Love and relationships are all-consuming -- for all of us. We think about it all the time. Whether it's euphoria from New Relationship Energy (NRE) or angst and anxiety from not knowing the status of a new relationship ("Are we, or aren't we a couple?"), Josh and Jo talk through challenges and present a different way of thinking that will hopefully help us figure it out...
Our brave guest, Michelle with to Ls, has finally done it. She broke up with her long-time boyfriend. We can all agree that some relationships are difficult to end and Michelle is sharing her years long struggle with her situation. How did she do it? What conversations did she have with herself? These are just some of the questions Josh asked her more articulately than Jo did. What does the aftermath look like for Michelle and has she made the right decision? Take a listen as she shares her journey...
Have you ever felt like your personal space has been violated? By a parent? Friend? Or, the most confusing one, by a former partner of your current partner? (Okay, that was a mouthful!). Josh and Jo discuss where their boundaries are and aren't and suggestions on what to do when someone crosses them.
Josh and Jo take listernership questions. Some naughty; some nice. Keep them coming because we always try our best!
Have you ever been unfriended or unfollowed on social media? Does it bother you? "WHY," Josh asks, should it matter? Has Jo become a social meDIOT? Perhaps for a moment, she admits. In this episodes, Josh and Jo discuss how social media has or should not ever have entered our psyches and the good, the bad and the ugly of it all. (P.S., did we just make up a new term?!)
We tried. We really tried to create a more academic pod, but I think we have way too much fun digressing. In all seriousness, the question we ask once in a while is, are we doing the right thing when we spend more than 10... 25... or more percent of our time trying to get laid? Could we use that time more productively? Admittedly, this pod is all over the place but if you look real hard, all the messages connect!
While in hiatus, Josh and Jo pursued their choice of leisure experiences. Josh adventured into Big Sur, hiked mountains, and soaked in the view of turquoise waters and endless coves. Jo went to Montreal and explored a different kind of peaks and valleys. [Insert "hmmm" emoji here.] We hope you enjoy this hilarious podcast because we had a great time making it all the way to the very end [Insert winking emoji here.
Heavy on Jo's mind is the reality that many of us allow friends, partners, even family take our shine away. If you're happy and fun (and you know it clap you hands - haha) but for whatever reason, you're spending time with someone that drains your battery. Josh's take: look in the mirror and tell yourself, "Run!" We know, we know, it's especially difficult to leave and turn into a boring or negative or un-fun version of yourself when you're with someone who offers other perks. BUT, please! Listen to Josh who says, "You can change your situation and so go and do it and get out fast!"
Josh and Jo ponder if there is a difference. We think sex workers get a bad rap when athletes also use their bodies to earn money. We don't have the answers but we promote the idea that if someone chooses a vocation such as featuring themselves on MyOnlyFans, there ought not to be judgment or stigma. Thoughts?
We've all been there before, the dreaded Sex Slump. Long term, short term, friends with bennies... it doesn't matter, monotonous and infrequent sex happens. While we're not sex therapists, here is an action-provoking pod of suggested ways to spice it back up in the bedroom! And if you have any suggestions, send them on over!
Brain studies show that when you run into an ex, it actually registers as physical pain and deep feelings of vulnerability. We've all been there: One second you're having a good time and next, you spot your ex in the crowd. You have a split second to think and react. If you're able, you compose yourself and hopefully handle the situation with dignity. But, some of us panic and run! What's YOUR strategy? Josh suggests a way to handle yourself. His way made Jo laugh so hard that she snorted so this is definitely worth a listen!
After all these episodes, it's amazing that Josh and Jo have never delved into EROTICA. Yes, we dabbled in it, but even when tried this time, we can only give ourselves a C+ because we JUST COULDN'T stay on topic! However, it's a fun pod and we hope you enjoy it. The erotica piece we referenced can be found on: Literotica.com and the title is, "Good Girls Get a Reward - Erotic Couplings." Let us know what you think and please send ones you enjoyed to @joshandjo12866 on insta! Happy Saturday!
