This is Week Six of Church at Home and Tom Chapman-Smith will lead us through Matthew 17:14-20(21). There will be times to pause the recording (whenever there are questions) for discussion with those you are with and these questions are written in the description below. There is also a time of Communion in the second part of this message.

Question 1.

Read Hebrews 4:16 and take some time now to discuss what it would mean to come to God with an approach true of this passage.

“Therefore, let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].” - Hebrews 4:16 AMP

Question 2.

The Bible calls us to: "Prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish in the midst of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness]," - Philippians 2:15 AMP

In response to what has been shared, discuss the content of this verse and what it would look like if we lived our lives accordingly? Feel free to use examples true of your own life.

Communion

As we remember this morning, take time to reflect on the promises we have in the bible. If you are comfortable doing so, speak these out loud or share testimony of His work in your lives.

As we proclaim the gospel this morning, take time to consider just how good the Good News is that we have a loving Saviour! If you are comfortable doing so, speak out words of thanksgiving and praise.

As we anticipate the return of Jesus, take time to humble yourself before God. If you are comfortable doing so, kneel down and bring your whole heart before God – all of your good and all of your bad. Seek His forgiveness and seek His holiness in preparation for His return.

As we discern – take time to pray for the Church, locally and internationally.

As we move into a time where we are gathering together in small groups to do Church at Home, we are starting a new approach to our teaching. This is Week One and Tom Chapman-Smith will lead us through 1 Corinthians 11:23-34 where Paul addresses an issue in the church of Corinth that looks to divide believers. He address this by bringing their attention to the beautiful sacrament of Communion. There will be times to pause the recording (whenever there are questions) for discussion with those you are with. Toward the end Tom will give instruction guiding you through partaking of Communion with those you are with. If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, it is recommended you seriously consider the weight of that decision before taking Communion. Communion is all about remembering what Jesus has done in rescuing us; proclaiming His death and resurrection; anticipating His return; being part of a community of people who believe and declare that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Saviour. If these statements are not true for you yet but you would like them to be, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would love to answer any questions you may have. This message unpacks those statements.

It was an absolute privilege to have Alan Davey share with us his 'Living Well' seminar. This is a MUST LISTEN for all.

What hurts more - a broken arm or a broken heart?

When Jesus began His ministry, He read from Isaiah 61:1 where it says, The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.

This scripture is not referring to a physical heart or prison or darkness but that of our ‘soul’. Finding healing and freedom here is essential for it is in this place that all life stems.

No one gets through life let alone our childhood without being impacted by the pain that come from unmet needs unhealed hurts and unresolved issues and the like. These ‘wounds’ can and do have a profound effect on our lives.

In this brief seminar Alan gives proven tools skills and insights in how to pursue and achieve deep and lasting healing in these areas.

Join Richard as he leads us through our Night Service series called 'Grasping the Bible's Big Picture.'

We walk through this series with a desire to grow in our knowledge of the bible and to strengthen our foundations. Over the next few weeks, we will walk our way through the Bible looking at the 'Big Picture' and God's beautiful plan.

These services are interactive and some of the audio may be difficult to hear. We try to share the microphone around so everything is heard. Please feel free to contact Richard at richard@morrinsvillebaptist.com if you would like the questions and slides.

Join us as we walk through a series of teachings in the Gospel of Matthew. This week Greg Smith continues our teaching from Matthew 6:16-24 asking the question, where is your treasure?

Unfortunately there were some technical difficulties and the recording is not the best quality, also the last couple of minutes were not recorded. Below are Greg's concluding comments from where the recording stops.

"Anyway regardless of whether you agree with my theology or not I think I am on safe ground to say that Jesus is using an emphatic word when He puts the choice before us.Perhaps today we recognise this concept better as materialism and consumerism. Serve God or serve this worlds system that deifies worldly wealth is Jesus challenge. One offers instant gratification but is only fleeting and temporary. The other is permanent and eternal. Which path have you chosen? And on that cheerful note I finish."
