This emotion, while a natural response to life's challenges, can pave the way for a cascade of negative thoughts that threaten to erode our well-being and sense of purpose.
When life's demands pile up, it's all too easy to find ourselves caught in a whirlwind of stress and anxiety. As we explore these emotions on our podcast, we recognize that these negative thoughts are not the path that leads to growth and fulfillment. They are not reflections of our true selves, nor are they messages from our higher power.
Drawing strength from our shared experiences, we highlight the transformative power of acknowledging these feelings and seeking a path towards renewal. By recognizing that these burdensome thoughts do not define us and are not aligned with our spiritual journey, we open the door to a more resilient and hopeful perspective. Through candid discussions, we emphasize the importance of reaching out to one another and, most importantly, surrendering in prayer to a higher source of guidance and comfort.
Together, we embrace the power of surrendering our worries and fears to God, allowing His divine guidance to lead us towards a future filled with resilience, purpose, and an unwavering sense of peace.

Fostering for 3 years had some experiences ups and downs. This opened a door to adopt a beautiful son with Down syndrome which has been a huge blessing in our lives. There were struggles with him crawling, walking, medical scares but these obstacles eventually turned into amazing blessings. Down syndrome is the most common chromosomal disorder. One out of every 700 babies are born with it, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. People with Down syndrome have a wide range of developmental and cognitive impairments and are at increased risk of health problems like hearing loss and heart abnormalities. Down syndrome was Native American cultures believed (and still do to this day) that disability, or difference rather, is the result of “disharmony of the spirit. For the most part, however, disability was viewed as a moral problem, often bringing disgrace to families who had a disabled loved one.
Fostering is a program supported by the State and this can lead to adoption with a child who needs a home. My son is going to be 10 years old and has a great life with family who truly loves him. Adoption is a great opportunity to give a child who has or had a hard life experience love and a functional atmosphere.

While many couples see remarriage as a second chance at happiness, the statistics tell a different story. Do these statistics define your marriage?
We've all heard the claim that almost half of all marriages in the U.S. end in divorce. According to Census data, the divorce rate for second marriages in the United States is over 60% compared to around 50% for first marriages.
But did you know that statistic is even higher for subsequent marriages? In fact, 67% of second marriages and 74% of third marriages end in divorce.
According to Census Bureau, they have found out that 42-45% percent of first marriages end in divorce, 60% of second marriages end in divorce, and 73% of third marriages end in divorce. Therefore, following the trend, we can guess that the 4th marriage divorce rate is likely to be 80-83%.
Other issues that Arise:
Rebound
Not working through hurt and your faults
Becoming strangers an individual.
Not Allowing Healing
Not using sex with strings attached
Know that here can be a learning curve when forming a blended family.
There may be times at the beginning where you or your partner don't know how to react what decisions to make. There may also be times where you make mistakes. This is natural; you are both human. Be open and honest about all of these things and try to be willing to make changes throughout the blending process.
Talk to the children, especially about mistakes made and what you're going to change going forward. This can help your relationships to continue to grow and may allow the family to thrive with more ease.
