In this Episode we continue to look at God's word where even though people think they serve God, God will accuse them of denying Christ. The problem is their confession isn't aligned with the full Truth of God's Word and message. God points out those who deny Christ, but many people don't understand the accusation against those who are actually denying Christ. The reason why they don't understand, is because they don't understand the message being communicated in the book of 2 Peter. It is many of those who are in the church thinking they are Christians that God will accuse of denying Him and blaspheming His Truth.

In this second episode on Redemption, we will look at who are the servants of God that will receive of God's REDEMTPION. We will look at a passage in the OT that is repeated in the NT quoted by Peter in describing the True Grace of God that we are to stand firm in. We will also look at an example of King David.

In this first episode on REDEMPTION, we will look at how God Redeems His people. Not what man says, Not what man hopes, but in demonstration of what and how God has already done to demonstrate how His Redemption works.

In this first episode on Redemption, we will look at the example of Israel. You may be surprised that even though God redeemed someone, that he subsequently kindles His wrath on the very one he redeemed. Why? Listen and find out.

In this Episode we continue to look at God's word where even though people think they serve God, God will accuse them of denying Christ. We will start in the book of Jude where God discusses a people who God says DENY Christ, yet they are IN THE CHURCH and are UNNOTICED. The true church is commanded to contend earnestly for the faith as a result. The problem is SIN. God gives several examples. One of those examples is the rebellion of Korah (Numbers ch16), a people who claimed to be servants of God, who did His will, a Holy people; yet God disagreed and destroyed them. It is the same with His chosen people Isreal, WHY? Because they couldn't walk in obedience. These are the people who are accused of denying Christ.

In this episode we look at another example where God discusses putting on Christ in the Book of Romans chapter 13. We will also look at what God says about how this person should be living.

In this episode we will continue to look at examples in God's word about what it means to "put on Christ." We examine what God says in the book of Colossians. What examples does God give, how does God explain what happens, and what it should look like in our life. There are also warnings about being decieved.

In this episode we will discuss why so many confess God but yet God will say, "You DENY me." Passages covered include: Titus 1:15-16, Ch1, 2, 3; 1 Peter Ch 1, 2, 3, 4; John 8:31-34; Matthew 7:13-23; 1 John 1:5-7 and 3:3-9; Rev 19:7-8 and Ch 22:11-12.

In this episode we will look at what it means to put on Christ. God wants us to put on Christ, many people think they have, but have they truly? Are you truly God's workman, walking in the good works that He prepared for you to walk in? Are you truly in the light? Find out if your faith and understanding are in harmony with God's Word.

In this final episode on God's Refining Fire, we will look at New Testament passages on how God's will us His fire. You will notice the theme is consistent with all of the previous episodes. God is a compassionate God that calls us to repentance. But if we don't come to repentance under God's terms, then His fire will consume. This includes those who reject God as well as those who confessed Jesus, believed, were sanctified by the Holy Spirit; but yet if you do not meet God's terms, then He will consume and destroy with Fire, just as He did with Israel. God doesn't change.

Description: In this episode we will continue to look at the Promise of the Holy Spirit. We will look the 2nd half of the NT books and where God discusses promises to the saints. Description: In this episode we will look at the Promise of the Holy Spirit. Many people know of promise and prophesies of Jesus Christ from the OT, because they are typically taught in the church. But when you ask about the Promise of the Holy Spirit and where the promises or prophesies are recorded and taught in the OT scriptures, you will get blank stares. Why is it that many do not know where these promises or prophesies are located? In this episode we explore God's word and look at the different promises that we find in the NT passages with emphasis on the promise of the Holy Spirit which is really what fulfills the "gospel message".

In this episode we will start in the book of Deuteronomy and look at what repentance looks like as God describes the greatest commandment. To love God with all our heart, soul, and strength. We will see that it is more about our desire, but about our ability to be a doer. However, it is not about our effort trying; but whether or not we are loving God with the new heart He has given us, and the power He has given us by His Spirit. Without the new heart and spirit that God gives, we cannot obey the greatest commandment. We cannot have peace with God, but will be like Israel. Trying to please God, but having no power to to keep His commandments and do His will.

In this episode we look at the repentance that leads to life as God speaks in the book of Isaiah. God wants to make your sins as white as snow and wool, but there are conditions. God prophesies of the redemption through his son Jesus. God also rebukes the people who continue to think they have peace with God because they seek God daily, delight in God's ways, think they are a people of righteousness, they do not forsake God, they ask God for just decisions, delight in God's nearness, that fast to God, they say they have humbled themselves. The problem is God points out the sin still in their life. The people even confess their sin and humbly admit that their righteous deeds are as filthy rags. In the end, God says He will kill this people and slay them. Why? Because they didn't come in the truth of God and the repentance that God requires.

In this episode we will continue to look at repentance as God defines through examples in the book of Jeremiah. Jeremiah ch 31 is where the "new covenant" is referenced which is the new covenant in Christ discussed in the book of Hebrews. The problem with the people is they did not enter into the repentance that God requires. A repentance that can only be achieved through the new heart. The people acknowledged their sin before God, but they couldn't stop. They had a sin cycle in their life. So because they didn't accept the true words of God from the true prophets, but they continued to listen to the false prophets; God destroys the nation.

In this episode we continue to look at examples of what God uses to help us define and know true repentance. Looking at the book of Ezekiel, God tells us he doesn't desire the death of anyone. Instead God desires that all repent and live. So what does God mean by "repent." Well the good news is we have many examples and teachings by God in the book of Ezekiel. God also reminds us what we must have to be able to come into the true repentance which is to "practice righteousness and justice" to turn from sin and now be able to walk in God's ways. We must receive of the new heart and spirit that God wants to give. Until this happens it isn't possible to come to the repentance God desires which then leads to life.

In this episode we continue to look through examples of what God's repentance looks like by examining additional books of the New Testament. As we look at God's word, we continue to see examples and applications of what type of repentance God accepts. God accepts a repentance for the forgiveness of sins, which is a true repentance as a result of a true faith which results in the power of God changing a person's heart or conscience to free them from sin in their thoughts and resulting outward behavior. We will also see the warnings and examples of those who are still a slave to sin and have now experienced the power of God which results in a true repentance from the heart with the resultant outward change in behavior.

In this episode we will look at the gospels and how repentance is used. Did you know that repentance is required for the forgiveness of sins? We will look at examples of what God says about repentance and our lives with respect to sin. Is it okay to continue to struggle and confess our sins everyday?

This is the first of 6 episodes on looking at repentance. God requires repentance and many would agree, the problem is many don't understand how God defines repentance. In this first part we will look at an overview of why God requires repentance. The problem is because God is a holy God and is against those who continue in sin. God wants to change us. We will look at passages in the OT and NT looking at who God is against. We cannot continue to live a life of struggle against sin, but need to receive of the grace of God through faith so that we can overcome.

In this episode we will look at passages in scripture that give us detailed insight into when the rapture or our gathering to Christ will occur. Unfortunately there are a lot of misunderstandings and false teachings regarding "no one knows the day or hour", will come as "a thief", and others. We will examine those passages and show clearly in scripture where most teachers are proclaiming false teachings as well as proclaiming condemnation on their own head and testifying they are sons of darkness and not light with some of their claims. God's word will clearly expose their errors. I praise God he opened my eyes to His truth, I used to teach and claim many of the same errors as well. We will examine passages which discuss the following topics:

The second coming of Christ and how he will appear
What will happen to those who are dead and those still living
The change to our bodies to immortality
The difference between the coming of Christ and the day heaven and earth pass away
When death and hades are destroyed
What it means when Jesus comes as a thief in the night; spoiler, he only comes as a thief in the night to the wicked and those in darkness, not the son's of light
The timing and specific events which must happen before Jesus comes returns at his second coming

In this episode we will look at what happens when you die. Many believe and are aware of the resurrection of our bodies at the end of the age, but what happens between the earthly death and the resurrection? We will look at passages from both the old and new testament that explains what happens. As it turns out, God's word tells us the righteous and the wicked go to the same place, it is Sheol or Hades. There the righteous rest or sleep until the end when they will rise from the dead and be united with the messiah our Lord Jesus Christ. We will look at examples of Jacob, David, Daniel, Samuel and other writings about saints in general as well as the wicked. We will also explore a few passages which are improperly taken out of context and has led to a lot of false doctrine. One of those passages is the discussion between Jesus and the thief on the cross.

Many people have a false understanding of the "New Covenant" because they are being taught by man's wisdom and not God's word. In this episode we will start in the the book of Hebrews in the new testament where God introduces the New Covenant that we have in Jesus Christ, the one that Jesus mediates. Much of the passages referring to this New Covenant come from Jeremiah chapter 31. We will then go look at the book of Jeremiah as God explains and reinforces the problem with the old covenant that was discussed in the book of Hebrews.

In this episode we will look at the book of Hosea and the conditions on God's judgement and compassion. Unfortunately most people who I have discussed the book of Hosea with have a false understanding because they are being taught incorrectly and not understanding the full book. God alternates between His judgements and destruction of the current nation because of their sin, these people are going to lose their life. He then discusses the FUTURE compassion that He will have on the nation at the end when they finally come to repentance. God purposely spares a remnant so that there will be a people to come to repentance in the Future. This is a consistent message God give by His prophets in both the old and new testament books of the bible.

In this episode we will look at what is means to be "sealed with the Holy Spirit." When you examine the most common passage referenced in Ephesians 1:13-14, being sealed with the Holy Spirit is coupled with it being a pledge or deposit until the redemption of our body. As we continue to examine scripture we find out the redemption of our body doesn't happen until the second coming of Christ. The question is whether or not we endure to the end to receive this "hope of salvation".

In this episode we will look at Jonah, a prophet of God. Many people have heard the story, but there are key points of information that get overlooked. First, just because a person is a prophet of God doesn't mean they continued in favor with God or that they had a good heart. We will see this as we examine the book of Jonah as well as looking at the prophet of Balaam.

In this final episode on prayer we will look at instructions on how we are to be devoted to prayer. There are many examples how we are to be praying for the rest of the saints. Both to persevere in trails as well as in furthering the the faith and proclaiming the gospel. Even Paul asked for prayer so that words would be given to him to speak the gospel.

To receive of the New Heart and Spirit God wants to give us is most important for us to be born again and receive adoption as sons. First you must understanding and accept the Truth, do you believe that you are to receive of the same fullness as Jesus, and to then have power to walk and live as Jesus doing the will of the Father? If yes, there may be other barriers preventing you from receiving the promise of the Holy Spirit. God requires you to be willing to lose your life, to deny self and to pick up your cross. When God changes us, our desires change. If we don't understand the cost, this might be a reason why you have prayed and received nothing. Barriers and themes God communicates that we will cover in this episode are: Must deny self and be willing to lose your life, must ask in faith without doubting, be willing to give up the possessions of the world, be willing to give up relationships (including family) that are still in darkness, be willing to give up the things of the world.

In this episode we will look at different prayer examples of David, Daniel, Solomon and Nehemiah. Not surprisingly, we will see different aspects of the previous 3 prayer episodes appear in the prayers of these men. It all starts with the changed heart by the holy spirit, followed by the results of a changed heart which is obedience to the voice of God. Are we able to walk in righteousness and in the ways of God? If not, God is going to be against you. In everything we give God glory and praise, because blessings come from Him.

In this episode we will look at one reason why prayers are not answered. We will start in 1 Peter and then look at Israel as an example. A people who were worshiping God, yet He rejected their worship and their prayers. It is like many today who sincerely believe they serve God. Why did He reject their prayers, because they still continued with sin in their life.

In this episode we will look at God's word regarding asking and receiving. God wants us to ask, and He wants to give. The first thank we must ask for is the Holy Spirit (see 1 of 6). Once we have received the Holy Spirit we are able to do the will of God. To keep His commandments and do the things pleasing in His sight. Just as Jesus, the Son of God, also did the will of his Father. We will start off by looking at the example of Jesus and then what God's word says about how we are to receive when we ask God.

In this episode we will look at the most important prayer not being prayed. Many people pray to God, and many have asked Jesus to "come into their heart." But sadly, many don't know what this means or what God wants to do to their heart. We will start by examining the Lord's Prayer and looking what Jesus actually told the disciples what they are to be asking for in Luke chapter 11. We will then look at a few other examples of those who had believed in Jesus, and had even been baptized in the name of Jesus; but sadly still had not yet received the Holy Spirit. We must ask, in faith, believing in the TRUTH, and without doubting. Until we receive the Holy Spirit we will struggling in the fight against sin, always continuing to lose the war in the flesh because there is a lack of power, even though many strive with great effort. The work of God has no reliance on the power of man.

