Good morning Lefkadians!
Today we want to talk about Recycling in Lefkada and the work Lefkogaia is doing to implant a good recycling culture in the island. To know more about them and their activities we interviewed Tia Bley, local artist and collaborator of Lefkogaia, to tell us more about the artistic and education activities they are doing for children in Lefkada to give second uses to recycled materials.

Today we want to tell you about Pierre Fayet and his laughing therapy. Pierre Fayet is a renowned rigologue who graduated from both the Laughter Yoga University and the International School of Laughter and Happiness. He paid us a visit to Solidarity Tracks and showed us the “Laughing without Reason” technique, so we could experience first-hand how a laughing therapy session look like. We had a lot of fun and learn a lot from him, and we wanted to share with you the impressions our volunteers had about this technique. Check it out!

Today we want to talk about a Traditional Ceramics Workshop we hosted in Solidarity Tracks this April. Orange RadioNet invites you to the first Future Active Citizens Contest!

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The three ingredients young people need to become future active citizens:
• LEADERSHIP. We are looking for influencers, people with a strong sense of local identity and the energy to put things in motion and bring change into their communities.
• IMAGINATION. We are looking for curious youth with creative ideas on how to make a positive impact on a subject they are passionate about, and on how to better contribute to their communities and resident associations.
• CHARACTER. We are looking for contestants with a good attitude towards change and innovation and a sense of awareness towards fairness, collective rights and responsibilities and social justice.

HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST?
A. If you are between 15 and 30 years old, ou can enter the contest individually or as a group of maximum 4 people. We want to hear your take on Active citizenship. What is an Active citizen to you? What experiences do you have with Active Citizenship? Are you planning a new action to make a positive change in your community? Tell us more! We want to hear what you think and all about your actions to become a future active citizen! ;)
B. Send us an Audio File of your creation in MP3 Format to the following email address: Solidaritytracksgr@gmail.com. You can record yourselves with a recorder or smartphone or with your computer using the free Audacity software (http://audacity.sourceforge.net). The podcast should be no longer that 5 minutes, with a maximum file size of 4MB. It should be recorded in English or Greek language. Be sure to include your names in the recording file and on the email subject.

FINAL GUIDELINES
A. Contest Dates: You can send us your submissions from the 15th of March until the 15th of May 2017.
B. Winner Announcement: On May 22nd we will announce the winner on our Facebook page. The winner(s) of the contest will be awarded for being the most creative, innovative and critical thinkers of all the participants, based on the contents and the social impact of their original audio submissions.

Last week in the camping near Agios Nikitas took place one youth exchange with the topic E-COOKING: taste the social inclusion and Entrepreneurship.
35 participants from Spain, Greece, Austria, Poland and France gather together to cook and discuss about gastronomical culture and ways of inclusion of deaf people in order to build up successful relations between them and hearing people.

130 kids from Lefkada are taking part in the summer school. Besides their activities they are also attending workshops held by EVS volunteers of Solidarity Tracks. They play Outdoor games, watch video projections and organize radio and sustainable development workshops.

EVS Sustainable entrepreneurship Values through E-learning is the title of the Multi Measure Project organized by Solidarity Tracks. The first mobility gathered together in Lefkada 35 participants from 11 countries with the purpose to create online trainings for EVS volunteers. 10 groups chose different topics to make on line educational trainings.

One of the fastest races and most important athletic events in the Ionian islands, the 5th Green Half Marathon in Lefkada took place yesterday. The route included the Lagoon of Lefkada, which is protected by the Natura Treaty
