Do you ever feel like your life is out of control and you know you need guidance, but you don’t know where to start? I felt this way a year ago, so I dove deep into self-help books desperate for any information that could provide some insight and relief in my chaotic world. I had a job that allowed me to listen to audiobooks while working so I was able to accomplish this much to my bank accounts chagrin. I realize not everyone has the time, money or patience to research and read these titles. I will be reading helpful books on life, love, career, finances, and spirituality. I will then microwave these stories for you into a quick synopsis of the books, making sure to cover all the key aspects. What are you waiting for? Go pop that bag of popcorn, settle in and get ready to change your life!
In this episode I microwave the third section of The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday. This he has titled Discipline of Will.
I want to say real quick that I am sorry for my mispronunciations. I should of looked them up beforehand. But I’m sure you know who I am talking about. I also could not think of the word captor when talking about Senator John McCain. I say kidnapper. And at the time I was like, this cannot be right, but my mind was blank otherwise. I decided to leave it for humor’s sake.
I also want to apologize for any audio issues. I am still learning how to edit the audio, and how to record efficiently. This has definitely been a big project but I am giving it 100% of my energy. And I will continue to improve. So stick with me! I will have a bonus episode tomorrow and its a good one! Don’t forget to check back and listen to that one. Thank you all.
Now here are the quotes from this section of the book.
BUILD YOUR INNER CITADEL- “If they faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”. PROVERBS 24:10
ANTICIPATION- “Offer a guarantee and disaster threatens”. ANCIENT INSCRIPTION AT THE ORACLE OF DELPHI
THE ART OF ACQUIESCENCE- “ The fates guide the person who accepts them and hinder the person who resists them”. CLEANTHES

PERSEVERANCE- “Gentleman I am hardening on this enterprise. I repeat, I am now hardening towards this enterprise”. WINSTON CHURCHILL
SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF- “A man’s job is to make the world a better place to live in, so far as he is able-always remembering the results will be infinitesimal-and to attend to his own soul”. LEROY PERCY
MEDITATE ON YOUR MORALITY- “When a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully”. DR. JOHNSON
PREPARE TO START AGAIN- “Live on in your blessings, your destiny’s been won. But ours call us on from one ordeal to the next”. VIRGIL

PREPARE FOR NONE OF IT TO WORK- “In the meantime, cling tooth and nail to the following rule: not to give in to adversity, not to trust prosperity, and always take full note of fortune’s habit of behaving just as she pleases”. SENECA

The Japanese Art of Making Peace with your Money.
Is your money smiling? Or is your money crying?
Find out on this episode of happy money by Ken Hoda, where I microwave the first two chapters.
Our feelings, thoughts and beliefs we have around money create our money blueprint. Our money blueprint is the foundation on which our relationship with money stands on. If this is a poor foundation, we will have a bad relationship with money and this will reflect in our financial situations.
There are a few typical money spending personalities. I discuss what those are and you can decide for yourself what pattern you are currently operating in. If you feel like sharing, you can share either on my Facebook page or by emailing me at mircrowavedselfhelp@gmail.com.
We can revise or upgrade our money blueprint to transform our relationship with money.
Do you desire a better financial future? Make sure to check out this episode where I dive in and tell you exactly how you can do that, according to Ken Hoda.
Thank you

Also, thanks to Tim Rayburn. I used random facts from his book More True Facts that Sound like BS.
HI! Welcome to my first life story!
I recently went through a break-up. I am 39 years old and we had been together for a year a half. He is the first person I have loved, and been in love with. So this break-up was incredibly hard on me. It devastated me.
However, I learned one of my greatest lessons that I have learned so far in life. The pain i experienced from this break-up taught me that I don’t need to buy things to be happy. Happiness is an inside job, and I had already had everything I needed. I was too busy not being in the present moment to realize it at the time.
So take a listen and sorry this one is not as pretty because I didn’t have an outline for a script, I just winged it. But its just simply me, sharing my heart.
If you need any support or advice, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
