My musical journey continues with a lot of daily practice thanks to busking. There's a good and a bad side to it, like most things. The good is spending most of the day doing something I like and the bad is that I sometimes get tired and saturated of the songs.
To get out of busking I decided to record something and Blinding Lights felt like the song I was the least bored of so that's why I chose it. Also, I feel very represented by the song at times, considering I spent the last three years in the forest, without any blinding lights.

Hey Hive, all good? Today nothing fancy for me, I'm here at a gas station drinking a beer while I look in the map how to get back to Paraguay. I'm going there to see how the busking goes because I've been playing over and over at the same market and I don't want to bore the shit out of the staff that works there. Gotta give them some time to rest from the same songs hahah.
Life is good overall but I sometimes get caught up in the challenge of how to improve my situation. Things tend to degrade faster than I can keep up with. My clothes keep getting stained, my bagpacks are tearing apart, the strings of the guitar are always getting cut and money starts to run out super fast if give myself the space and time to enjoy other things.
You might think, shouldn't you skip the beer then and save the money? And you are correct. I should. But always doing what you should degrades your mental flexibility, makes you rigid and keeps you in a sour mood that degrades your health.
For now the strategy is just to keep practicing singing and hopefully at some point that will start to invert the situation.

This is my first time posting in the @hiveopenmic community, despite wanting to do so for a long time. Many times I've recorded but I was never happy with the results so I held back, however this time I'm going to just do it, despite the many things I don't like about the recording and certain mistakes I make. I gave it many attempts during the day and in the end this one I liked the most.
The song might not be 100% aligned with the week's theme but it's close enough 😁
At least I can say that my singing practice is starting to give some results. It's been often frustrating and I get tempted to accept the idea that I just won't ever learn. But after today's😀 practice I can finally start hearing some bits here and there that I actually like how I sound. I'm usually very disappointed in my recordings as they sound much better in my head while playing.
There's so much info on the internet on how you should sing and sometimes you'll run into advice that debunks what you had accepted as truth. For example, many teachers say you have to lower the larynx and I was trying so hard to keep it down that it was painful. I recently researched on this and found some coaches saying that a low larynx isn't necessarily the best way, that different styles require different positioning. They also recommended to avoid forcing it down, but rather just avoid it going up in such a way that it creates tension.
Right now I'm practicing using the techniques I've picked up but also just trying to avoid tension overall. Of course, I still forget many things, especially when playing the guitar since that draws quite a bit of my attention. Kudos to all who play guitar and sing at the same time, looks way easier than it is.

After most of my life screaming instead of singing I'm finally beginning to understand the mechanisms of the voice and how to produce sound without irritating my vocal chords. I have a lot to improve and also have to work on relaxing while recording, it's crazy how disfuncional I become with a camera in front. I recorded dozens of times, each one forgetting the lyrics or chords, despite playing this song on the streets hundreds of times. This wasn't my best attempt but it was the only one where my mind didn't go blank while recording and was able to get through the song hahaha. Anyway, I wouldn't really upload it if it weren't for the fact that I've been telling myself to not be so perfectionistic and just share my singing journey, because there has been so much progress and no registry of it since I always have to delete stuff from the phone to get memory. I'm hoping today will be an awesome day. There's not much to expect from the outside world but I can work from there inside to achieve a better outlook on life. I think placing special attention on my energy and accepting shadows will be key. I am going through many changes, my worldview is both melting and being rebuilt, so I must have patience with the process.
I had written that early in the morning with the hope to bring it into reality.
By the middle of the day I felt things weren't going so great so I wrote:
Maybe I shouldn't write? Things seem to go the other way around and I've been extra careless with everything. On the bright side I've enjoyed doing a lot of karaoke to keep practicing those vocals. It's been a big challenge as I don't have a drop of natural singing talent and if I ever get to sing well it will be through blood and tears.
After that moment of disappointments in myself I became focused again and the day did actually feel awesome, especially all the music practice. I'm not ready to share with you any singing yet, not until I feel better about my recordings, but I will share this instrumental improv that filled me with pleasant energies. Some time ago I made a video playing the guitar but used an image where a michi was near the fire as a cover photo. This caused the disappointment of @calendulacraft as she had expected to see michis and fire in the video so I said I'd make up for it and got to taking some shots of michis and fire.
Of course, one thing is to record videos and another up put them together into something that makes a bit of sense. I begin editing a bit and wanted to add some original music of mine and that's where I got stuck because with my limited gear I just couldn't make a recording I was satisfied with.
Today, after months of having this material laying about, I listened to the music again and found it wasn't all that bad, that I was being too perfectionist, and that I should finish the video once and for all as I want to release memory on my phone hehe.
The video also includes images from the house in the forest and the garden, though before leaving a lot had changed, but still, time to post this and let go :)