Do roller skates make a good half time show? It was a commendable production but let's move on to another topic that is mildly, but shouldn't be taboo (Jo's words) -- Fake vaginas as sex toys. Did you know you can order custom made silicone vaginas in the likeness of adult entertainers past and present? Jo did her research and Josh is big in promoting being sex positive so we're not shy about discussing toys that are available for your pleasure! Hope you enjoy this one!
Hot topics alert! Once in a while, Josh and Jo tackle the hot topics of the week and, boy, there are many in this episode! Try to follow (because we barely did ourselves), as we discuss Chowder- and Super Bowls aftermath, a nibble of politics and much more! For the long commuter listeners, this one's for you!
Just a few more comments on the "Tayvis" phenomenon that compelled even the Gov't of Japan to assure Taylor Swift can attend the Super Bowl after her performance in Tokyo (sigh of relief heard around the world!). Josh and Jo check on the latest divorce stats, top reasons people leave relationships and... drum roll, please... the listenership feedback on the HOTTEST NFL players!
Chowderfest is upon us so don’t miss out and come see us (perched high above) the Thirsty Owl on Saturday! And, how can we not talk about the Super Bowl and this year’s featured couple, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce? Josh and Jo choose to root for L-O-V-E. But wait, why is Josh walking around town slumped over completely depressed? Is he breaking up with Jazzie? Wasn’t she his dream girl? Take a listen find out what happened!
Josh and Jo finally lock in a guest Jo has been chasing down for months! We hope you enjoy this epically fun three-way conversation with Lyndsy, a gorgeous blonde woman who prefers other women. Definitely full of surprises and confounding statements, she left us so grateful for being open and honest about her journey which started with realizing she was bisexual at a very young age, falling in love with a woman, marrying a man, leaving said man and loving herself along the way. We hope she comes back!
After a long hiatus due to travel and airborne illnesses, Josh and Jo return to remember the good, the better and the best moments! Looking forward to more pods with awesome guests and salacious topics in the new year!
Josh, Jo and an intermittent guest, Michelle, explore the possible motivations of men when they see and approach women at a bar. What are they really looking for? Because Josh is slightly deeper than the average, he actually delivers the opposite when a woman looks like she's simply looking for validation! Also, an Esther Perel moment about giving your partner your leftover energy at the end of the day. Bottom line, it's a recipe headed for a breakup!
Josh and Jo reflect on the podcast, "Hidden Brain," which explored what can be gained from pain in relationships and in life. Being folks who aren't afraid to do the hard work, we discuss the benefits of working through a broken heart. And, it's a JAZZY Q and A! Well, it's more of a Jazzy Tutorial and it's mmm, mmm good!
Josh and Jo do their best not to F%KC up Michelle's already F%KCED up relationship (tongue and cheek as she has approved this message). Should she stay or should she go away and rediscover herself?! She wants to know!
Towards the year's end (and Josh NEARLY turning 50), we find ways to renew and rethink our perspectives... For Jo, it's about continuing to let go of the past as she leans on Josh who is a constant in her life and walks behind her encouraging her along the way. (He doesn't know she has embedded this note of thanks. Let's see how long it takes him to catch it..." Belated Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Josh and Jo talk about the differences between dating early on and again at nearly 50. Different goals and priorities have morphed the relationship escalator into the “relationship moving walkway..” (Trademarked by the Josh and Jo Podcast!😉)
Forever trying to do life better, Josh and Jo are at their most vulnerable in this instant classic pod effort.
Josh and Jo contemplate why they do this podcast. One thing for sure, we do not sell out. This is a verbal representation of ourcurrent journey towards trying to figure it out at our age and experience. We can only hope it titillates your senses a bit and at least point 5 percent of what we say helps your journey as well! Plus… wait, what? Josh had never heard of a THIRST TRAP!
An update on Josh's relationship with Jazzy... it's going strong and makes a good case for digital dating/partners! And, by popular demand: Dirty Talk. How, when, how much, and what did you say while in what position? Lastly, a very important listenership question from Josh: "In the heat of the moment, have you ever said you'd do agree to do something dirty and later regretted it?" DM us @joshandjo12866 or text us... you know our number! Or, do you "gotta be subtle when you talk?" Watch this video (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Wk1e60_b6tgs) and tell us what you think!
