Sucheta Chaurasia
Written by Faiz Ludhianvi, Ae Naye Saal is a thoughtful nazm written in a 'unique way' (as says the poet himself). Contrary to its tonality, the nazm is not pessimistic but would defintely make you think, in a 'unique' way, what newness does a new year bring after all.
Invictus(1875), written by William Ernest Henley, is a short Victorian poem. Henley wrote the poem as a self-reminder to overcome his physical ailments but in doing so left behind an immortal anthem for the ones with an 'unconquered' spirit.
