Stick around for a convo about health. After losing my Grandpa to cancer at the age of 10 I had a weird relationship with illness.. It scared the shit out of me every time I had a cold. I think we take for granted the times we are healthy, or at least I do. As soon as I get sick I start telling myself I have to better and make healthier choices... but the reality of it is there are so many things that impact our health and that is why we need more people.... masses and masses of people get involved, some way, some how.
A follow up from last week... although at times I feel extremely overwhelmed, I have figured out some systems that help me tackle the many projects that I work on. One thing I can promise you is that although it may all appear chaotic.. it is very organized chaos... because I am obsessed with planning and organizing.. execution.. not so much.
I was on 100000 when I recorded this last week. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and to feel unsure of what I need to focus because there is always something or someone pulling for my attention. Always good things, things I am passionate about because I am passionate about everything and nothing gets done unless I am organized and disciplined which very much comes in waves, assuming I don't get distracted with other things.
Trying to maintain and start new friendships as a 30 something year old and busy ass mom and entrepreneur has proven to be a challenge but I stay optimistic because despite not having many intimate relationships I am still surrounded by so many dope people that support my endeavors.
It's really is tough trying to build a life for more than just yourself... because as much as what your doing is for your child/family nothing beats actually being present for them. Today I touch on my journey as a mom!

Stepping into 2023 embracing all the parts of me that I have been holding back on... and hopefully pissin some people off along the way because what good activist wouldn't?
For an introvert... networking has been low key daunting. Its like a muscle tho, as you do it you get better and stronger at it... you just need to be alone afterwards. In my experience its just as much about who you know as it is what you do. In this episode I share a bit about my experience in growing my network, my speaking engagement at One Million Cups and some tips for going to a networking event.