In this episode we will look at what Gods says about suffering. Many people in the world today suffer through many different trials. But are Christians supposed to suffer in this world as well? People agree Jesus had to suffer, and to suffer in ways unimaginable. As we look at scripture, we will start by reviewing a few passages confirming the sufferings of Christ, but then will look at some passages many don't know exist. Specifically regarding if you aren't suffering with the same purpose as Christ, then you are not standing in the TRUE Grace of God. God actually defines being in His grace as suffering like Christ, but not committing sin. Sounds impossible? Well remember, Jesus said what is impossible with man is possible with God. Listen to the repeated commands of God that we must suffer like Christ. You might also be surprised to find out that most of the suffering True Christians will experience comes from the very people who claim to be serving God. God's word even says you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven but through suffering and tribulations. But itsn't just about suffering, it is whether or not you are able to endure and persevere through suffering. Is is this ability to overcome temptations and sin which demonstrates that we have a "proof of faith".

In this episode we are going to look specifically at being an "infant." The word is used several times in the bible and many churches across the world believe and teach that being an "infant in Christ" means they have been born again and have received the Holy Spirit of God. Most people also identify with the "infant" as discussed in the bible, and are not being taught the full context of what God is communicating in His work that, in reality, these people are still slaves of the world.

There are a few passages that use the word "infant" in a context which you would want to identify. However, there are many where "infant" is used in the context of the person who does not have Spirit of God and has NOT been added to the body of Christ. What makes it more difficult is many translations do not consistently translate the word as "infant." The word we will be looking at today is "Nepios" Strongs concordance #3516, an adjective.

The other word we are going to look at is the use "milk." This is also misunderstood.

In this final episode on temptation we will tie in what was initially discussed in the Part 1 episode regarding if we have a "proof" of faith. The person who is able to overcome and endure temptations. In this episode we will look at scripture that reinforces what it means to to have a proof of faith, someone who is proving the will of God in their life. We are commanded in God's word to test ourselves to see whether or not Christ is even in us. This command was given to a church.

In this episode we will look at the example and danger of testing God. What does it mean to test or tempt God? Most people who claim to believe in God would say they don't test or tempt God. However, what does God say it means to test or tempt Him? We will start with the example in the OT looking at Israel. This ends up being our example, written down for our instruction, so we don't follow the same example of disobedience. This is really important for us to understand.

In this series we will perform 4 episodes on "Temptation" or "Testing". The first episode we will provide an overview of temptation by looking at the book of James starting in chapter 1. God's word contrasts 2 people, one who overcomes temptations vs the other man who is lead into sin. It is important to understand what God expects and which person our life aligns with. In this final episode we will look at Romans 7:13-25, the man who struggles and wars in the flesh against sin. The man who cannot overcome, even though he desperately want to. As we examine scripture we will find out why this person cannot overcome. Why they continue to do evil, but cannot do good. As it turns out this is still the condemned man who is a slave to sin. In summary, Paul is teaching why sin is the cause of a persons death and not the law. He uses the "old man" in this teaching example. In this episode we look at passages at how God explains the Spirit and the Flesh. There is much confusion because the full truth is not being taught. We will first look at Jesus Christ, our example. He was born in the FLESH, lived and existed in the FLESH; but he walked according the the SPIRIT. He did not do deeds of the FLESH, but he did deeds of the SPIRIT. Jesus was born of FLESH and SPIRIT, but when you have the SPIRIT, it overcomes any and all weaknesses of the FLESH. We also then look at the true Christian, who has been born of FLESH, but then more importantly also born of the SPIRIT. We will see this person is to have the same SPIRIT and fullness of God in them as Jesus had. We will see that the true Christian will also still live and exist in the FLESH, but is to be walking and producing fruit of the SPIRIT and NOT fruit or deeds of the FLESH. Because people who cannot stop and overcome producing deeds or fruit of the FLESH, don't inherit or enter the kingdom of heaven. It turns out they must have been lacking the true power of God.

In this episode we will look at what God commands and examples given. God seems to ask or require an impossible task, to stop sinning. Many think, how can this be? Well God doesn't expect us to stop sinning on our own, that would be impossible. But if we have come to God in faith, then God is able to do an impossible work through faith. If we have been washed/cleansed (Part 1 episode), and spiritually baptized /crucified with Christ (Part 2 episode); then through faith the power of God has done something in our life to put to death and free us from sin, so we can overcome and stop being a slave to sin. When someone has been set free (Part 3A episode), they are able to stop sinning. If you are someone who agrees with God's word about sin, you don't want to sin, your recognize and confess the sin in your life and in your thoughts every night; then the problem most likely isn't with your desire to overcome sin but it is the lack or absence of power of God. Many don't truly know what God defines as a Godly repentance. We will cover a few passages of what God says and then explains through example what is meant by repentance. Align your mind with the God's work and the truth of what God requires. Only then through faith in God's word and what He wants to do can we come into the grace and power of God to be able to be free and to stop living a life of sin.

In this episode we will look at different passages starting with the words of Jesus who defined what it means to be FREE. We will see that how Jesus defines being free lines up with the results of being spiritually baptized or crucified discussed in Part 2. In this episode we will now look at what it means to be spiritually crucified and spiritually baptized. This is what God does when we receive the new heart and spirit. It is an impossible work that God does through Faith. All we must do is believe, but in truth. There is a result that happens, we are freed from sin and sin is put to death. We are able to now live in the newness of life by the same power of God that raised Jesus from the dead.

In this first part series of overcoming sin, we will look at the need to first be washed and cleansed. We have covered previous episodes about the new heart/spirit and how we need to receive it. Well until the heart is cleansed and we are washed from all sin; we cannot please God. In this episode we will look at the different passages in scripture that discuss the need to be washed and cleansed. It is not a work of man but a work of God. In this final episode on the profitability of scripture, we will look at what exhortations and encouragement are found in the bible. In 2 Timothy 4:2, Timothy is commanded to exhort and encourage by preaching the truth because many will turn their ears away from the truth accumulating teachers in accordance with their own desires or thinking. In Titus 1:9 the elders are charged with 2 commands, to exhort in sound teaching and to reproof those who are contradicting the sound teaching. We will look at many different passages which use this word (parakaleo - strongs #3870), to see how it is applied.

In this episode we will look at how scripture is profitable for discipline (Part4B) looking at examples of the one who God calls His "son", but struggled with obedience. So what does God have to say to this son? God is pretty clear, He tells the son the problem is there is still a bad heart and a new heart is needed (See new heart and new heart/new spirit episodes). We will look at 3 examples of God disciplining His "son", looking at Deuteronomy, Jeremiah, and Isaiah. In Isaiah we also look at the passage many people quote regarding "our righteousness is as filthy rags". The problem is this passage is quoted by the "son" who was unable to come into obedience from the chastisement of God and is destroyed, but many don't know this fact. Because they are taught in fragments and not the full context. This episode is consistent with Part 4A which explains the result is of someone who has been disciplined by God. For a legitimate child of God, the crooked paths are made straight.

In this episode we will look at how scripture is profitable for discipline (Part 4A and 4B). In Part 4A we will review the example in Hebrews ch12 of why God disciplines and what the result is of someone who has been disciplined by God. For a legitimate child of God, the crooked paths are made straight. We will also look at the other passages of the bible which discusses the rod of discipline and for WHO is getting disciplined, it is the child or fool who hasn't come into obedience and had their ways corrected yet. The rod is not for the person who has come under obedience from the discipline. If you are still being "disciplined" by God, then you may be in trouble.

In this episode we follow up how scripture is profitable for teaching. In part 1 we looked at God's commands of what from scripture (OT) we are supposed to be teaching. In this episode (Part 2) we then look at the additional instructions with regards to teaching and what God has to say as we examine NT passages. Much of the instruction is making sure the true teaching or doctrine is being proclaimed and not false teaching or doctrine, also referred to as myths and commandments or teachings of men. In this 4 part series we will look at the things God's word says we are to teach. Some are familiar with 2 Timothy 3:16 which tells us how scripture is profitable, 4 items are listed. The are 1) teaching, 2) correcting (making straight again), 3) reproof/rebuke, and 4) training in righteousness (same used for raising children). 2 Timothy 4:2 then commands Timothy to preach the word, to reprove, rebuke, and exhort will all authority. Titus 1:9 gives 2 charges to elders, they are to exhort and reproof in sound teaching (doctrine). In Part 1 today we will look at what God commands is to be taught by looking at old testament passages. Ask yourself if this is what you have been taught and if it is what you are teaching others.

Everyone would agree that Jesus was a sacrifice to God, his Father for the payment and forgiveness of sins. There had to be a holy sacrifice. Not just that, but Jesus is a living sacrifice; thus he lives forever to make intersession as people come to God through Christ (Hebrews 7:23-25). But did you know that we are commanded to be a Holy Priesthood? We are now to present our lives as a holy and living sacrifice which is our acceptable service to God. Now we cannot do that until we have been born again, of the same Spirit of Christ, being filled with all the same fullness of Christ (We discussed this in the Ephesians ch 2-5 Episode). In this episode we look at how our lives are now to be the holy and living sacrifice. We are to be freed from sin and no longer to walk in it. Instead we are to "do the will" of God. We will look at the passages which appoints us as priests, a kingdom of priests. We will also look at the passages of being commanded to do the will of God. The perfect will of God. Amen.

In this episode we will look at how Love profits us and what kind of love we just have. Be careful that your love is not of things of the world. Our love must be without hypocrisy. If we want to be sons of God, we must be able to love our enemies.

We have looked at Love being the greatest commandment and what God says it is in Part 1. Then in Part 2 we looked at Jesus' teachings and what John recorded in the book of John and 1 John which reinforces what the greatest commandment is, and that it is to be keeping the commandments and not sinning. In this episode (Part 3), we will look at how this is possible. First, we must truly have the love of God and it must be inside of us. We will look at the passages of the bible that discusses the fact the love must be inside of us and it is put there by the Holy Spirit being poured out into our hearts. To be able to love, we must have the New Heart and New Spirit. We did a separate 6 part series on this topic, but for this series we will be focusing on whether we have the Love of God and what it does.

In this episode we will continue to look at "Love". In part 1 we looked at how God defined what it means to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. The greatest commandment and fulfillment of the law. We will now look at the teachings from Jesus that John recorded and taught in the books of John, 1 John, and 2 John. God's word will now reinforce what it means to love, who loves God, and who is the liar (the one who says and thinks they love God, but God says they DON'T). The passages will continue to reinforce to love God is to keep God's commandments, to abide in righteousness, and to walk as Christ walked.

Description: Love, it is the greatest commandment that has existed from the beginning. Both OT and NT you will find this command. In this episode we will look at where the bible clearly states this is the command of God and where to find the passages in the OT. We will also look at scripture at how the bible explains what it means to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself. Many people think and will say they love God and love their neighbor, but does our thinking line up with what God says? To love God is to obey His voice and keep His commandments. To love your neighbor as yourself is to not sin against your neighbor? In the Part 2 of 3 episode we will explore more of the discussion in the book of John and 1 John which emphasizes God's definition of what it means to love. In Part 3 of 3, we will further explore other books of the NT to reinforce what it means to love.

In this episode we will look at what God's word has to say about our fruit. What is God's expectation for the fruit that we bear? Is it okay if our fruit varies? In this episode we continue to look at rewards. We start off examining a very misquoted and misunderstood passage with respect to rewards in 1 Corinthians chapter 3. Many people are familiar with this passage and understand it as being they might lose their reward as a result of their works being burned up, but they will still save their souls as though through fire. There is a gross misunderstanding in what is being discussed. First, the "works" being discussed is the salvation of souls, the labor in the field or building of God; harvesting souls (field) or adding living stones (God's temple or building). So the "work" being discussed are the souls of other people. Thus it is very important to lay the proper foundation and build with proper materials. Even though Paul was building with proper materials, others were not and were causing people to fall away. Paul won't lose his salvation if his work (or other souls) are burned up because of someone else who came along after him and built on the soul with poor or false workmanship. The individual will lose their soul along with the person who caused them to be destroyed by building falsely. Yet you don't come away with this understanding by reading 2-3 verses. You need to read much more. We also discuss the crown the true believers will receive.

In this episode, we will look at what God says about the rewards or "wages" He will give. We will look at a few passages starting in the OT with Abram, then move on to the NT. The Hebrew work used with Abram actually means "wages" even though it is translated as "reward" in most bibles. This is the same with all the passages reviewed in the NT. It adds a different context to the meaning when you actually know the actual word used.

In this episode we will look at what God's word reveals about the faith of Nicodemus. Nicodemus was a leader who taught the word of God to the people. He acknowledged and believed that Jesus was teaching truth. He acknowledged Jesus was from God, acknowledged the miracles Jesus performed, and acknowledged that God was with Jesus. He defended Christ before his Council peers and supported Jesus' burial with Joseph even though his peers actions put Jesus to death. Would you say your faith or the faith of your church leaders is similar so far to that of Nicodemus? Well even though Nicodemus believed and thought these things, God didn't agree with him. God's word reveals Nicodemus did not have understanding and states that Nicodemus did not agree with the testimony or teachings of Christ. We have seen this many times in scripture where a person sees themselves one way, and God sees them as exactly opposite.