I've been thinking about how I want to interact with the online world, to re-enchant myself and hopefully others. I don't like having a routine, I need to be creative.
He estado pensando en cómo quiero interactuar con el mundo virtual, para reencantarme a mí mismo y espero que a los demás. No me gusta simplemente seguir una rutina, necesito creatividad.
Music is an option I'm liking more and more as it motivates me to practice and also it is a lot of fun. The bad part is how messy it is to upload more complex content when you have a shitty internet connection and an old phone. I mean, I enjoy so much the creation process but then I really want to bury the axe deep into the phone when I'm trying to make final adjustments and get the work uploaded.
La música es una opción que cada vez me gusta más ya que me motiva a practicar y además es harta diversión. Lo malo es lo lioso que es subir contenidos más complejos cuando tienes una conexión a internet de mierda y un teléfono viejo. Es decir, disfruto mucho del proceso de creación pero luego me dan muchas ganas de enterrar el hacha profundamente en el teléfono cuando estoy intentando hacer los ajustes finales y subir el trabajo.
Oh well, such is life with it's goodies and badies, gotta navigate as smooth as possible. I'll have to learn to be patient with the internet, though it's funny because I grew up having to wait a whole hour to see one image so I don't know when I begin to be so demanding 😜

Hola Hive, hoy les comparto una nueva improvisación o más bien algo que pretendo transformar en una canción más armada ya que me gustó la melodía como la letra que surgió en el momento.

Por ahora hice un video con la letra y aunque la canción era más larga solo rescaté el fragmento que realmente me gustó para así poder practicarlo y llevarlo más allá.
For now I made this video with the lyrics though the song was longer I just rescued the fragment that I really liked so that I could practice it and karaoke mode and take it further.
No voy a hacer ningún misterio sobre lo que se trata esta canción... Es sobre la adicción y aunque muchas personas no se dan cuenta, todos somos adictos a algo. Algunas personas son adictas a cosas que son estigmatizadas socialmente pero otras tienen adicciones más sutiles que no son visibles a primera vista.
I'm not going to make a mystery about what this song is about... it's about addiction and though many people don't realize it we're all addicted to something, some people are addicted to things that are stigmatized socially but others have more subtle addictions that are not visible at first sight.

