We’ll also highlight the role payments is playing to grow industries such as iGaming, travel, eSports, trading, eCommerce, and more. And we’ll do this by connecting you with industry experts from across our business and the wider payments network, who will give their insights on the most important topics happening right now and in the future.
Episode 2 features Simon Chandramani, VP Business Development, Payment Processing Europe and Dan Stanbridge, VP Global Risk Governance discussing how we need to rethink payments for the travel industry.
Dan talks about how critical payments are to the sector’s recovery following Covid-19. He also explains why this is a good time to look for new payments partners and details how to build strong relationships between travel companies and acquirers.
Simon talks about how important it is at the moment for merchants and their payments partners to be openly discussing things like refunds and chargebacks. He also discusses how airlines and travel companies along with their acquirers need to understand the data behind payments, as well as having multiple security options available.
Providing payments globally for travel, airlines and cruise companies is a key strategy for Paysafe. The travel industry is very complex, and a one size fits all approach doesn’t work. Paysafe has specialized and experienced teams that supports the travel industry and with this deep experience comes expertise often not found with other acquirers.
Episode 1 features the CEO of US Acquiring for Paysafe, Afshin Yazdian discussing how Covid-19 has reshaped the landscape for U.S. small businesses.
Afshin talks about the challenges that small businesses have faced and continue to face due to Covid-19 such as the labor shortage, mandated protocols around masks and seating but he also sees incredible opportunities arising out of the pandemic.
To be competitive, Afshin believe SMBs must use data more efficiently and Paysafe is providing tools that will allow SMBs to quickly analyze data and make decisions. Future trends in the space include small businesses accepting alternative payments including crypto.
Paysafe is well positioned in the US small business space and Afshin talks about many of the verticals where Paysafe excels including digital marketing, hospitality, petroleum, and iGaming. Paysafe is the global leader in iGaming, and they continue to grow this segment of the market.
Afshin shares some of his views looking back on his first 12 months with Paysafe and also his vision and plan for the future.
