Good morning Lefkadians!
Today we want to talk about Recycling in Lefkada and the work Lefkogaia is doing to implant a good recycling culture in the island. To know more about them and their activities we interviewed Tia Bley, local artist and collaborator of Lefkogaia, to tell us more about the artistic and education activities they are doing for children in Lefkada to give second uses to recycled materials.

Today we want to tell you about Pierre Fayet and his laughing therapy. Pierre Fayet is a renowned rigologue who graduated from both the Laughter Yoga University and the International School of Laughter and Happiness. He paid us a visit to Solidarity Tracks and showed us the “Laughing without Reason” technique, so we could experience first-hand how a laughing therapy session look like. We had a lot of fun and learn a lot from him, and we wanted to share with you the impressions our volunteers had about this technique. Check it out!

This Friday and Saturday 28-29th of April we Orange RadioNet, together with the whole Solidarity Tracks Organization, will participate in the Spring Festival organized at Marka Square, Lefkada.
Solidarity Tracks has prepared plenty of activities and workshops to do during these two days for children and adults, from 10 in the morning until the party ends at night.

Today, Agnieszka, Verònica and myself will talk about politics and how to be active citizens by exercising our rights and duties in the local political realm. Today we want to talk about a Traditional Ceramics Workshop we hosted in Solidarity Tracks this April. Orange RadioNet interviewed some of the participants on their opinions about this experience and later sit down to have a talk with our instructor, Greek traditional potter and Youth Mentor Eleni Karapanagiotou, whose family own a Traditional Pottery in Thassos Island, and who was gracious enough to teach us about ceramics and much more. Orange RadioNet invites you to the first Future Active Citizens Contest!
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The three ingredients young people need to become future active citizens:
• LEADERSHIP. We are looking for influencers, people with a strong sense of local identity and the energy to put things in motion and bring change into their communities.
• IMAGINATION. We are looking for curious youth with creative ideas on how to make a positive impact on a subject they are passionate about, and on how to better contribute to their communities and resident associations.
• CHARACTER. We are looking for contestants with a good attitude towards change and innovation and a sense of awareness towards fairness, collective rights and responsibilities and social justice.
HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST?
A. If you are between 15 and 30 years old, ou can enter the contest individually or as a group of maximum 4 people. We want to hear your take on Active citizenship. What is an Active citizen to you? What experiences do you have with Active Citizenship? Are you planning a new action to make a positive change in your community? Tell us more! We want to hear what you think and all about your actions to become a future active citizen! ;)
B. Send us an Audio File of your creation in MP3 Format to the following email address: Solidaritytracksgr@gmail.com. You can record yourselves with a recorder or smartphone or with your computer using the free Audacity software (http://audacity.sourceforge.net). The podcast should be no longer that 5 minutes, with a maximum file size of 4MB. It should be recorded in English or Greek language. Be sure to include your names in the recording file and on the email subject.
FINAL GUIDELINES
A. Contest Dates: You can send us your submissions from the 15th of March until the 15th of May 2017.
B. Winner Announcement: On May 22nd we will announce the winner on our Facebook page. The winner(s) of the contest will be awarded for being the most creative, innovative and critical thinkers of all the participants, based on the contents and the social impact of their original audio submissions.

EVS+SVE training course has arrived to the last stage. The courses are ready and the mentors too, so the next step is to put all the new knowledges in practice!

- Visiting our eco-home & explaining to the kids the stages of building.
- Workshop for building miniature houses using natural materials (clay, sand, straw, bamboo)

Last week in the camping near Agios Nikitas took place one youth exchange with the topic E-COOKING: taste the social inclusion and Entrepreneurship.
35 participants from Spain, Greece, Austria, Poland and France gather together to cook and discuss about gastronomical culture and ways of inclusion of deaf people in order to build up successful relations between them and hearing people.
130 kids from Lefkada are taking part in the summer school. Besides their activities they are also attending workshops held by EVS volunteers of Solidarity Tracks. They play Outdoor games, watch video projections and organize radio and sustainable development workshops.
We went to the streets of Lefkada and asked people about how they see the Greek situation according to the referendum on next Sunday.
They spoke about the pressure of mass media, the lack of information and their personal points of view about this important day.

Summer School in Lefkada. Volunteers from Solidarity Tracks are involved. How? Listen to and find out!
The participants in the EVS+SVE training course developed in Lefkada between 9 and 20 of June told us their impressions about this experience and the expectations for the next stages of the project!
Do you know what is EVS? Do you know what EVS mentors do? During ten days, Lefkada has hosted a Training Course where more than 30 participants from 11 different countries got formation for becoming the first generation of e-mentors in the European Union!

EVS Sustainable entrepreneurship Values through E-learning is the title of the Multi Measure Project organized by Solidarity Tracks. The first mobility gathered together in Lefkada 35 participants from 11 countries with the purpose to create online trainings for EVS volunteers. 10 groups chose different topics to make on line educational trainings.
The first mobility in the frame of the Multi Measure Project - EVS Sustainable entrepreneurship Values through E-learning organized by Solidarity Tracks is taking place in Lefkada as a training course for Youth workers and ex EVS volunteers. The 35 participants from 11 countries gathered with the purpose to create online education sessions for EVS volunteers.

Orbán Róbert-Csaba and Sipos Emőke from Romania will spend one year in Lefkada, Greece as EVS volunteers at Solidarity Tracks.
A lot of people are dreaming to travel and try new things. If you like to discover new lands you might be in the category of people who also enjoy learning new languages. Today will try to motivate you to learn a new language.
Orange RadioNet team was in Faneromeni Monastery to get approach to the Holy Spirit celebration. Once there, we also enjoy the bazaar celebrated around this fest. Listen our experience there, and know some of the people who participated.
We spoke with Manuel Díaz and Eleonore Gardel, staff and volunteer in the Elderly Care Center of Lefkada, and they told us about the activities they have prepared for this weekend in the frame of the Holy Spirit Day Celebration, that will take place next Monday, June 1st.