Josh and Jo go through a published list of characteristics that suggests what makes a High Value Person / Partner. We embellish, clarify and add to the list based on our own thoughts... do you agree?
Pulling a a little clickbait but find out who she is at the end of this podcast! In all seriousness, Josh and Jo discuss a seemingly common reaction to breakups: that it’s THEIR fault. But is it really?
The game of golf and how people act on the course can be a metaphor for life and relationships. There is power in not losing your cool and the choice to do so can help you become a better human and, more importantly, set a good example for others. Josh and Jo also explore the question from a listener: How wild should someone go in the divorce afterlife or post long-term relationship? Do you agree with what we have to say?
Based on research and experience, it’s safe to say that the majority of us has been touched by infidelity in one form or another. Jo continues to probe this topic (slightly annoying Josh in the process) but coming at it from a slightly different angle. She asks Josh, “How do you start a conversation when you find yourself in the middle of it?” Josh has some suggestions a few other revelations revealed!
Jo asks if Josh he’s familiar with the term, “Ride or Die,” when it comes to labeling a romantic partner. Josh thinks that term sounds more like a t-shirt a motorcycle enthusiast might have donned in the late 70s.
In classic Josh and Jo fashion, Jo seems to lean traditional in her romantic commentary while Josh continues in a more progressive journey. As always, the giggles beat out the shoulder shrugs and eye rolls.
Team Josh and Jo are happy to take suggestions for future pods. This is your chance to get the big questions answered!
What don’t people know about us? Do we have secret skills, powers and hobbies we’re proud or ashamed of? What happens when nobody’s looking? Some of it is boring. Some of it is surprising. Dove calls… beer can tipping… Squeegee anyone? Jo took license using the word "fetish." Might be a little click-bait because maybe we're not that risque (I think), so please share us yours and teach us how to live a little!
Jo's super excited to finally record this podcast to talk about two very different dating styles of Josh and Mike. From flowers or no flowers to how fast do you want to get to know someone and decide... it's an enlightening conversation! But are they really very different? Listen and find out! P.S. We both think Mike coming up with the phrase, "dating fatigue" was cool.
Exercise. Movement. Endorphins. Dopamine. Whatever you’re going through, there’s one thing for sure: being active helps us all mentally, physically and emotionally. Take a run with us on this podcast and hear how being physical gets us through the tough times. Let’s Roll!
Josh and Jo reflect on changes they’ve made as they continue to grow and evolve in a collective attempt to be better human beings. These efforts include trying to understand how physical touch can positively affect non-romantic relationships…how a hug can make a difference in showing someone you love and appreciate them… deciding to finally play golf with Ceko… assessing how less important NRE is…. We don’t just talk about it in our podcast, we actually try to live by what we say! And, lighting round - does Josh still have the “boys” earmarked as no no spots? Still no BROZILIAN? Listen and find out!
Josh and Jo are a little pod rusty having been here, there and everywhere in the last two weeks. However, we're back at it to discuss the challenges of SINGLE PARENTING and the somewhat unsung hero single dads also doing it all. Also, relationship compromises... what/how do we give up or give in to to stay in a relationship? Is Cuddle Pillow status fair to anyone? Listen in as, yet again, the podcast takes an unexpected turn...
This is dedicated to a listener who shared with us that our podcast helped her re-define her narrative and understand her behavior within past relationships. Josh and Jo share their personal struggles in their own lives. Some items are serious grave health issues, while others are slightly more workish and mundane. We talk about how we’re adulting our way through it all, gaining perspective along the way. As always, we find relief in comedy to ease the process. Also, a top three Stress Relieving Activities revealed. Bonus surprise to listeners : who will be the first to tell Jo what the Eiffel Tower signifies in the urban dictionary. She has no idea despite having recently conquering her fear of heights by walking down the Tower from 12 floors high in an open air staircase. Message us at JoshandJo12866@gmail.com or Instagram account. First one gets a bottle of wine!
