In our workplaces, we have a tremendous opportunity to represent Christ and live for His glory. The Bible tells us that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13, 14).
Today, we are constantly looking for excuses to indulge in what the world permits. To overcome the spiritual coldness in our world today, we need to remain in tune with God. We need to keep our minds and hearts alive to His guidance and direction – through saturating our hearts with His word and spending time in His presence.

Sometimes the devil tries to scare us. But we know he is a joke. Jesus already conquered him on the cross of Calvary. We have been given victory over the devil.

The quest for personal transformation is a good one but we might need to reflect on how best we can attain it. The Bible encourages us to “… seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

When a conscience is alive, the offender is humble, quick to admit a fault and ask for forgiveness. But when it is dead, there’s no realization of a wrongdoing. The Bible describes it as “having their own conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:2).

While we cannot exactly explain the mystery of salvation, we can live in its reality when we believe that Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to restore us back into sweet fellowship with God, the Father.

Our natural instinct when we sin is to hide (like Adam and Eve) or cover up and move on like nothing happened (like King David). But when we hold on to the guilt, shame, pain, and agony of unconfessed sin, we get farther away from God and deprive ourselves of the joy of forgiveness.

Hearing God speak should be our daily pursuit. Knowing God’s will on every issue will help us overcome confusion and deception. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth… (John 16:13).

Sometimes, we have a need and pray to God, expecting an answer. Sometimes, the answers don’t come as soon as we would want them. But we can be sure that God is working out things for our good. His promises can be trusted. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”, Romans 8:28.

Sometimes, we find that we are guilty of sin and wonder if we can ever receive forgiveness. Of course, yes! God is waiting to forgive us if only we ask Him. The blood of Jesus is able to wash us.

Are you getting tired of running the Christian race? Be encouraged! Do not quit! Do not give up! You are not alone. The presence of God is with you. Deuteronomy 31:6 says “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you”.

As believers, we have to constantly fill up our hearts with the word of God in order to keep sin out. “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You” (Psalms 119:11).

We need to constantly read, meditate, and believe the Scripture to experience the power in the word. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

Did you know that ‘the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe’ (Proverbs 18:10)?
Who is Jesus to you? What does His name mean to you? Have you called on Him lately?
Remember, He asked us to ‘call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know’ (Jeremiah 33:3).

Good intentions cannot deal with the root of this struggle. The root is sin, and only the power in the blood of Jesus is strong enough to deal with it (1 John 1:7). “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us” (1 John 1:9, 10).
