This podcast is not for prudes or the faint at heart. I have always wondered when I would begin to actually "look and feel my age" well, it has happened - and it's not pretty! I've tried to hide it in every way possible. In Los Angeles, there is spoken discrimination against well . . . any woman over 35ish, a woman with extra weight, and non-Halle Berry looking women. After turning 61 last year (62 in Aug.) I can't help but refer to myself now as being "old and crusty." I can't help but compare my younger self's magnificence and beauty to what I have become. Those were the "good ole days" - but I wish I had known I was in "the good ole days" when I was actually in those days.My juices have dried up. Yep, the well has run dry. At 61 (62 in Aug.), everything has changed: the way people looked at me or didn't look at me at all. The way the delicate folds of my stomach hang over my pubic area. There was a time when I took great pleasure and pride in viewing my thick black patch of pubic hair - the way it curled and was perfectly shaped, soft, and evenly grown all around - now, my Bebe's bush ain't a bush no more. It's more like fine baby hair (I told you this wasn't for prudes or the faint at heart). My youthful body was magnificent - and what's made me sad today is that I didn't even know it! No one told me that. But as the heavy flap and folds of belly skin prevent me from even viewing it, what's even more depressing is I don't - even thinking about it - or have a desire to "re-activate" it. I MUST do SOMETHING ABOUT IT!Come on, take this journey with me as I explore remedies to being old and crusty and quicken myself once again into becoming magnificent and beautiful once again. In the words of the great Bonnie Raitt, "Life gets mighty precious when there's less of it to waste." This podcast explores aging from my point-of-view. Help me and possibly yourself to lubricate mind, body, and soul and reach acceptance enhance what IS and not morn the passing of my younger self.