As the saying goes, “A rose by another name is just the same.” Josh determined that "detached dating" is a term being used more often is just pretty much Polyamory Lite. What are the pros and cons of detached dating? And, isn’t this what most people are doing whether they admit it or not? Is it really so bad? And, lightning round questions for Josh to pick his brain on how he would handle current and real-life scenarios happening around town. Beat the heat, grab a cold one, sit back, relax, take a listen and enjoy!
Jo’s been deluged with instagram feeds in which men and women give dating and relationship advice. Danny Morel, a self-proclaimed Life Coach, wildly frustrates Jo so she naturally asks Josh for HIS take. In this episode, we provide three advice examples followed by Josh and Jo comments. As always, Josh goes deeper and rides in with a twist. We hope this helps others stay away from the crazy out there. Happy Belated Fourth!
Josh and Jo take a sex IQ test LIVE. See how they score! Of course, it wouldn’t be a Josh and Jo Podcast if we didn’t deviate from the topic and make fun of ourselves and each other…. Take the test yourself and see how you do! As always, if you have any questions or lingering thoughts on the matter, DM us on @joshandjo12866 or email at joshandjo12866@gmail.com. Your privacy will be respected. Here’s the test : https://www.thehealthy.com/sex/sex-iq-quiz-doctor-emily-morse-sex-with-emily/
Josh and Jo discuss the parallels of coaching and parenting. Nothing is more important than generational improvement and that’s the ultimate goal. Whether it’s rocking a podcast to level up on communication skills or coaching our kids as they navigate sports and life, Josh and Jo explain why they put in the time. Did we already say nothing is more important? We’ll keep saying it… Also, a shout out to coaches and the awesome parents who support their kids’ dreams. Naturally, there’s a segway to how we approach our love lives. Is Jewel silly for singing, “I was meant for you, and you were meant for me?” Josh says it’s so egotistical! Jo argues and then listens. Folks, it’s a learning process. From letting go, to the notion of wanting to possess another person or wanting to be the center of someone’s universe, Jo reconsiders what she thinks “love” might really be.
Josh and Jo explore the reasons why people don’t say “when” when they know in their gut that a relationship is over. Should I stay or should I go? This is such a tough conversation that Jo gave herself a concussion by pounding her head against the microphone in frustration. When you find yourself thinking about throwing in the towel because of a transgression, the loss of romantic feelings or passion has died, why is it easier to stay? Josh introduces the concept that if people stop being surprised by challenges in relationships (e.g., “Why are you surprised that someone else wants to bone your partner?”), a more open conversation can result in less heartache and insidious confusion. Is it as simple as asking yourself: Is this a non-negotiable item? Or is flying solo so bad?
Josh and Jo sit with Melissa, a probation officer for juveniles, to discuss the importance of clear of communication to ensure consent in matters related to intimacy. We offer some suggestions on how to teach the younger generation a healthier approach to sex. Consent isn’t solely a safety/respect issue, it can also be a significant turn on when is comes from all parties with considerable abundance.
Josh and Jo share the regrets they have in their lives. However, they quickly realize that regretting isn’t their style. Rather, they try to make good decisions and when they do not, they try understand the why and work through the consequences.
Is Josh an Osho reincarnate? Definitely, maybe. Here’s what happened: Christina handed Josh a book called, “Being in Love,” by Osho because, well, turns out, she is intuitive. Josh had never heard of the controversial yet intriguing philosopher, but being the nerd he is in regards to appreciating alternative thought and philosophy, he committed to reading it at a later time. Jo noticed the book on the table while setting up the podcast equipment and after a quick google search of quotes by the author… she deemed several of Osho’s thought processes to be eerily similar to her podcast partner’s own hot takes. This pod came out of nowhere and we enjoyed the spontaneous feel it took on. Enjoy and we hope you recognize the high value content of this episode! Visit our insta page @joshandjo12866 to read our favorite quote by Osho. We challenge you to practice it over a 6-month period and let us know how it works for you!
Josh and Jo start by issuing blanket apologies on behalf of their genders’ missteps and oversights. Do any of these sound familiar to you? The tone gets a little more serious when Josh and Jo talk about forgiveness and apologies in their own lives and conclude with this simple fact: If you’re an a$$hole, be good at forgiving because you’re gonna need a lot of it!