In this episode we finish with discussing the New Heart/Spirit by looking at the results of what happens in our life when we receive the New Heart/Spirit. We will start in the OT looking at what God says is the result of receiving this New Heart/Spirit. Some of these same passages we find in the OT are repeated in the NT. Open up your bibles and listen to what God has to say about a powerful supernatural work and the result of what happens when the power of God takes a hold of our life!

In this episode we look at the New Heart that God wants to give and has been giving to people by examining both OT and NT passages. The New Heart is also referred to a circumcised heart, this is also discussed in the OT and NT. So how does God actually give us a New or Circumcised Heart? First it is through faith, and second it is a work that God performs by His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit also writes something in our heart. He writes the Law of God in our hearts so that we can walk in them.

God's word clearly points out we have a bad heart. It is this heart that defiles a person, by just the thought of sin. This was discussed in part 3. In this passage God clearly establishes the fact we have a bad heart, but also that this bad heart is the cause of out death. We are warned the same bad heart Israel had in the OT is the same bad heart we have in the NT. If we don't fix the bad heart by receiving a new heart, then we will be doomed to destruction just as much of Israel was in the OT.

God has high expectations. He instructs us that we are not to sin from the heart. We are not to even have any sinful thoughts. You may wonder how this is possible. Well when believe and receive a new heart you will understand. It is an impossible work that God does inside of us. But first we will examine scripture that clearly establishes we are no longer to have sin in our heart or thoughts.

Did you know God tests your heart to know what is in it? In this episode we look at how God looks at the heart to see whether or not you have the evidence of a good heart. Only God can give us a New Heart. As we look at scripture, it should become clear that God is going to examine you based upon your heart. This is why it is very important to receive the New Heart, otherwise we will be found to fail the test.

God wants you to be able to walk in godliness, holiness and truth. God also knows we have a sin problem. To deal with sin; God wants to forgive, but more importantly to cleanse you or remove all your sin and to give you a new heart and new spirit so that you can overcome. In this 6 part series, we will look at different aspects of the New Heart and New Spirit that God wants to give us. The bible warns us to ensure we have eyes to see and ears to ear. Unfortunately there are many examples, of people who claim to to see, to hear, and to understand God's word, but God says the exact opposite about them. Why is this? We will look at God's word to understand who is blind and deaf to the truth of God's word and the problem that keeps them in blindness and deafness. Jesus accuses those in a church of being blind and poor; telling them they need to become rich, to get new clothes, and new eyes. The issue really comes down to whether or not you have received the Holy Spirit of God

In this episode we will look at what obedience God requires by reviewing passages in the NT. This is a continuation from the OT passages we reviewed in the "Part 1" episode. We will discuss what does it mean to obey the gospel as discussed in John chapter 3 and follow up with a review of teachings by Jesus in the remaining chapters of John. Transitioning to Romans we will look at what it means to have an obedience of faith with examples provided in the book of Romans. There are warnings against being a son of disobedience in Ephesians and Colossians as well as warnings against falling from grace due to not obeying the truth. Passages are reviewed reminding us of the example of Israel and their disobedience and to not follow their same example and be destroyed. This is consistent with the Part 1 series on the OT passages and is also found in 1 Corinthians ch 10 as well as the book of Hebrews. Peter discusses what it means to have obedience and the necessity of it as a proof of faith and to ensure entrance into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus again warns in the book of Revelation to the churches regarding their obedience or lack there of and whether or not they will overcome.

In this episode we will look at what obedience God requires. Starting in the OT, we will first look at what God says regarding the obedience required from Abraham. The obedience required is consistent with what God states to Israel when He brings them out of Egypt. This same statement is used in Jeremiah regarding what God has always required and is consistent with the Episode on the book of Jeremiah when we discuss the new covenant in Christ that was prophesied in Jeremiah and repeated in the book of Hebrews. Reviewing the example of Saul we see God viewed Saul's failure to obey the voice of God as same as the sin of divination, iniquity, and idolatry.

In this episode we will look into the rebuke Jesus gave to the people who claimed to be servants of God. They thought they were giving God honor and worship. But Jesus told them God thinks otherwise. He quoted to them a prophesy from Isaiah 29:13. Jesus went on to explain to them, the problem wasn't their intentions, it was their heart. They still had a bad heart. We will explore the word of God and what it has to say about avoiding vain or empty worship that has no profit.

Many people say they have a faith. The question to ask is whether or not the faith can save. In this episode we will look at the faith of Abraham. Many people do not know that Abraham had a faith that could not save when he initially received the covenant and statement from God "Abram believed God and it was credited to him as Righteousness". This was a statement of prophecy made before he truly understood and believed in the promise as God had intended. Abram initially had his faith in his own works ("works of the law") and not of faith which demands the "work of God". In this episode we will explore the age old debate of Faith vs Works. Sadly many do not know or understand the argument of Faith vs Works and don't realize it is based upon how you receive the Holy Spirit and what the corresponding result. Many believe and have a faith in God, but because they don't understand or have faith in the impossible work that God requires; they come to God in faith and then struggle to live a holy and godly life free from sin. God desires us to be free, but we must have the faith of Abraham, not the faith of Abram. Abram believed in God and had faith, but only under the covenant of slavery (allegorically referred to as Hagar in Galatians) vs Abraham who believed and had faith, after God corrected him, and received the covenant of promise (allegorically referred to as Sarah in Galatians). It is the same with our faith. We must be born again and changed as by the Holy Spirit as a son of God vs only being born of flesh as a son of man. The Holy Spirit does an impossible work to set us free from sin so that we can walk in the righteousness of God and produce Spritual Works or Spiritual Fruit vs "Works of the Law" or "Works of the Flesh".

In this episode we follow up with Charity. She previously lived several decades of her life convinced she was a Christian and serving God as she served in her church, went on missions trips, fellowshipped with the church and enjoyed reading God's word. Then she discovered the FULL TRUTH and received a new heart and the spirit of God to set her free from sin and now a slave of righteousness. In this episode we will continue to look at God's word, continuing with NT passages with respect to why we don't need to fear death, but fear God. We will start in 1 Peter looking at the hope of the resurrection and inheritance to be granted at the end of the age. However, to take part in the inheritance, we must have a proof of faith. We will find out as we continue through 1 Peter whether or not we are truly in the Grace of God. 1 Peter 3 quotes Psalm 34 regarding what is the fear of the LORD and how we receive a blessing. Other passages are covered which reinforces we are not to fear death, but we are to fear God. We also review passages on how we can have confidence before God, and how we should live until the end to find favor with God.

In this episode we will continue to look at God's word, this time at NT passages with respect to why we don't need to fear death, but fear God. We will start in Mathew where Jesus tells us we are not to fear man but God and then gives us the reason. Jesus further explains how we can escape death. We will also look at some teachings in Romans and 2 Corinthians on how to escape death and also how saints are willing to freely give up their lives to death serving God. This is consistent with the words Jesus spoke in the Gospels about what will it profit a man if he gain the whole world and loses his soul, we must be willing to lose our life for Christ.

In this episode we will look at what God has to say about the "Fear of the LORD." What is the "Fear of the Lord" and what does it do? We will discover those who have found it have become the Righteous man. Those who don't are still considered sinners, wicked, or fools. The Righteous man has no fear of death, the wicked man does. As a matter of fact, God is with the Righteous man but is against the wicked. In this episode we look at the OT passages. In part 2, the next episode we will look at NT passages regarding this topic.

In this episode we will look at the prophecy of the battle of Gog & Magog against Jerusalem. We will look at the timing of where the bible places this battle. We will start in Ezekiel and look at the the behavior of God towards His own people and how he responds due to their sin. There is a similarity both in how God responds to Israel as recorded in Ezekiel and God response to the world in the tribulations recorded in the book of Revelation. Examining the book of Ezekiel, Revelation, and Zachariah; it will be shown this battle is most likely the battle that occurs at the end of the millennial kingdom (1,000 years after Jesus Christ second coming and the gathering of all the saints). We will also look at passages which discuss the timing and return of Jesus Christ and the gathering (or rapture) of the saints.

In this episode we look at the instructions to Ezekiel from God about the responsibilities and expectations God has for being a watchman. God wants people to be warned about the life of sin they live that it will lead to their death if they are unable to repent. We will look at the instruction God gives, as well as the judgements upon the people because they were not listening to the words of God. God also gives the solution to the people's sin. He tells them what they must do so that God will no longer remember their sins. Most people don't know the answer. God also tells them what will happen to them if they turn back to sin, this is the same warning given in the new testament we covered in the episode "once saved always saved? God says if you endure to the end."

Passages: Ezekiel ch 1-5, 9, 11, 13, 14, 18, 33

I have found many people are aware and identify with the INFANTS at Corinth, those still stuck on milk, and they don't see this as a problem. They identify with rewards being lost, but still being saved as though through fire. But if people really know the whole story about the Corinthian church, they would be much more concerned and actually distance themselves from the INFANTS.

In this episode we will start with the end of the books and work backwards. Hindsight truly is 20/20. When you look at the danger the church was in and the warnings God gives to them, people tend to slow down in jumping to conclusions and firmly holding on to faulty beliefs. Working backwards we point out the following aspects of this church, including the most revealing at the end (or beginning of 1 Corinthians) where we find out the full disclosure of who these infants actually were and the danger.

2Corinthians:

ch13 - Previously stated a second time and now a third, Paul will not spare those who sinned and still haven't repented (carryover from ch 12)
ch13- commands them to examine (test) themselves to see if they are even in the faith, unless the fail the test and are disqualified. Although Paul was being accused, he says that he does not fail the test even though there were those who were apparently claiming Paul was disqualified.
ch12 - Paul says he is afraid that he will still find sin in the Corinthian church (strife, jealousy, tempers, disputes, slanders, gossip, arrogance ....
ch 11 - Paul is afraid they will be deceived by the Devil, just as Eve, and accept a different Jesus, Spirit, and gospel that was preached to them, because they were currently accepting / tolerating these lies. He warns them against those who had come in and trying to be regarded as Paul in their preaching. Paul says they are false apostles, servants of the devil, disguised as servants of righteousness and not to listen to them.
ch 10 - Paul says they will punish all disobedience once the church finally gets obedience (we will see there were many pockets of problems in the church)
ch 7 - Paul pleads with them to make room in their hearts for them, that Paul didn't wrong anyone or take advantage. He says he does not regret causing them sorrow, because the sorrow was a godly sorrow that lead to repentance leading to salvation (this is a follow up from his first letter, but as we already saw from the end of this 2nd letter the problems still persisted within the church). He says we are to perfect holiness in the fear of God
ch6 - He begs and urges the church to NOT receive the grace of God in vain. He says the church is not restrained by Paul, but by their own affections. He then commands them they must be separate and holy.
ch5 - He warns against those in the church that take pride in outward appearance vs the inward condition of the heart. He says they are to become a new creation, to become the righteousness of God in Christ.
ch 4 - Warns about those who are perishing because the veil still lies over their heart
ch 3 - Some of the Corinthians were referred to as a letter of Christ written not with ink, but the Spirit; not on tablets of stone, but of the human heart
ch2- need to be careful about the schemes of the Devil
ch 1- As God is witness to Paul's soul, he came again to Corinth NOT to SPARE them.

1 Corinthians

ch15 - Some needed to STOP being deceived, awake to righteousness, and STOP sinning, they had NO knowledge of God. Some also had a vain, worthless faith. To others he said they are being saved, IF they hold fast the word preached to them, unless they believed in vain
ch13- Some who speak in tongues, prophecy, have knowledge, know the mysteries of God, have all faith, give all their money to the poor, and willing to give their life .... He says their life is NOTHING and of NO PROFIT. I wonder why? Paul says he is NO LONGER an INFANT. No longer does he thing, reason, speak or live like an INFANT; that he is now a man. He also says those who are arrogant do not have love.
ch11 - Warns of the church gatherings to celebrate Christ. Says they get together for the worse, not good. Why, because they have divisions. He goes on and says they despise the church of God. He says some are weak, sick, and dead, because they are partaking of the Lords supper in an unworthy manner. Says they will be guilty of the blood of Christ.
ch10 - warns the church not to be destroyed like the chosen people of God (Israel). The ate the same spiritual food/drink from Christ. God destroyed them because of sin. Says this was written for our instruction today. Commands them to be careful to not fall, and that God is faithful and has already provided a way for them to always overcome and endure temptation, not to fail.
ch9 - Paul responds to those trying to judge him, that he lives for God for the purpose of winning souls. That he runs the race in such a way, so that he won't be disqualified
ch8 - warns that knowledge makes arrogant, BUT those who love are known by God
ch7 - What matters is keeping the commandments of God
ch6 - Paul accuses some in the church of being defeated and wronging and defrauding their own brethren. He then reminds them the unrighteous WILL NOT inherit the kingdom of God. He then says that only SOME of them were washed and sanctified.
ch5 - He tell the church they have leaven that has mixed in with the lump and needs to be purged. He then commands to remove those called brothers that are still sinning. He says we do not judge outside the church, but inside the church to remove the wicked or sinning brother.
ch4 - Paul says he has written to them so that they WON'T become ARROGANT. The problem is he then says that SOME of them HAVE become ARROGANT. Some are boasting, considering themselves wise, strong and with honor. (This is opposite of who God says has peace with Him)
Ch3 - Paul declares the INFANTS are those who are NOT SPIRITUAL. He says he couldn't give them solid food before, and STILL CANNOT give them solid food, because they are still worldly (fleshly). He then accuses the INFANTS of the division originally discussed in ch1. This is consistent with Hebrews ch5/6, Ephesians ch4, Galatians ch4 (we covered all this in those episodes of those books/chapters). Infants are still slaves of the world, have not been set free, do not have the Spirit of God.
ch2 - defines that the natural (worldly) man DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT, cannot understand the things of the Spirit. The natural man IS NOT the Spiritual man.
God has rejected those who consider themselves wise, strong, noble (honor) ... sounds like the ARROGANT FROM CH4.
Ch1 - PROBLEM in the church, some where creating DIVISIONS. Did not have the wisdom of God (Spiritual) but wisdom of the world.

