We all go through tough seasons in life. Seasons where we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. In the bible, a man by the name of Job went through arguably one of the toughest seasons anyone has had to face. Job lost everything except for his own life. But he never once blamed God, instead he leaned on the Lord and kept worshipping Him. Every season has a beginning and an end. But through these seasons, we are never forgotten or forsaken. God is with us every step of the way.
At some point in our lives, we have all fallen short in our walks with Jesus. We have done things we said we'd never do again, we have said one thing and then done the exact opposite with our actions. We have all fallen. But we cannot stay there. "For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again." No matter how many times we fall, we must continue to get back up and keep pursuing Jesus.
God is the God of all comfort. Whether we find ourselves walking through a dark season or stepping out on faith into uncharted waters, we all need comfort. We all need to have arms wrapped around us, telling us everything is going to be ok. And no one can do that like our God. Then we can share that comfort we received from God with others who are going through struggles in their life.
Coming out of COVID, we saw a drastic increase in the number of mental health issues all around the world. Whether it is fear, depression, or anxiety, the world needs peace now more than ever. And there is only one person who can give us peace, and that is the Prince of Peace himself. When we walk with God, we know that we can rest and not worry about the trials and triubulations that come our way. For He has already won the battle!
In this episode, Pastor Brandon asks a question that we have all asked at some point in our lives. What is my purpose? Simply put, we were designed by God, for God. When we wander through life, it can be miserable and frustrating. But when we walk with God and follow the instructions that He has given us; He will guide our steps and keep us on the right track and lead us to the calling He has placed on each of our lives.
Are you ready to receive? In this episode, Pastor Brandon asks a simple question. Are you ready to receive God's promises and blessings? We dive into a story, found in the book of Acts, where a lame beggar who interacts with Peter and John receives a miracle. A lot of times we can find ourselves stuck, but we can not settle there. God has a set time for all of us, and His timing is perfect. So we must remain strong, and remain on the path that God has laid out for us. And when we are faithful, God's blessings will flow. His promises will always reign true.
In this episode, Pastor Brandon talks about temptation and the three main tactics that the devil uses. The only way we can resist the devil is to have the word of God in our hearts and know His promises. The devil always attacks when we are at our weakest and most vulnerable, but through the power of God's word and promises, we can overcome.
This week, Pastor Brandon talks about one of the most vital elements in every believers life. Prayer. "To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."-Martin Luther. Prayer is what gives us the power and authority to overcome our trials and struggles in Jesus' name, but we have to be intentional in our prayers and make the time. No prayer means no power.
This week, Pastor Brandon dives deep into a subject that can be very difficult for a lot of us at times; and that is forgiveness. Un-forgiveness and grudges have the power to bind us and hold us captive. While forgiveness has the power to set us free. God forgives us, so why should we not do the same?
This week, Pastor Brandon is joined by another special guest! In this episode we talk with Heather Sides and get to learn more about her role in kids ministry. We get to learn about all the fun and exciting things that take place in her role and also how important it is to pour into that next generation so they can have a firm foundation to grow upon!
When life gets crazy, one of the hardest things for us to do is to slow down. In this episode, Pastor Brandon talks about how it is necessary for us to slow down in life sometimes. One of the best models of this is no other than Jesus Christ. Even though He was constantly teaching and performing miracles, He would always make time for people. So why do we often struggle with making time for Godly interruptions.
This week Pastor Brandon talks about a very important topic and that is attitude. There are a lot of things that we can't control in life, but there is one thing that we can control in response to those situations. Our attitude sets the stage for every area in our lives.
This week, Pastor Brandon dives into the story of Job. In this episode, we talk about how God sends trials our way to help mold us and prepare us into the people He has called us to be. We should not fall into the temptation of comparison in the midst of the trial, but we should lean closer into God and trust in Him and His word.