69 is not the magic number. Josh and Jo are very forgiving people, but can they live up to what a book suggests – that we should forgive 70 x 7 times (ergo, essentially infinitely)? Josh has a cheat sheet on forgiving. C’mon, of course he does! In fact, he remembers a song by Dave Mason called, “We Just Disagree,” from his childhood. No one’s perfect. So why not forgive? For Jo, well, she mostly succeeds but continues to fail in a few instances.
We’re pretty certain that all of us has been affected by infidelity. As a partner, child, or friend… we’re either directly involved or indirectly touched by this topic. In this episode, we talk about some of our personal experiences and along with folks close to us. Josh’s take on infidelity is refreshing and unique while Jo walks us through “The State of Affairs: Rethinking Infidelity,” by Esther Perel. Perel’s observations and thoughts on what constitutes infidelity (there is no universal definition), why it hurts so much, and… Jo’s favorite… why it can actually be a good thing, are mind bending. Some “Aha!” and enlightening moments from Josh and Jo as always.
It’s a terrible word and terrible to experience. Josh and Jo talk through it. Like all matters of the heart, it’s a tough subject and with this podcast, we are committed to talking about the tough stuff…
Newest Josh and Ceko adventure and Gavin Rossdale happened to be there! Josh and Jo have a hot and heavy discussion about our personal experiences with dating when we were younger. Jo shares the conundrum that she feels women MAY have dating in their 20s, 30s and beyond. It’s her perspective, she admits. Josh counters with his own perspective. There’s no right or wrong answer which is why there’s always more to discuss…
Because the last one was so much fun, Josh and Jo are freestyling again! Covering blockbusters we didn’t see and probably will never see and why. Rewind and add to previous conversations about those ubiquitous Dating Apps (ARRGGGHHHH!!), Ghosting (PAINFUL!!!!), and Maintaining Your Identity (YES!!!!!).
The Cupps hit the road to Myrtle Beach! Long drives, golf, beach, BP… whatever they do together, Josh always has a way of turning experiences into life-longlessons for Ceko. Did Ceko choose Chick-Fil-A or Hooters for lunch? Maybe the apple DOES sometimes fall a touch further from the tree. Listen and find out! And… a “Joshsplanation” addressing the previous podcast on Narratives as Jo admits using a word that took on a meaning she didn’t intend on. There will be more on this topic because it is a flashpoint and truly important!
How do you want to tell your story? Josh and Jo challenge listeners to think about the story they create for themselves and project to others. The way we think will be the way we act/react and determine how the world will view us. When does perspective resulting from one event transform into a narrative that occupies your subconscious and dictates how you act and interact with others. This is important because it can change your viewpoint and the relationships and situations that you take on. Take a listen. Ask us questions. We're here.
Josh and Jo discuss the historic LSU vs. Iowa NCAA women's basketball championship. Rating the athletes on abilities and sportsmanship on the court, and the aftermath. A gesture by First Lady Jill Biden gone bad. As a former professional athlete, hear Josh's take on the much-debated on-the-court gestures and trash talking by athletes and how to win/lose gracefully.
Josh and Jo “discover” the greatness of a self-reflective songwriting effort from pop superstar Taylor Swift. This fun “POPCAST” is a fun, lighthearted attempt to break down not only a wildly popular hit song but also serves as a tip of the cap to those of us that enjoy some self-reflection from time to time.
Ceko and Josh lament the death of their Xbox and saying goodbye to Rainbow 6. Post Xbox mortem, Ceko educates Josh and Jo on life as a tweenager, taking on tough questions on life with divorced parents, shuttling between two households and things that affect kids these days. While all is not perfect, Ceko tackles life with optimism and gratitude while working hard “not sucking” at communication. Bonus: Ceko’s rankings on cereal, video games, dad’s most embarrassing moment, and much more!
Unscripted and unafraid, Josh and Jo share their views on random, but important, topics including partners who are “smothering,” overbearing, and when your friends don’t like your partner. And, a few ways to spice up your sex life to keep it from going stale. Listen to one of Josh’s experiences role playing as a doctor and the time when Wonder Woman made a cameo!