Do you still want to be like the INFANT now?

In this episode we will look at 2 passages quoted by many to give them comfort to the sin that cannot be done away with in their life and in their thoughts. These 2 passages like many are taken completely out of context to help people come to ease with the fact they cannot stop sinning. The problem is this is opposite of what the Grace of God does in a persons life as we have covered in past episodes. So what is Ecclesiastes 7:20 and Romans 3:10-12?

Eccclesiastes 7:20 Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and does not sin

Romans 3:10-12 There is none righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, there is none who seeks for God, all have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, there is not even one.

The problem is when you look closer at the context of these passages and the full teaching of the respective books, this is not describing the NEW CREATION or the righteous man, but everyone who is born in to darkness, a wretched man who is condemned, until they get a new heart and new spirit. We will look at the passages in all chapters of Ecclesiastes to clearly show most of this book is written regarding what the wisdom of the world says, those who are in darkness and have no fellowship with God. We will also look at the Romans 3:10-12 passage which is a quotation of Psalm ch 14 referring to "fools" who say there is no God, and contrast with Psalm chapter 15 which talks about the righteous man who will abide with God.

In this episode we will look at how God's word explains the fact the New Commandment is the same as the Old Commandment and to be doers of the Law. Many people are taught the Old Commandment was done away, that the Law was abolished. But this is actually opposite of what the word of God says. We will look at what the original and greatest commandment given and how it hasn't changed. We will look at how God explains what it means to fulfill the Law. We review the explanation God gives on the difference between faith vs "works of the Law" and how one can be a doer of the Law and the other person it is impossible. In this episode we will review what God defines as a peacemaker. Not the definition of what man would say (man's wisdom), but what God says (God's wisdom). Man's wisdom typically looks at the physical and applies whether or not you are a peacemaker by looking at earthly relationships between people. As we look at God's word, we will see God is more interested in those who seek to establish peace between man and God.

As we look at scripture, we will see God wants man to be reconciled and to be at peace with Him. These are the peacemakers that will be called Son's of God. God's word also tells us that those who are children of God will actually create division and hate by the world. When the world rejects truth, they end up becoming the enemies of the son's of light. Jesus says he didn't come to bring peace but a sword and division, even to members within a single household. Jesus says the world will hate him because he testifies against their sinful deeds.

In this episode we will look at God's word to see if the "once saved always saved" doctrine is True or FALSE. There are many who hold to a belief that you cannot fall way, cannot shipwreck your faith, cannot fall from grace, cannot be severed from Christ, and will say it is not about enduring to the end. Well those are opinions and only hold water if, that is, the word of God substantiates those statements. There is a problem though, the word of God says the opposite. The word of God warns about falling away, the dangers of shipwrecking your faith, of those who have fallen away and shipwrecked their faith. The bible warns against Christian leaders falling into the same condemnation as the devil. In case you didn't know, the devil is cast into hell at the end of the millennial reign. Jesus repeatedly warns the churches in the book of Revelation that they must hold fast and endure to the end or they do not overcome and do not receive of the promise. You will find that God's word is consistent and true. It will also expose the liars and deceivers who think they serve God but do not realize they are still slaves to sin and have not discovered the power of God to overcome.

In this episode we will look at how God says He will judge everyone. The answer is surprising for most people because they don't know the entire bible or all the ways of God. It is true that one can only enter into the Grace of God and receive of the free gift of the Holy Spirit through faith. However, where most people error in their understanding is the result of what God says His Holy Spirit does and what it means to be changed into a new creation. Someone who has received of the Holy Spirit of God and the new heart, having been cleansed of all sin by having the evil heart removed, now live a new live with power and produce righteousness and holiness. God says the proof of their faith, that they truly received of the Holy Spirit and power of God is they now live a new life that will be evident in their deeds. Thus God's test of each persons faith to determine if it truly is a true faith is by evaluating their DEEDS. In this episode we look at the passages where God clearly says this from both the OT and NT passages all the way to the book of Revelation. We will then give several examples of passages that continues to reinforce this statement.

In this episode we discuss what it means to be righteous. Many have a false understanding of what it means to be a righteous person. They think that because they believe in Jesus they are now "righteous". The problem is God defines the righteous person as the one who lives or walks in righteousness. We will look at the life of what God says about Noah, passages from the Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, and Ezekiel. God defines and gives examples of who are those who He calls "righteous" vs those who He calls sinners or "wicked".

In this episode we will actually go and learn what this statement means "I desire compassion and not a sacrifice." Many people probably have an idea what the statement means, but have not actually turned to the word of God to understand what God meant. This statement comes from Hosea 6:6. It is in reference to God's response to Israel. A nation that would turn to God in distress, but lacked loyalty to God. God describes the problem of sin, His response to bring destruction because of the sin, and His desire to show compassion to Israel. The problem is Israel and Judah did not turn to God with their heart. Find out what true knowledge of God and restoration with God looks like.

Many people are believing in a half truth regarding God will never leave me nor forsake me. Will you find these words in the bible? Absolutely you will, BUT you will also find the rest of the story that unfortunately is being hidden by deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons propagated through man's teaching.

We will examine the passages of scripture that states this truth, but also captures the rest of the promise and conditions for when God says He WILL Forsake You. Some passages are: Deuteronomy 31:6-8 and vs 16-18; 2 Chronicles 15:1-2 and 24:20-21.

We will examine the example of Israel. Whom God calls His firstborn (Exodus 4:22-23), My People (Ex 5:1), His Redeemed (Ex 6:6-8), brought them through the passover blood (Ex 12:13,23), brought them salvation (Ex 14:13) and Israel feared and believed in God (Ex 14:30-31). But then after all of this God destroys them, Why? What was the problem? We review a summary of what God commanded them, what they did, and what God says was the problem. Some passages reviewed are Deuteronomy 5:29; ch6, ch8, 10:12-16, 18:15-20; Acts 3:19-26; Deut 29:4, chapter 30.

We examine the example God gives of how He will execute His promises and when He will change it, specifically the example God gives of Him being the potter and we being the clay in Jeremiah chapter 18.

Next we look at the faith of Abraham and the conditional promises that aren't being taught. Genesis 17:1-2, 18:17-19, 22:16-18, 26:4-5

We then explore examples of other Kings and Solomon and the instruction from God. 1 Chronicles 28:9, 2 Chronicles 7:17-22, 1 Kings 8:23-25, 11:11-12; 2 Kings 18:11-12. You will see that God called Solomon to be His son, that He would bless him. The problem is Solomon ends up being rejected by God.

Instruction in the Psalms and Proverbs regarding obedience to God and finding blessing. Psalm 25:10, 37:27-31, 78:31-37; Proverbs 2:17-22.

We look at the promise in Isaiah chapter 55 how to freely receive food and water from God without cost, for free! We also examine the people in chapter 58 who are rejected by God even though they seek Him, long for His nearness, as a people of Righteousness, a people who Fast to God.

We end in the covenant promise with Christ reviewed in Jeremiah chapter 31 and 32.

In this episode we will look at what is the TRUE Grace of God. We will look at God's word and what He says is the result of Grace in our lives. Do we understand what God say's His Grace does? Is our faith in this Grace that which God has defined? Or do we find ourselves standing in a different Grace that is different from what God says. In this episode we will look at the following passages: Titus chapter 2/3, Romans Chapter 1/5/6, John chapter 1, Galatians chapter 2/3/5, 1 Peter, Colossians chapter 1, Luke chapter 1/6.

In this episode we will look at what God says about believing. Many know John 3:16, but there is something else discussed in the book of John in chapter 1 about being born of the Spirit. You must have belief in the TRUTH and you must be born of the Spirit. We will review scripture and look at the different examples in the bible of those who "believed" but never received the Spirit. The belief must be in the heart and must result in righteousness. We will explore the following books: Mark chapter 1 and 16, John chapter 1, 3, 6, 8, 12, Luke chapter 8, Acts chapter 8, 13, 15, 18, 19, 21, Romans chapter 10, James chapter 2, Jude and Hebrews chapter 4.

In this episode we look at who God says is blessed. Surprisingly many people know Psalm 1, but assume they are the blessed man even though they continue to do the things of the sinner that God says will not stand before God. We will look at Psalm 14 which discusses the "none righteous (who does good), no not one" and "no one who understands". The problem is people identify as this person, but they are the fool that doesn't have peace with God because they are a sinner. They don't understand they are in great danger, they think they understand; but sadly are deceiving themselves. I pray God's word will convict of His ways and expose the deception that man is sowing into God's word.

In this episode we cover the danger of drifting away from God and quenching the Spirit. We cover what Paul has to warn about it in the letters to the Philippians and Galatians, and make excursions into Ephesians and 1st and 2nd Corinthians.

In this episode we will look at God's word to better understand what in means to be "Justified" as defined by God. The word justified [Verb, Strongs 1344 - dikaioo] actually means to be righteous. It is the verb form of the noun "righteous" [noun, Strongs 1343 - dikaiosune.

As we look at scripture, we will see that first a person must be sanctified or made holy, but receiving the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us a new heart. Remember the bible teach us that everyone is born with a wicked/evil heart. Until we receive a new heart with new thoughts, we are defiled before God. Because sin lives in the heart. We cannot be righteous or live righteously before God until we have been sanctified and received a new heart. Until then, the wicked thoughts that pop into our minds when we face trials continues to defile us. Jesus taught us the one who commits sin is a slave to sin. The remedy is to be sanctified (event) so that we can live live and be righteous (or justified) by the power of the Holy Spirit and the new heart which we have received when we were born again or spiritually baptized. See episode we did on "Sanctification is an event not a process", "God requires a New Heart" and "Romans ch 6 Spiritual Baptism".

Many are familiar with the argument of Justified by Faith or Justified by Works of the Law, but do not understand this argument is referring to the process of how someone can get to the point of being righteous or living righteously. First a person must receive the Holy Spirit which can only come by Faith. Then once a person has been changed into the new creation, filled with all the fullness/deity of God; now they can live and produce Spiritual fruit or works of the Spirit (fruit of the Spirit). This will be explained by God's word as we look at different passages.

We will look at passages in Mathew, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians. Galatians, Titus, 2 Timothy, James, and Revelation.

What Spirit do you have and how do you know? There is only one way to know the thoughts of God, and that is to possess the Spirit of God dwelling within you. The problem is there were some in the Corinthian church who did not possess the Spirit of God. They were still the "natural" man who DOES NOT ACCEPT the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to them and they cannot understand.

You need to listen to "1Cor ch1-2: Why are there divisions in the church?" to understand who God says there were some in the Corinthian church who rejected the things of the Spirit of God even though they thought they were Christians.

Additional points discussed are as follows:

There were some who were still carnal, infants in Christ. "Infants in Christ" are defined in Galatians ch4 and Ephesians ch4 as those who don't have the Spirit of God, still enslaved to the world, are tossed by waves, driven by the wind, and deceived by trickery and deception of false doctrines.
Paul could not give them solid food before and even now, still cannot give them solid food because they are still carnal, have jealousy and strife, which is natural and demonic wisdom and not the wisdom from God.
This group of prideful/arrogant brethren are instructed they must become foolish to become wise and that their reasonings are useless.
Sarcasm is then used to reprimand these prideful people accusing them of many items including possessing wisdom and strength while the apostles are "fools" for Christ, weak and without honor.
Reminder the kingdom of God consists of power and Paul will find out if these arrogant/prideful people have any power.

Divisions in the church are not normal. Not only are they not normal, but God has a lot to say about the divisions of the church of Corinth that had appeared. Some of the points discussed are as follows:

The Corinthian church had some true Christians who had been sanctified and enriched in all speech and knowledge in Christ.
Some divisions existed amongst those who were prideful and fleshly, not spiritual.
The "some" are questioned if they have "divided Christ" and who they were baptized into?
Warning about making the cross of Christ "void" or "empty"
Warning about relying on the wisdom and strength of the world vs God. The warning is directed to people who call themselves servants of God, but because they don't accept the Truth and Instruction God has given, God says they will perish
Contrast between those proclaiming the testimony of God using the wisdom of the world (their own wisdom / strength) vs the wisdom of God in demonstration of Spirit and the power of God
Those who don't understand don't have the word of God in their heart!