Hola buenas aquí Les traigo otra improvisación musical. Improvisar música es una de las cosas que más placer me da hacer en la vida aunque todavía me falta mucho por practicar el canto para que me pueda mantener afinado mientras voy descubriendo el ritmo en la guitarra y canalizando la letra al mismo tiempo.
Hey there I bring you another musical improv. Improvising music is one of the things that most pleasure gives me in life though I still have to practice a lot of singing so that I can keep in tune well discovering the rhythm of the guitar and channeling the lyrics at the same time.
Aunque el producto final no sea de la mayor calidad, el momento y la energía que se registran son algo que no volverán a repetirse y creo que por ahí deben haber unas cuantas personas que son capaces de apreciar esa vibración.
Though the final product may not be the highest quality the moment and the energy recorded or something that will not repeat itself and I think there must be a few people who are able to appreciate these vibrations.
En mi último post en el cual también hizo una improvisación recibí la menor votación que he recibido en mucho tiempo. Surge la tentación de crear contenido pensado para que pueda ser apreciado y validado por la comunidad. Pero al mismo tiempo tengo un fuerte deseo de ser libre de que me deje de importar completamente esta m* de realidad virtual, de cumplir con el dicho de que es mejor morir de pie que vivir de rodillas. Y mejor aún, de cumplir con mi propósito de vivir en un estado de creatividad.
On my last post which was also an improv I received the smallest votes I've received in quite a while. I get tempted to create content that is thought so that it can be appreciated and validated by the community. At the same time I have a strong desire to be free and to completely stop carrying a s*** about this virtual reality, to live by the idea that it's better to die on your feet than live on your knees. And better yet, to fulfill my purpose of living in a state of creativity.

Hey Hivers, here's some moments I am happy to share. At the beginning of the video I make a primitive tool that helped me make a fire pit so that we could cook on a little trip my loved one and I went on. It's a vertebrate from an animal and a quila branch, which did the trick as just doing this with a stick was very inefficient.

Hey Hive, been disappearing again from here. I still want to share things here and be a part of everything this represents but I also don't feel like spending much time on a screen creating content. So what I've come up with is making short videos about what I'm doing during the day. That way I don't spend too much time on the screen and neither do you (at least on my content hehe).
This is a different approach since I know you Hivers like to see well polished content with effort put into it, but wait, I have something fun to offer. As of now you can ask me anything in the comment section and I will reply you with a video! When I say anything, I mean regarding living in the forest, my workarounds to staying off grid or even of philosophical nature. You can even ask me what I'm doing at the moment and I will make a video like this one to update you.
Today I made a little firepit to be closer to the area where I'm doing my main garden. Hi there Hivers, just dabbling into video making a bit I took some shots of the shelter today and mixes them up with music. Unfortunately I have an old iPhone with little memory and a shitty battery so I ran out of power and space before I got all the shots I wanted. Still it was fun to do and play around with the tools available for iOS. I'll be making more videos soon with proper lighting, hope you enjoy this one though!
Most of the stuff here is either recycled or comes directly from the forest. I have built this single-handedly for the main part and without power tools. I hope to survive the winter and start nicely improving my homestead in spring. Meanwhile I'll be blogging, making music, meditating, and hibernating.

I was playing the coach character in front of the camera and wanted to give out some truth pills but I edited after smoking a blunt and just found myself to be a ridiculous fool imitating words that were not my own. Instead, I found it fun to play with different effects and develop a bit of editing skills while at it. I used Kdenlive, a Linux video editor which has a lot of options so I entertained myself trying them out.

Just a few thoughts on something I have been working on. We all want to feel constantly comfortable (spiritually, mentally or physically) but Life loves to throw some curveballs every now and then.
Spiritually we travel through all emotions and states of consciousness and not all of them are pleasant.
Intellectually we tend to get invaded by undesired thoughts, traumas, fears, and anxieties.
Physically we get hurt, find our bodies don't feel or behave as we expect them to, and have to deal with aging and sickness,
However, I feel that when you tolerate the presence of discomfort it tends to go away very fast. It seems discomfort requires of you to struggle against it so that it can exist. Once you stop the struggle it is easy to remember that this is just a dream and that you are free to do as you wish with it.

Well, here's me, lol. Whatever that means. Have been writing many posts this week but haven't been able to finish them. There's something off with my concentration circuit. Anyway, I was a bit high and wanted to talk my brains out. It's all for fun, if something resonates with you cool. If something seems like shit, cool too. But don't forget: "Life is a Lie".
Starting to love making videos because I can watch them afterward and learn so much about what I call "myself". I can watch me and observe my judgments, expressions and energies projected in a way that is very different from writing where I edit a lot. Will definitely be doing this more often and keep learning.