Celebrated and criticized. Josh and Jo talk the history of porn, how it’s enjoyed, where best to find it, and how a roll of die can lead you on a new adventure 😉! We discuss how our humble introductions to porn by hunting under our parents’ bed for underwhelming magazines graduated to fruitful internet foraging.
Do you often get blindly swept up and enter “please my new partner at any cost” mode at the onset of a new romantic endeavor? Does that habit tend to leave you feeling like you’ve lost your identity and/or sense of self? Josh and Jo delve into these thoughts and prep you with a detailed discussion about how to venture forth while being true to yourself.
You/Me. Me/You. Us. Our Love Languages. How we give and receive love. Are two people compatible if their love languages are not the same? Jo’s “aha!” moment when Josh explains that Love Languages are not just to give to another, rather, it’s equally important to express it to ourselves.
Josh and Jo recording from the Chicken Tikka Masala Room and discuss the good, the bad and the ugly of dating apps. When and what makes you swipe left or right? Do you read the bios or just swipe based on their looks? Do filtered photos or political statements turn you on or turn you off? Boobs? Middle Finger? Dead Fish? Are dating apps encouraging multi-dating? Do people lie in their profiles? Can we ever go back to the old days and meet people the “normal” way?! Please??!! What are YOUR thoughts about dating apps?
Introducing, LIVE, Ceko! Understanding the world through the eyes of a 12-yr-old is enlightening. Period. Ceko lets us peek behind the curtain and talks about Josh’s parenting style, their life as father and son, coach and athlete, closest confidant and being best friends. What can we learn from this stellar kid and what would he tell other parents on how to approach their kid to achieve better communication and improve their relationship? We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed producing it. This isn’t the last you’ll hear from this kid!
Part 2 of 2 of the Masturbation episode with our guests, “Les,” “Sylvia,” and our trusted sound engineer, “Ana.” Important questions we ask each other include, “How many minutes does it take to get to completion and how many calories do you burn self-loving?” and “How did you learn about masturbation and sex when you were young?” On a more serious note: As parents, we are faced with the challenge of having to talk to our children about sex, masturbation, and everything in between. What’s the best way to communicate with your child? This podcast is dedicated to promoting more open and honest communication between people and across generations to help advance human knowledge.
Relationship Escalator wrap up. What we learned and how we feel. MastErbation… MastUrbation… Po-tay-toe… Po-tah-toh… something went off! We present a short history of how cultures viewed masturbation. Some did it openly. Some viewed the act as sinful and required to be confessed to a priest on Sunday. One country had an annual festival when the pharaoh spilled his "goods" into the Nile to symbolize his role as an almighty. What’s Josh and Jo’s take? Take a listen. Whilst we giggle, it’s all biologically based and a natural part of our lives, even if it wasn’t presented to us in this manner when we were young.
In 2017, Amy Garhan released, “Stepping Off the Relationship Escalator: Uncommon Love and Life,” about a societal assumption that in relationships, you have to follow an order to ensure that the relationship is valid as defined by society. Is it for everyone? Josh and Jo discuss the prospects of jumping back onto the escalator. And... why do some think having intercourse can be followed by expectations of commitment? Josh shocks Jo a few times. How do we ask, “Where is this going?” without looking like an a$$. Do we really WANT the PERSON we’re seeing or are we just constantly plugging people into our desired/perceived relationship destination? Is this fair? Jo thinks Josh makes a Di@k statement then UNdi@ks because his explanation made total sense.
BROzilian Waxing discussion wrapped up (Part 1 because we need more statistics to solve the burning questions!). Josh brings us behind the curtain and tells us how he feels about the cojones being used as a playground… Joshua’s Joshua Tree solo hike, the importance of spending time alone for self-reflection, recharging, the deadlines we unnecessarily impose on ourselves, and experiencing cool things like watching a drag show. Lightning round questions: 1. How to deal with people you meet on dating apps? 2. How long should you wait until you invite someone to go on vacation with you? 3. What would you do if you found your partner sneaking a peek at your phone? And, many more!