In the following episode "1Cor ch2-4: What Spirit do YOU have?" we discuss the difference between those who have the spirit of God vs the spirit/wisdom of the world.

Do you want to experience the fullest measure of the blessing of God? Well it all starts with humility. When we come to God, we must be willing to admit that our knowledge and understanding of God's ways are incorrect. We must be willing to looks to God's word and let God explain to us His ways. Who are we to tell God what He meant by the words He chose to communicate through His prophets? Sadly, to many people (myself included for many decades), take the word of God and interpret it to conform to the teaching they have been taught and raised on. Most people were not taught and instructed on the outline and complete comprehensive teaching of the book, but instead a verse here and a verse there followed by mans wisdom teaching and instructing them what the verse means. Are we willing to start afresh, and read the bible with an open mind, without bias, and let God instruct us through his word of the specific book so that we can understand the examples God gives and the words He uses to explain the meaning and basis of the message and words of Truth?

Do you want to have confidence that what you are believing is absolutely 100% correct and not find out on the day of judgement that you are disqualified from entering the kingdom of heaven? In this episode we will look at the book of James and contrast the person who is of God vs the person who is deceived. The person who has the wisdom from God vs the person who is still tainted by the wisdom of the world. In the end it all comes down to humility and willing to admit that maybe we are still wrong and God still has something better for us.

Many know a select few verses from the book of Romans, and sadly they misquote these verses and incorrectly apply corrupt doctrine. We discuss much of these false conclusions inour prior episodes of Romans chapter 3-4, chapter 6, 7, 8, and 10. In this episode we look at what God communicates as the gospel and those who have eternal life. Consistent with much of God's instructions, He distinguishes between those who claim to have fellowship with God in truth as well as those who falsely claim to have fellowship with God. The secret is whether or not we have received of the power of God, received a new heart, are able to be doers of the law who are justified, and not be like the hypocrites who continue to sin every day and have to confess their sins and they think they have peace with God. They continue to bear bad fruit, and fruit of the devil, but somehow believe they have been set free and are serving one master.

There are many who quote Hebrews 10:25 with respect to encouraging one another to not forsake the fellowship or gathering of the brethren. Sadly many of these people who quote this passage do not understand this passage, let alone the chapter or the book of Hebrews. It is the many who quote verses and take them out of context and don't understand the book from which they pluck passages. It is the few who accurately handle the word of God and know the full context of the book from which they take scripture.

In this episode we will discuss the context of what this verse means, more specifically who are the "true" brethren and who are those who are false as well as those who were once sanctified but fell back into sin and will be subject to the wrath of God and fury of fire that consumes His adversaries.

We will also look at the following passages:

2 Corinthians chapter 6: the exhortation and command to not fellowship with darkness and unbelievers
John chapter 8: Jesus speaking to the those who had "believed" in him, then goes on to state those who continue to sin are slaves and do not get to remain in the house with Christ. Those who had "believed" in Jesus then argue with Jesus. Jesus then tells them that are of their father the devil and do not believe in Jesus.
2 John chapter 1: Scripture warns us not to give a greeting or fellowship with those who teach a doctrine different from what John teaches.

In this episode George shares his testimony on how he found Christ. George grew up as a boy introduced to the catholic faith which is what was practiced in his home. As George grew up, he found himself as an Atheist. From there he ended up accepting the Christian faith through a series of circumstances and considered himself a Christian. At the time, George didn't realize he wasn't taught the full truth and was an infant in Christ but hadn't been spiritually baptized into Christ. He had not received a new heart and had not been set free from sin. Through another series of events, George found the truth and the truth set him free. Listen as George shares his testimony of finding Christ!

In this episode we discuss who are the son's of God vs the son's of the Devil. It really comes down to if we still commit sin. Do you find yourself as someone who still prays each night or week confessing and asking for forgiveness for sins that you continue to commit? God says that is a problem. He wants to free you from that burden and struggle. The teachings of men will say that is normal and will always exist, but that is not in line with the truth of God and the power of God.

In the previous episode of 1 John ch 1-2 we contrasted the 2 different groups of people God addresses in His word. Those in chapter 1 who do not have fellowship but are liars and how they can come to have fellowship vs those in chapter 2 who do have fellowship with God and how they know they have fellowship with God.

No one who sins abides in Christ

We discuss how those who commit sin are sons of the devil. People like to change the word into something beyond what it is saying. They like to say someone who habitually sins. Well it is the same word and tense used both in John chapter 8 (Jesus speaking to those who "believed" in him and later tells them they are sons of the devil) and also in Romans ch 7:13-25 where Paul discusses the condemned man who still commits or does sin (same word and tense used in 1 John ch3 who is the son of the Devil).
The problem is people don't know the difference between being a slave of sin vs a slave of righteousness. We show what God says about this topic in Romans ch 6 and ch 7.
It is the power of God that changes us, puts to death the body of sin, free us from sin, makes us a slave of righteousness, and we now walk in the newness of life according to the power of God.
God warns about continuing to live with 2 natures. God says this person is an adultress.
The man of Romans 7:13-25 is the man who has not yet had sin put to death, is still a slave of sin, and sin still dwells in him, the person is a slave of sin in their members. The are convicted by the law of God of what is good, but are unable to overcome because of the sin that is still alive inside of them and in their members.

I pray you will carefully examine the scripture and consider the full word of God. God wants everyone to experience the full freedom from sin, but this can only happen if we believe in the full words of God, the power of God, and the impossible work that He promised to perform and want to perform in you!

In this episode we look at who God's word says has fellowship with Him. The first chapter of 1 John is written to those who do not have fellowship, but John desires they have fellowship. This is pointed out in 1:3. The following points are discussed in this episode:

The gospel message announced by Jesus: God is Light and in Him there is No darkness (1:5). Many people get confused by how this can be the gospel message. Well the problem is they don't understand the first think you need to know is there is No darkness in God. He does not let darkness or sin abide in Him. That is why there is a cleansing and an abiding. God does the work in us if we have faith in what God says He wants to do.
The problem is there are those in the church that say they have fellowship with God, but still walk in darkness. God calls these people liars, and the truth is not in them (1:6).
God says those who have fellowship and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus are those who walk in the Light AS God is Light (1:7).
The problem is people still walk in darkness because they still have a bad heart (sin still dwells in their heart). They still carry around darkness in their heart. This people still have sin dwelling in their heart. It is just like Israel in the OT where they thought they had fellowship with God, but God rejects them because they still had darkness (the bad heart). When people say they have fellowship with God, in the eyes of God they are claiming to be holy before God. No one can have fellowship with God until God cleanses them from all sin through the blood of Jesus and gives them the holy spirit so they can walk in Light as God is Light or be Holy as God is Holy in All their behavior. We cover this teaching as we look at 1 John 1:8-10 on what they need to do and why as well as looking at the book of 1 Peter and Romans chapter 2 and 6.
Those who have fellowship with God are addressed starting in chapter 2 of 1 John. There are different things written to this group of people.
We are now told who are those who actually know God and who are those that don't. It comes down to if you keep the commandments and walk as Jesus walked.
The teaching is not a new commandment, but the old commandment that we have had from the beginning.
We are not to love the things of the world or the love of the Father is not in us. Those who are doing the will of God are those who will live to eternity. (1 John 2:15-18).
Who is the spirit of the antichrist (1 John 2).
We are not to be deceived, abide in the holy spirit, abide in Him and practice righteousness just as He is righteous. This is how we know we are born of God

We will follow up with the rest of the book of 1 John chapter 3-5 to continue the teachings of God

In this episode we will look at why Jesus says you are to hate your family members and your own life if you want to be his disciple. Not only this, but Jesus goes on to talk about how he came to create division and not peace within a family. Members of your own household will be your enemies and cause you to be put to death.

We will look at the following topics to help understand these statements:

We are commanded to not love the world, if we love the world the love of the Father is not in us. Find out why (1 John 2:15-17)
What does it mean to love your neighbor, many people say to do good; however, the answer to to not sin (Romans 13:8-12)
If you are friends with the world you make yourself an adulteress and an enemy of God (James 4:4-5)
The world hates those in light. (John 7:7, 15:18-20)
Members of your earthly family that do not come to God are God's enemies. We look at passages in Exodus ch 32, and the gospel books
Those who do the will of God are Jesus's brothers and sisters and of the family of God. There is a difference between the earthly family and the heavenly family, earthly possessions and heavenly possessions. (various gospel books)
We must be willing to lose our life to find life to eternity (various gospel books)
There is a difference between our former life and new life. We use to live as children of wrath, but now we no longer walk in the sin we once were enslaved. We are to separate ourselves and live holy godly lives. (Ephesians ch2, 2 Corinthians ch 6).

In this episode we continue in the book of Luke picking up were we left off in chapter 10. Jesus brought the kingdom of God near to the people by preaching repentance for the forgiveness of sins and demonstrating the power of God. As we continue to look at the remaining chapters of the book the following questions and themes are discussed:

What shall I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus answers directs the answer towards the law and then says they answered correctly, do this and you will live.
The Lord's prayer: Do you know how to receive forgiveness of sins and to stop being led into temptation? God gives the answer immediately after the prayer when He tells us what we need to ask for, sadly most people stop and don't keep reading. The answer is you need to receive the Holy Spirit. (Luke chapter 11)
Those who are blessed are those who hear and are doers of the word of God (11:28)
Do you think you have light in you. Be careful the light in you is not darkness. Jesus says the one who is wholly illuminated had not a single dark part in them anymore (11:33-36)
Jesus invited as a guest to a meal responds to his host and dinner guests before the meal starts by calling them fools, robbers, wicked, dead men, and murderers. Some people would say that is not kind, but Jesus can only speak the truth. (11:36-54)
Be careful about setting your focus on working to retirement so that you can stop working, relax, be at easy, eat, drink, and be merry. God warns such a person will lose their soul. (12:13-21)
Do not worry about things of the world and provisions for your life, this is not faith in God; but we are to seek His kingdom and these things will be provided to us (12:22-32).
Make sure you are ready and not caught unprepared when Jesus comes back. You don't want to be assigned to the place of unbelievers (12:35-48)
How do you know if you are entering through the wide or the narrow gate (ch 13)
Why does Jesus say you must hate family and your own life to be his disciple? (ch 14)
You cannot serve 2 masters. The gospel preached today is the same gospel preached by Moses and the Prophets (ch 16)
Don't be like the self professing Christian that God rejects, be humble like the TRUE repentant sinner that needs to be changed. Keep the commandments if you want to inherit eternal life (ch 18).

In this episode, we explore the beginning of Jesus' ministry. We walk through the first 10 chapters of the Gospel of Luke and explore what Jesus meant when he sent his disciples out to proclaim the "Kingdom of God."

We address the questions:

What is the message that Christ proclaimed?
How did some respond to the teachings?
What was the cost?
Who does Jesus say obtains eternal life?
How does Jesus say WE obtain eternal life?

in light of connections found in Romans 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, Hebrews, as well as in 1 John, Galatians, Colossians, Ephesians 2-6, Titus, and 2 Peter. We pray this episode is a blessing to you.

There is a lot of false understanding on what God commands with respect to judgement. Three areas of judgement we will look at are as follows: 1) God commands true believers to rebuke / reproof the one who is has sinned to turn them from the error of their way.2) God commands that we are not to judge those outside the church (e.g. the world), but we are to judge those inside the church. Further, we are to remove the wicked (those who continue to sin) from the church.3) God condemns and speaks against the hypocrites that think they are serving God, but are still a slave of sin themselves; and they judge others saying they should not sin, even though these hypocrites are still sinners themselves.
Ironically, the many who profess themselves as Christians are still slaves of sin. They declare with their mouth they will continue to sin and be imperfect until the day they die. They are no different then those who don't believe in God and are still slaves of sin. It is as Jesus said in John 8:31-59, speaking to those who believed (v31), he said IF you continue in My word then you are truly disciples of mine. Jesus then tells them the one who commits sin is the slave of sin (v34). The slave does not remain in the house forever, the son remains forever (v35). Jesus then tells these people who had "believed" in him, that they do the deeds of their father the devil (v41, v44). This is consistent with 1 John 3:5-10. No one who abides in Jesus sins (v6). Don't be deceived the one who sins is of the devil (7-8). Sin is the work or fruit of the devil, not of God. When we are born again we are cleansed from all unrighteousness, receive a new heart and new spirit, so we can now walk and abide in light.

In this episode we will look at some foundational truths that many people have backwards. We will start will looking at Israel and what happened to them. Everything that happened to them was written down for our instruction.