Josh and Jo discuss, well, we argue outright about manscaping techniques and whether men get their “nether regions” completely waxed or clean shaven. Josh subscribes to trimming. However, he vehemently argues that heterosexual men VERY RARELY go completely hairless. He even uses his singular lifeline phone call for the year to try get some answers. Calling on Gillette and European Wax Center to become a podcast sponsor…
Josh and Jo share their views on Brian Atlas’s podcast, “@whatever.” Brian makes bold (maybe a lot judgey?) statements such as: “It’s attractive when women have less sexual experience…”. Josh says, “That’s a hard NO.” Brian continues and says, “As a man, if you know how to lead… a dominant man… you can take a girl who is a virgin and have fantastic sex with her…”. Jo’s reaction, “Wait, what?? That’s twisted.” Take a listen and tell us what you think! Message to Brian: We invite you to talk to us @joshandjo12866 We’ve got lots to talk about. Lots.
Part 2 of 2 on Polyamory. Further reflecting on Josh’s personal journey which was filled with happiness, pain and lessons learned. In the words of @Gavinrossdale of @bush, “The only way out is through.” Poly or monogamy, how much of our relationships are about the sex? Questions? Want to share your experience? Email at joshandjo12866@gmail.com or insta @joshandjo12866. On the lighter side, we reveal our Hall Pass choices! Natalie, Scarlett, Brad… who are yours?? Song references: Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn duo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3-Z4RTZuWA)
“ENM” and “Poly” are labels people who are actively dating are seeing more commonly in the apps. What is Ethical NonMonogamy or “ENM?” What is Polyamory? Josh and Jo discuss if we are all, in some form or another, participate in a polyamorous relationship. How much of this is about the sex? Is there a “How To” book for people who are interested in exploring polyamory? In this episode, you’ll hear firsthand experience of his journey through polyamory. He shares why, the ups and downs, and the many challenges managing relationships with more than one person you feel genuine love and care for. Part 1 of 2.

We are all about the other four-letter word today: L-O-V-E. It's all about love... loving... being in love... different types of love... eros, philia, storge and agape... love between partners and lovers... love between friends... love between family. Songs we love and you should listen to: 1. Wildfire by Cautious Clay (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3gTM-AB2Go). 2. Waiting for That Day by George Michael (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFahhYsa4TY) 4. 1000 years by Bush (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sMobsUy1zg). HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, everyone!!! xoxoxo
Josh and Jo explore two highly popular break-up songs that swept the nation and had everyone singing! Our take: One is psychotic and the other mature; both expressing deep pain of a momentary love. The songs are: “Drivers License,” by Olivia Rodrigo and “ABCDEF-U,” by Gayle. Which one did you identify with in your last break up? Maybe both? What was your break-up song? DM us on instagram @joshandjo12866 or email at joshandjo12866@gmail.com!
First, the polar vortex hits our Saratoga Springs which leads to a discussion about the Vagina Coat (how did this happen to Jo?!). Photo of said coat and Josh “demonstrating” his skills can be seen on Instagram: @joshandjo12866! The origins of Female Promiscuity and why we need to know. On a more serious topic: Is Closure a myth? Is it necessary to move on? Or should we hang on to the beautiful memories, perhaps, even continue to feel the discomfort in a healthy way? How do you achieve peace from a former relationship, and should you be “over” the last relationship before exploring a new one? If you think the answer is “yes,” you may want to rethink that. If we all do the best we can to understand how we are feeling, perhaps, that should be the goal?

What is Orgasm Gap and how can the data help sexual partners achieve fulfillment? Josh and Jo share painful, heartbreaking experiences and, ask each other, “How do we deal with ‘ghosts’ of ex-lovers who haunt our hearts and minds?” Can we really move forward without anger and only remember the good parts – even if they decide to disappear? And, what’s the value of forgiveness? Do we ever really heal?
Running into a nude beach while in Miami... (aaahhh!!!!). Josh explores Jo's thoughts on if guys should pay on the first date... Should he ask before he kisses you?