The NT tells us that the OT scripture and events that happened to Israel was written for our instruction. We briefly look at 1 Corinthians chapter 10, Hebrews CH 2-4, and Romans CH 11. The bible says Israel had the same good news preached to them. They failed to find favor with God or enter into God's rest because of disobedience. They still had a hard heart and continued in sin. The bible [NT] warns Christians today to not fall or get broken off by falling the same example of disobedience. Even though they were a people who were God's first born son, redeemed by the blood of the lamb, experienced the salvation of the LORD being delivered out of Egypt, a people who believed and feared the LORD. Then why did God destroy most of them? Why did He forsake them? What happened? The couldn't stop stumbling and they couldn't escape the snare of sin. They didn't have a new heart. This is discussed very clearly in Part 2 in Deuteronomy.

We also address the follow questions that many people get wrong because they don't know the full scripture. The devil seeks to get people to believe in part of the scripture but not all of it. Some of the questions we will answer are as follows:

1) Does God reject or forsake His chosen people whom He has redeemed and brought salvation? Many people will say this cannot happen. The bible says it does happen and that it is conditional depending on those of His chosen people whom He will not forsake and those whom He will forsake. This is specifically discussed in Deuteronomy chapter 31 with many examples discussed before in earlier books.

2) What is God's proper name, His memorial name for all generations? It is used just under 7,000 times in the OT. God points this out in Exodus. His proper name is YHWH. The original Hebrew did not use vowels, so there is debate over what vowels are used as well as pronunciation. Many bibles record God's proper name as all capital LORD in the OT print.

3) Who threw down their staff in the presence of Pharaoh and it turned into a snake? If you answered Moses, then you would be incorrect. It was Aaron.

4) Who struck the Nile with their staff and turned it to blood? Stretched out their staff and caused the frogs to come upon the land, and later the plague of the gnats? If you answered Moses, then you would be incorrect. It was Aaron.

5) Does God say He has made man a "God"? If you answered "No", then you would be incorrect. He specifically states He has made Moses a God to Pharaoh and also made Moses a God to Aaron. In the episode on the Gospel of Acts, we discuss Jesus' response to the Jewish leaders in John chapter 10 where God calls the people "Gods" to whom the word of God came.

6) Who does God first speak to and communicate the 10 commandments? If you answered Moses, you would be incorrect. The answer is the entire nation of Israel.

7) Does God's loving kindness endure forever and is it unconditional? The first part is True, the second part is False. God tells us in Exodus 20:6 and in Deuteronomy that His loving kindness endures forever to those who love Him and keep His commandments. This is consistent with 1 John 2:3-4 By this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says he has come to know Him and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him ....

8) Does God blot people out of His book? If you answered No, that is not in line with scripture. There are several places in scripture that states and implies otherwise. One passage discussed in this episode is in Exodus 32:33.

9) Why did God test and bring trials on Israel? To find out what was in their heart. To see if they would obey the voice of God when the trials and temptations came. Unfortunately Israel failed the test and so most of them were destroyed by the hand of God.

10) Does God destroy those who believe in God and have confidence in their faith? There are examples where God does destroy such people. One example we cover is in Numbers chapter 16 regarding the rebellion at Korah. In this episode we will look at some foundational truths that many people have backwards. We will start will looking at Israel and what happened to them. Everything that happened to them was written down for our instruction.

The NT tells us that the OT scripture and events that happened to Israel was written for our instruction. We briefly look at 1 Corinthians chapter 10, Hebrews CH 2-4, and Romans CH 11. The bible says Israel had the same good news preached to them. They failed to find favor with God or enter into God's rest because of disobedience. They still had a hard heart and continued in sin. The bible [NT] warns Christians today to not fall or get broken off by falling the same example of disobedience. Even though they were a people who were God's first born son, redeemed by the blood of the lamb, experienced the salvation of the LORD being delivered out of Egypt, a people who believed and feared the LORD. Then why did God destroy most of them? Why did He forsake them? What happened? The couldn't stop stumbling and they couldn't escape the snare of sin. They didn't have a new heart. This is discussed very clearly in Part 2 in Deuteronomy.

We also address the follow questions that many people get wrong because they don't know the full scripture. The devil seeks to get people to believe in part of the scripture but not all of it. Some of the questions we will answer are as follows:

1) Does God reject or forsake His chosen people whom He has redeemed and brought salvation? Many people will say this cannot happen. The bible says it does happen and that it is conditional depending on those of His chosen people whom He will not forsake and those whom He will forsake. This is specifically discussed in Deuteronomy chapter 31 with many examples discussed before in earlier books.

2) What is God's proper name, His memorial name for all generations? It is used just under 7,000 times in the OT. God points this out in Exodus. His proper name is YHWH. The original Hebrew did not use vowels, so there is debate over what vowels are used as well as pronunciation. Many bibles record God's proper name as all capital LORD in the OT print.

3) Who threw down their staff in the presence of Pharaoh and it turned into a snake? If you answered Moses, then you would be incorrect. It was Aaron.

4) Who struck the Nile with their staff and turned it to blood? Stretched out their staff and caused the frogs to come upon the land, and later the plague of the gnats? If you answered Moses, then you would be incorrect. It was Aaron.

5) Does God say He has made man a "God"? If you answered "No", then you would be incorrect. He specifically states He has made Moses a God to Pharaoh and also made Moses a God to Aaron. In the episode on the Gospel of Acts, we discuss Jesus' response to the Jewish leaders in John chapter 10 where God calls the people "Gods" to whom the word of God came.

6) Who does God first speak to and communicate the 10 commandments? If you answered Moses, you would be incorrect. The answer is the entire nation of Israel.

7) Does God's loving kindness endure forever and is it unconditional? The first part is True, the second part is False. God tells us in Exodus 20:6 and in Deuteronomy that His loving kindness endures forever to those who love Him and keep His commandments. This is consistent with 1 John 2:3-4 By this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says he has come to know Him and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him ....

8) Does God blot people out of His book? If you answered No, that is not in line with scripture. There are several places in scripture that states and implies otherwise. One passage discussed in this episode is in Exodus 32:33.

9) Why did God test and bring trials on Israel? To find out what was in their heart. To see if they would obey the voice of God when the trials and temptations came. Unfortunately Israel failed the test and so most of them were destroyed by the hand of God.

10) Does God destroy those who believe in God and have confidence in their faith? There are examples where God does destroy such people. One example we cover is in Numbers chapter 16 regarding the rebellion at Korah. In this episode we review the journey of Charity to find Truth. She initially was convinced in her mind she was a Christian. When she first heard the full truth she felt and thought it was some form of a cult religion and she ignored it. Through a series of events, she listened to the episode on James chapter 1 and followed along in her bible. She was convicted of the things she heard and read in the bible and noted differences in what she had been taught. This caused her to continue to listen to episodes and pouring her time into reading her bible and examining scripture. God continued to work in her life and she received a new heart, the spiritual baptism promised by Christ. Along the way there were doubts that she had to overcome. Listen to her testimony of accepting the full truth and receiving of a new heart!

What does the bible say on how we have confidence with God? We will look at God's word to see why people have a confidence in God. We will look at what God's word says about how we know that we have come to know God. The theme of what is revealed by God's word is the proof is in our walk with God. Not just our walk, but the thoughts of our heart or conscience. We will also look at examples of people who have a false confidence in God.

We will look at the examples that Paul gives of his own life (Acts, 2 Corinthians) as well as the book of Romans, Hebrews, 1 Peter, and 1 John.

In this episode we will discuss several topics from the book of Colossians. A major topic is whether or not Christ is in you. How do you know that Christ is in you? We will see that if Christ is in you, then you are to walk in a worthy manner. What does that look like? That we are to be walking in Christ. We look at other passages of scripture to see how we are commanded to walk. Paul warns about deceptions that were being taught. He emphasizes that Christ was filled with all the fullness of deity and that we also have been filled with this fullness (2:9-10). Paul then explains how this happened. We have to be circumcised by God and baptized with Christ...that is, to receive a new heart, to be born again, receive the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately, just like the Galatian church, who were turning their freedom into various forms of slavery; whether of traditions or to sin, the same things appeared to be happening with the Colossians. He reprimands them to not submit themselves to traditions of men (2nd half of chapter 2) or to fall into sin (chapter 3).

There are too many people who continue to compare and justify their life of weakness by referring to the life of the disciples before they received the promise of the Holy Spirit. Most people are unaware of what Jesus says about them and the many rebukes. They were rebuked for having a hard heart, lacking understanding, having eyes and ears that could not see and hear, lacking faith, doubting, not believing. This was the same even after Jesus was raised from the dead. Why do you want to be this person? But there is a reason for this weakness they displayed in their lives. They had not yet received the promise of the Holy Spirit. We do not want to be a people who still lack understanding and have a hard heart (listen to episodes on God requires a New Heart). These people don't enter into the kingdom of heaven. Praise God the disciples were changed from the old man to the new man by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost after Jesus' ascension. Find out more of the truth of what God's word says as we explore the gospels starting in Mark and looking at the other gospels and the beginning of the book of Acts.

In this episode, we find out how people found favor with God and were pleasing to Him before the Law ever existed. We will look at the life of Adam, Cain, Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Israel before the law was given. We will look at why God fulfilled His promise to Abraham. You may be surprised of the conditions attached. We will not only look at the OT passages but also the NT passages that reference these men, including passages from 1 John, Hebrews, 2 Peter, James, and Jude.

As we look at the word of God we will see that God does not desire the sacrifice of burnt offerings or the blood of bulls and goats. What God has always desired is for us to obey His voice. We will explore the passages in the Old Testament which discusses how God wants obedience. Some of the passages we will look at are listed below:

1 Samuel ch 10 and 15: We will look at the life of Saul. Even though he received the holy spirit and a changed heart from God, Saul didn't continue in obedience. Saul still referred to the LORD as his God, still desired to service and worship God, thought he was being obedient; but then God told Saul what He thought. In the end God rejects Saul, removes His Spirit and gives Saul and evil spirit. We find out that to disobey the voice of God is no different than divination or idolatry.

Psalm ch 40, 51, 101: We will look to see that God desires us to do His will. We need a new heart and spirit to be able to do this.

Isaiah ch 1: God rejects the worship and prayer of Israel. He refers to them as sons whom he has brought up, the problem is Israel didn't respond to the discipline of the LORD. God wants to reason with them and make their sins white like wool and snow. But they must consent and obey God. He doesn't want their sacrifices of animals, but their obedience from the heart.

Jeremiah ch 7: Again we find out that God doesn't want their customary sacrifice but what He has always required including what he told them before the 10 commandments were even given. To obey His voice and walk in all the way He commands them.

Mathew 9:13, 12:7; Hosea: Jesus tells the people they need to learn what this statement means "I desire compassion and not sacrifice." We will explore the book of Hosea to understand more of what this passage means.

Did you know that Peter said there was one thing we must remember and be able to recall at anytime after Peter's death? This one thing is how we guarantee entrance into the kingdom of heaven. It seems fitting that this is the one thing we are to always remember. What could be more important than this? Yet, most people have never heard this the message Peter says we must always remember.

He first tells us we must become partakers of God's divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world by lust. After this he says we are to now live in the qualities of this faith and the divine nature that we now posses. If we continue to practice these things, we are told we will never stumble and in this way will enter into the eternal kingdom.

We are then warned about false teachers and prophets who teach blasphemes and heresies. We are not initially told specifically what they are, but God's word tells us what is true. The truth is God knows how to rescue the godly from temptation and to keep the unrighteousness under punishment for the day of judgement. He gives 3 specific examples to explain this statement.

God then talks about those who deceive with false words and uses the example of Balaam. Many people don't know that Baalam believed in God and obeyed God outwardly. The problem is God looks at the heart. So even though Baalam obeyed the voice of God outwardly, God was against him because of his inward desires that are revealed in 2 Peter ch 2. We also look as the example referenced in Numbers ch 22.

We review what happens to heaven and earth at the end of the age (destroyed with fire), the application of the thief in the night, and the fact Jesus's will come back to gather the saints at the end of the tribulation when he destroys the man of lawlessness (AntiChrist) at his appearing in 2 Thes ch 2.

We are left with the final instructions in chapter 3. A command to be diligent to be found by the Lord in peace, spotless, and blameless. A warning to be on our guard against the false teachings by those who distort the scripture.

Do you know that God has called us for the purpose to suffer just as Jesus suffered. The theme of suffering starts in the beginning through the end of the book. But it just isn't suffering, it is how we suffer. God makes it very clear that if you are still committing sin and suffer for Christ, then you find NO favor with God. But if you suffer as Christ suffered, committing no sin, no deceit in you mouth ... ; then you WILL find favor with God.

Below are some of the points discussed in 1 Peter.

We are sanctified by the Holy Spirit to obedience in Christ (1:2)
We are to be born again to a living hope, a salvation not revealed until the revelation of Jesus (1:3-5)
We rejoice in trials, because we have a proof of faith that endures the testing of fire as is found to be with glory and honor (1:6-7)
We are now obedient children no longer walking in our former lusts (previous life of ignorance) (1:13)
We are now Holy in ALL our behavior just as God is Holy (1:14)
In obedience to the truth, we have been purified and now love with sincerity from the heart (1:22)
All malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander has been put aside (2:1)
We are to be living stones (like Christ), a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices ACCEPTABLE to God (2:5)
Warning to cease from all fleshly lusts (sin) that wages war against the soul (2:11)
Suffering without sin finds favor with God (2:19-20)
We have been called for the purpose to suffer with NO sin, NO deceit in our mouth, NO reviling, NO uttering threats. The same example Christ demonstrated. (2:21-23)
Jesus died for our sins so that we might DIE to sin, and NOW LIVE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS (2:24)
God desires us to be clothed with the hidden person of the heart, the imperishable quality of a quite and gentle spirit. (3:4)
Those who inherit the blessings of God must: Keep their tongue from evil, keep their tongue from speaking deceit, must turn away from evil, must do good, must seek peace and pursue it. For God is toward the righteous and against those who still do evil. (3:10-12)
We are blessed if we suffer for the sake of righteousness, keeping a good conscious, and suffer according to the will of God (3:14-17)
Baptism is receiving a good conscience (good heart) from God. (3:21)
We are to arm ourselves with the same purpose as Christ sufferings: The one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. We now live the rest of our life no longer for the desires/lusts of men but the will of God (4:1-2).
If you suffer as Christ, then you are blessed (4:12-16)
If it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, then what do you think will happen to the sinner (4:18)

In this episode we will discuss what God's word says about speaking in tongues (Spiritual gift of ministry). However, we are not going to just stop there, we are also going to look at the earthly tongue and what God says if you still have an unbridled earthly tongue (indicator if you were ever born of the Spirit, whether or not you have a good heart or still have the bad heart).

Gift of Tongues (gift of ministry)

I have heard the following statements used before:

Speaking in tongues is the proof you have the Holy Spirit
If you don't speak in tongues you haven't been baptized in the Holy Spirit
Speaking in tongues and the other gifts were only before we received the bible, we don't need them anymore
You just need to practice and become comfortable with speaking in toques
Corporate worship in tongues is biblical

The question is are the above true or false?

We will look at what God says about 'tongues.' We will examine the recorded events people actually speaking in tongues. I am aware of 3 accounts all in the book of Acts. Acts chapter 2, 10, and 19. We will also look at 1 Corinthians chapter 12-14 which discusses and provides us with the instruction we should be using to formulate most of the doctrine on tongues.

Below are some of the points that will be discovered as we look at scripture:

Speaking of tongues in Acts chapter 2 was speaking in a known language of the people that were visiting from many nations and were at Jerusalem at the time to worship God. Many of the different specific languages they were speaking in is recorded in Acts ch2. In addition, they were declaring of the mighty works of God.
Tongues is a gift for ministry, all from the same Spirit
Man does not get to choose what gift of ministry he receives from God. God is the one who decides what gift each person receives. (1Corinth 12:11,18,24,28)
God specifically gives DIFFERENT gifts to the saints so that the body will be composed of different members. God argues against everyone being the same member (or same gift) and also argues against people from saying because you are not the foot you are not part of the body or not the hand therefore not part of the body. NO, people who say if you don't speak in tongues therefore you are not part of the body speak in ignorance. (1 Corinth 12:14-23)
God DOES NOT give every person the same gift. He specifically says not everyone will be an apostle, prophet, teacher, miracle worker, healer, or tongues. (1 Corinth 12:29-30)
Being baptized in the Spirit (Spiritually baptized with Christ) is discussed in Romans chapter 6 (listen to the Romans ch6 episode). When we are baptized into the Spirit or born again, the same work is performed in every saint. They receive a new heart. The body of sin is put to death and a new man is made alive. This happens in everyone. In addition to being born as a child of God and being filled with all the fullness of God (See episode on Ephesians ch 2-5), we are also given additional spiritual gifts of ministry to build the temple or body of Christ (adding souls to the kingdom of heaven).
In 1 Corinthians chapter 13, it discusses why if you don't have "love" then even if you have all these other gifts, YOU ARE NOTHING. If you don't have "love", then you life PROFITS YOU NOTHING. We discuss what it means to have love. Reviewing the passages in Galatians 5:13-26 and Romans 13:8-12.
God commands there be order and edification during church gatherings. The following commands are given for speaking in tongues. 1) at the most only 3 people are allowed to speak, 2) only 1 person can speak at a time, 3) there must be an interpreter or all are to remain silent. (1 Corinth 14:27-28)

Sadly, many people get hung up in the argument over tongues (Spiritual gifts) and don't realize the more important topic on whether or not they still have the unbridled earthly tongue. We discuss the following points on this topic:

Indicators of what Jesus taught if you have a good\bad heart. Your thoughts proceed forth from your heart. Eventually your tongue will reveal the content of your heart. (Mathew 12:33-37, 15:11-20, , Luke 6:43-46, Mark 7:18-23; listen to the episodes of the New Heart).
If you cannot bridle your tongue, you are living in deception and the deception is in your heart. (James chapter 1 and 3. Listen to the episodes).

In this episode we will look at the relationship of the husband and wife and how it relates to the relationship of the church and Christ.

We will then review what God says is the purpose of why we are to put on the armor of God and how God describes this armor. The armor is what allows us to stand firm and to overcome.

In this episode we continue in Ephesians to understand what God does in the present to fulfill his predestined plan of using being saved by His grace that we discussed in the previous episode (Ephesians/John Ch 1). We are created for good works which God prepared before creation. So how does this work? Well first we need to become a partaker of the Holy Spirit (the promise) of God. God explains how we, our bodies) are a temple that He dwells inside of us. Not only us, but Jesus, the prophets, apostles, and all the saints are a part of this temple. God's word further explains that it was the Fathers will, grace, power, and Spirit that strengthens us in the inner man. So we can be filled up to ALL the FULLNESS of God! We are now to walk and live in a worthy manner as we walk according this the power of God working inside of us and performing works beyond what we can even imagine.

Continuing in Ephesians, later in chapter 4 we are told 3 things that happen for a person to be added to the body of Christ. They must come to the 1) unity of the faith, 2) knowledge of the son of God, and 3) the perfect man (same measure and stature of the fullness of Christ himself). Those who come to Christ are no longer to be "infants", those that have not been born again but are tossed by waves and driven about by the wind, by false doctrines of man.

Further in ch 4, instruction is given to "infants", to no longer walk as the Gentiles walk in the futility of their mind, darkened in their understanding, and excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance within them, because of the hardness of their heart. We are told we need to be changed from the old man to the new man which is now in the likeness of God in holiness and righteousness of the truth. The remainder of chapter 4 and into chapter 5 then gives us a string of imperative commands that we are no longer to have these former sins in our life anymore. This is consistent with the message of 2:1-3. We are told to be imitators of God and Jesus. We are warned that if we continue to live in the previous way of life we will not inherit the kingdom of God. Those that are still "infants" are commanded to "awake sleepers and rise from the dead" and to turn to Christ and be filled with the Spirit.

In this episode we will look at God's plan of redemption that He tells us was already established before the world and we were created. How does God explain and use foreknowledge and predestination in Ephesians chapter 1? What does it mean when scripture tells us that Jesus was the life that existed in the Word in the beginning? Did you know that God says Jesus was the first creation of God?

We will also point out how God explains the statement "By grace you have been saved through faith, it is the gift of God, not of yourselves ..." Many people don't understand the context of this verse as well as what it means to be sealed (or marked) with the Holy Spirit of God. They might be familiar with the single verse that has been proclaimed to them, but are unaware of the verses surrounding these statements that gives us the context to have true understanding from God.

In this episode we will look at the first recorded teachings of the apostles following the receiving of the Holy Spirit. What did they teach? What did they say about God and about Jesus? It is important to understand what God says about the administration of the mystery of God so that we can put our faith and believe in the full promise and fulfillment of what God wants to do in us.

We will confirm the truths as well as the expose the lies of what people say about God and Jesus using God's word as the standard. People may be surprised to see that God's word clearly teaches and proclaims that Jesus has a God. His God is the Father. This is true both before, during, and after his ministry on the earth. We will reveal and discuss why Jesus says that God (the Father) declares all of those through whom the word of God comes are 'gods.' You may say how can this be, and does Jesus actually say such things. Listen and find out what God's word declares. Truths that you may have never heard, because there are many not proclaiming the full truth of God. It is the truth that sets us free!

In this episode we cover all six chapters of the book of 1 Timothy. There are warnings both in the beginning, middle, and end of this book with respect to false teaching and warnings against falling away. Other topics covered in this book are:

The goal of the instruction to Timothy included love from a pure heart and a good conscience.
The law is for sinners not the righteous.
Paul was shown mercy because the life of sin he formerly lived was committed in ignorance.
There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Women making a claim to godliness are to clothe themselves with good works and are not permitted to teach or exercise authority over a man.
Qualifications of elders and deacons.
Godliness is profitable for all things
Instruction to widows and elders
We are to keep the commandment without stain and blameless until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

At the end of the podcast there was a question regarding the use of a word in the Kings James Version vs NAS in 1 Tim 6:21. "erred" vs "gone astray". This word is the same word used in 2 Tim 2:18 which KJV uses the word "erred" as well. To give context to the word "erred" it is referring to Hymenaeus and Philetes, men who have "erred" or gone astray from the truth saying the resurrection had already happened and overturned (or destroyed) the faith of others. Hymanaeus was mentioned in 1 Tim 1:19-20 as one who had shipwrecked his faith and was handed over to Satan. earlier in 2 Tim 2:16 it says their talk is worldly and empty and it only leads to further ungodliness. These aren't people who are serving Christ. They have fallen away and it is opposite of those who have the seal of the firm foundation of God discussed in 2 Tim 2:19.

In this episode we look at the book of 2nd Timothy. Sadly many people know a few passages from 2 Tim, a few of those are 1:7 and 3:16; yet the context and understanding of the message from God is missed entirely.

We will cover the danger that Timothy was in, he was drifting away from God, quenching the Holy Spirit, ashamed of Jesus Christ, and not suffering for the gospel. He is rebuked by Paul and exhorted to join in suffering for the gospel. We know in the past Timothy was faithfully serving from the previous books of the bible, but something had happened. This not only affected Timothy, but ALL of Asia had abandoned Paul. As you read, the principle isn't necessarily Paul being abandoned, but the gospel truth for which Paul was imprisoned in Rome. Not only was Timothy being affected, but other names previously mentioned as serving Christ (Demas and Titus).

We will also examine what the seal of the firm foundation of God is, that unfortunately MOST people have never heard preached. God will explain what it means to be a holy vessel that is sanctified and to pursue righteousness with a pure heart. This is contrasted with those who are still deceived and and still do the will of the devil. They still need to find the knowledge of the truth and come to their senses. God says they are still ensnared and do the devil's will.

I have heard many people define what they think Grace is, but I have never heard anyone define grace the way God defines it in Titus chapter 2. In this episode we will look at the entire book of Titus (chapter 1-3). The following topics will be covered:

The knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness

Why did Paul leave Titus in Crete? To set things in order and appoint elders.

Qualifications of an elder, they are to be blameless as well as other qualities. We also look at 1 Timothy chapter 3.

The 2 commands to the elder, to exhort with sound doctrine and refute those who contradict the sound doctrine.

Examine what God says about those confess to know God, but God says these people are rebellious, have empty words, are deceived, turn people away from the truth, and are still defiled on the inside.

Review the examples of how older men, older women, young men and servants are to live their life.

Discuss passages that explains the basis of why God says women are not to teach men in the church. (1 Corinthians chapter 11, 1 Timothy chapter 2)

Review what God defines as the Grace of God as well as how Paul and others formerly lived, but not anymore.

The Holy Spirit is what transforms us by the new birth.

In the final chapter of Hebrews, we are reminded of some examples of how the people of God are to be living. We are to imitate the conduct and faith of those who were before us (reflect on the examples of faith from chapter 11). God is the one who equips us for every good work to do His will, those things which are pleasing in His sight.

There are many people who misapply Hebrews 12:1 in an attempt to justify people having a besetting sin. There is also confusion on what it means to be disciplined by God. In this chapter we read how God disciplines a son to bring him into obedience. When this happens, God changes his paths from crooked to straight. The son is then able to yield the fruit of righteousness. We examine Isaiah chapter 1 and Deuteronomy chapter 8 with respect to God disciplining a son. Those who are illegitimate sons, never come into obedience. The remaining half of the chapter warns and reminds us of the same warning at the beginning of Hebrews chapter 2. That we must be careful not to drift away from the truth that we have now heard for God is a consuming fire. We are also reminded of the example of Esau. When Esau later sought to inherit the blessing, he was rejected and there was no place for repentance even though he sought it with tears.

In this episode we look at Hebrews chapter 11 and some passages in Genesis to examine the faith of the life examples God provides us. One of the principles revealed of faith is to put your complete trust in the word of God and to not doubt, but being so convinced we are assured of the hope of what God says even though it is unseen. Do we consider ourselves as belonging to a different kingdom? Do we have a faith that results in obedience to God's word?

In this episode we will look at Hebrews chapter 10 as it discusses how the law can make nothing perfect nor can it cleanse our conscience or heart. The law is unable to allow someone to do the will of God. These are the contrasts that are made between the law vs the new covenant in Christ. We also discuss the warning regarding those who were previously sanctified by the sacrifice of Christ that if they continue in sin, they will only receive of the fury and judgement of God who will consume them. We must continue to endure and not throw away our confidence which has great reward or shrink back to the destruction of our soul. We also examine the book of Jude and the false teachings that were warned against.

In this episode we will look at why Jesus was appointed a high priest and the difference between his priesthood and the Levites. We will examine why God says about how the law could not bring about perfection, but something else is able to make the worshiper perfect in conscience. During this episode we will look briefly at the instruction God gave with respect to sin in the OT and whether or not all sins were able to be forgiven with the sin offering. We will also look at the new covenant in Christ which is quoted from Jeremiah chapter 31 as well as see that Jesus only died for the sins committed under the first covenant. This is consistent with other books we have been reading that state once we have been born again or baptized in the Spirit, we live for God abiding in the light and no longer living a life as a slave to sin.

Many people believe and claim to be part of the New Covenant in Jesus Christ, but don't really understand or know what this means. The book of Hebrews refers to this new covenant that Jesus is the mediator of in the book of Hebrews chapters 8-10 and Jeremiah chapter 31 is quoted when referring to this covenant. However, there is a lack of teaching and understanding of why this covenant was given.

Hebrews 8:6 refers to Jesus as the mediator of a better covenant

Hebrews 8:8-12 quotes Jeremiah 31:31-34 and discusses the problem with the first covenant that the people didn't continue in the covenant, so God did not care for His people. So God said He will put His laws into their minds and write them on their hearts.

Hebrews 10:1-9 discusses how the first covenant could not make the the worshiper perfect, so Jesus came to do what God always desired; To do the will of God. God takes away the first (sacrifices) to establish the second (ability to Do the Will of God).

As we look at Jeremiah, we will see that God has always desired and required obedience to His voice. He has not desired sacrifices of animals. The problem is the stubborn and unrepentant heart. God is willing to forgive their sins and remember their sins no more. But the issue of the heart must be addressed.

Jeremiah explains why God will remember certain people's sins and hold it against them to judge and destroy. He also discusses those who God will forgive and no longer remember their sins. This covenant is directly given to Israel and Judah, but it is also extended to Gentiles and this is the also what is referred to in the book of Hebrews.

We will review God's word to see what God says about the heart. Did you know we need to get a new heart? The bad heart has been the problem since the very beginning. God speaks about the problem repeatedly in the scriptures. God wants to do something to fix the problem. Do you know what God does? Do you know what the result is? We will look at various passages from the Old Testament to look at what God says about the heart. There is a work that only God can perform through the Holy Spirit. The outcome is LIFE! Christ our high priest learned obedience through the things which he suffered, and having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey him the source of eternal life (Hebrews 5:8-9). In light of this truth, we are warned not to be dull of hearing and infants. Come find out what this means and what are the exhortations given to this group of people who were in danger of following the example of Israel from Hebrews chapters 3 & 4 who were unable to enter the rest of God.

We will look at all the chapters of Paul's letter to the Galatians and cover several topics. One of those topics is what does God say it means to be an infant in Christ. Many people use the term, but not everyone has the same definition. As we look at God's word we will find that to be an infant in Christ is to be someone who is still searching for Christ, is a slave of the world, has not been set free, and has not received the Holy Spirit of God. Those who do not enter the kingdom of heaven vs those who reap eternal life

In this episode we will look at the beginning of the book of Hebrews. The books starts off by establishing that Jesus is greater than the angels. One of the basis for establishing this fact is to support the opening point of chapter 2 which states: "For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard so that we don't drift away from it." A warning is then followed up with regards to the danger of what happened to people who didn't obey the word of God spoken through angels, then what do you think will happen if you don't listen to Christ. The chapter finishes with establishing that Jesus has been made high priest on our behalf. These two chapters help lay the ground word to lead into the follow on chapters.

Hebrews Ch 3-4: WARNING - DO NOT harden your HEART!

God's word speaks specifically to those who belong to the house of Christ, who have become partakers of the heavenly calling. There is a warning to the Christians not to harden your heart. God's word uses the example of Israel and how they continued in sin and how sin hardens the heart. God charged their disobedience as unbelief. We are then warned several times not to follow the same example of disobedience which is unbelief. Listen to how God explains these warnings and the exhortation given to believers.

Remember, only God can lead us to abide in holiness and to walk in light. It is not about us feeling guilty or trying. It is about having faith in God to change our hearts and our desires and for God's Holy Spirit to now lead us in this life of freedom. God does not break off the branch (Christians - branches, Christ as the vine) if we commit a sin. But if we continue in sin and it dwells in our heart/thoughts; then that is an indication that maybe the Spirit hasn't completed the work in our heart and we need the Holy Spirit to complete the work and to lead us in God's power.

As the book of Romans comes to a close, Paul reminds us why he was made an apostle (to bring about the obedience of faith). Before this, the topic about eating certain foods and regarding certain days above another are discussed.

This episode will look at God's word of what we are instructed to do now that we have become a partaker of the rich olive tree (branch grafted in, as discussed previously in chapter 11). We will discuss how God urges us to now be (actively, continually) a holy living sacrifice and to prove the will of God in our lives; all that which is good, acceptable and perfect. We must live/love without hypocrisy, hate evil, and cling to what is good. In summary, overcome evil with good.

We will look at what God says it means to love your neighbor as yourself. See if your definition of what it means to love your neighbor is aligned with what God says it means. God also tells us what it means to fulfill the law. We will briefly discuss what God describes as putting on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Explore the true context of John 3:16 as we look at chapter 3 and how God explains what it means to believe in His word. Many people don't know that John 3:16 is a conditional verse and many don't know the significance of the preceding verses or the verses that follow. In this episode we will look also at 1 John, Luke chapter 8, Acts chapter 19, and the remaining chapters of John. The bible gives examples of people who put their trust or belief in something, but because they didn't understand or know the full truth or all the words; they end up having a false belief. Come explore the word of God and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to believe!

In this episode, I share how I thought that I was saved, but in reality I was deluded; still a slave to sin. At the age of 9, I confessed Jesus as Lord with my mouth, I believed in my heart that God raised him from the dead, I was water baptized. I had a zeal to serve. I prayed regularly. I met my wife in the church. We raised our daughter in the church. I held positions of leadership in what I now call 'churchianity;' outwardly I had all the signs and language of being 'Christian.' But inwardly, I was still a slave to food as a glutton, lust, and later to alcohol. Everyone in my home groups and other leaders I knew had their sins they struggled with and I was taught that was normal, so that's what I thought and taught. But inwardly, I knew there was something wrong and my life wasn't getting better, it was collapsing. I had not received the Holy Spirit and been indwelled and equipped to be free of sin. This is my story.

Isaiah is known for some of the following phrases:

1) "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool." (Is 1:19)

2) "I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins." (Is 43:25)

3) "I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you." (Is 44:22)

4) "... and He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon." (Is 55:7)

These are great promises and give us hope. However, most people do not understand the context, the conditions, or the commands associated with these statements. These promises were written to Israel, but they also apply to gentiles as the same promises have been extended to all the nations.

We will look at the prophesies of Christ that were foretold several hundred years before his death. Details associated with his death, how he would be treated, and how he would bear our sins in his death.

We will start in Isaiah chapter 1 and look at all these promises as well as the continued commands to become a partaker of this blessing. God explains clearly in His word what are the conditions to his promises as well as what is the result of those who enter into His promise. Those who are not changed face severe consequences from God. Get out your bible and follow along as we look at the redemptive promise of God and how we enter into this promise.

In this episode, we discuss some passages of scripture that use the word perfect [Teleios - Strongs Greek # 5046]. Join us as we explore uses of the word as well as examples where God's word contrasts someone who is perfect and someone who is not perfect.

In this episode we review Christ's assessment of the churches. There were many problems in the churches. Some people think this is normal, many do not know what Jesus says to those churches who have problems. Find out what Jesus says about them, what he commands them to do, and what he says the consequences will be based upon their response. Did you know not everyone in these churches receives a blessing? The plan in the beginning was to discuss when Jesus would come back for his second coming. We ended up running out of time. One of the key passages we were going to review along with others were those from the books of Thessalonians. In 1 Thes chapter 4:13 the people are told not to worry about those who have died, not to be like the rest of the world who doesn't have hope. Why? Because those who are in Christ have a hope of the resurrection from the dead when Christ comes back. This is explained in 1 Th 4:14-18. Then in the book of 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, the people where then concerned that they missed the 2nd coming of Christ (the Rapture - gathering to Christ, 1 Th 4:14-18). We are told not to worry or be deceived by those saying Christ has already come to gather us. We are then told starting in 2 Th 2:3-8 when Jesus will come back to gather us. The man of lawlessness (commonly referred to as the antichrist) must come first (we know this doesn't happen until the middle of the 7 year tribulation period). Verse 8 then tells us when the man of lawlessness will be destroyed, at the appearing of Jesus. When we look at other scripture this occurs at the end, the last trumpet.

In this episode we explore what God's word says about the verb to sanctify and the verb to be saved. Many people teach sanctification is a process and that being saved is an event. But is this what the bible teaches, or do many people have it backwards? We will look at scripture which teaches that sanctification is an event completed in the past while being saved is a process until you complete your race, if you endure to the end.
Note: In the discussion of 1 Peter 1:2, it was stated the word "obey or obedience" is a verb. For verse 2 it is a noun with the preposition "into" obedience implying action. The same word (noun) is used again in 1 Peter 1:13 with an explanation of action that demonstrates obedience.

In this episode we look into the background of what it means to have the righteousness of faith. We will also gain a deeper understanding of the beginning of the chapter by looking at Deuteronomy to understand what it means to have the word of God in our heart and in our mouth.

Many know the verse Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. But they apply false interpretations and exclude the before and after passages. Most people don't even know the passages before and after this verse.

We will examine what appears to be some very difficult statements made in God's word. How can God choose to love one person and hate another? How can God choose to make a vessel for mercy and a vessel for wrath? One is then naturally inclined to ask: Then why does God still find fault with us, for who can resist the will of God. We will find truth as we go to God's word to illuminate the hidden truth from God's own explanation of what it means to be a potter in Jeremiah CH 18. We will also look at the promises and warnings of the branches that abide and don't abide in the vine (reference to people being the branches - grafted in or broken off).

Let's look at the life of a spirit filled individual through God's word. We will also review passages in 1 Corinithians 10, 2 Corinthians 5, 2 Timothy, and Ephesians 4.

Many people are unaware of the Law of the Spirit of Life. You see it is this law that was at work in Jesus Christ and is the law that is supposed to also be at work in us so that we can escape condemnation.

Can someone who serves God be accused by God of being an Adulteress? Who is able to bear fruit? What does someone's life look like when they come to God and desire to please Him, but they are still a slave to sin? Hear what God says about the topic.

We will do a summary review from chapter 1 through chapter 6 as a refresher and then get into what God has to say in chapter 7. Chapter 7 starts around 25min into the podcast.

Every person is guided by their thoughts each day. Our thoughts are shaped by our experiences and teachings. But God says our thoughts are not His thoughts and our ways are not His ways. How do we know if we are being fully led by the thoughts and words of God or if deceptive words have crept in and are deceiving us?

We will examine incorrect conclusions many people make with respect to thinking they are a 'Christian.' Praise God, we have His word to expose a common deception people fall into thinking they have peace with God, so that we can escape from this deception and abide in truth.

We will be covering passages from several chapters in both Isaiah (Ch 54-Ch 59) and Jeremiah (Ch 7-8 and Ch 23). The following topics will be discussed: 1) God rejects the person who: seeks Him daily, delights in God's ways, someone who does good, does not forsake God's ways, seeks just decisions from God, delights in nearness to God, conducts fasts before God, humbles themselves before God. WHY? Because of SIN! 2) we must be taught of God, our ways and thoughts are not God's ways and thoughts, 3) God calls us to stop wasting our money on food and drink that cannot satisfy, but to come to Him for water and food without cost that will satisfy, 4) Who receives the blessings of God, 5) Why can God NOT SAVE or NOT HEAR? 6) God commands his prophet to stand in the gate of the Lord's House and to confront all the people of the nation who are going to worship God. To command the people to stop trusting in deceptive words, but to repent. 7) The command given to Israel before burnt offerings and sacrifices. 8) God's last resort is to REFINE His people. What does this mean? God explains how He will refine the people by destroying the sinners so that they are no more, so that only the righteous remain. 9) God exposes false prophets/teachers.
