BIG BOYS LOVE JESUS The Thinkingman Talks is a podcast that continually highlights and discusses topics pertaining to having and building a relationship with God as a young person in today's world. It is a "light giving" podcast that presents the truth as backed up by the integrity of the Bible.
We survive on God's love for us, we can rely on it, but can He rely on our love for Him? As much as we trust Him, can He trust us?
We must love God enough to choose Him and stand there continually.
If we know that we are the sacrifice, we must know that we must offer the sacrifice ourselves also.
The acceptability of the sacrifice we offer is largely dependent on the willingness to do so. Jesus is the example, we must follow suit. 1 John 3:16
The sacrifice God has always truly required is you and I. Anything and everything else we give, must be out of this knowledge.
GOD IS INTERESTED IN YOU.

"This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise." - Isaiah 43:21
One of the most important lessons we need to hold on to as Christians is the fact that we are here for God; God is not here for us. It is important for us to internalize this simple truth as it will give us a new perspective of our walk with God. A perspective that it beyond needs and self ambition.
"Weeping may endure of the night...but joy comes in the morning" - Psalm 30:5.
The fact that the word "endure" is used means it very well may last longer than a literal night. However, the best thing about seasons is that they are temporary. You may not know how long that night lasts but what is certain is that morning is coming and it will come with JOY!!!!

Do you notice how in Matthew 5, the Bible goes from saying "The light" to "your light" when it in fact is talking about the same thing? What is the relationship between both and why is it important to our everyday lives?
How can John chapter 1 and Genesis chapter 1 be so related? How can they be so related to all other scriptures of the Bible? And how is they related to our everyday lives and circumstances?
Psalm 1:1 - 'Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly...'.
With everything we do, there will always be Godly counsel and ungodly counsel. Just like in a good land for wheat, there will still be weeds. We need discernment to navigate the counsel needed to be blessed.
This episode was born out of a real burden. A burden that led to a deep exploration of Matthew 6:33.
Have we really created a needs-based Christianity? If so, are our considerations of our needs bad? and what is the proper place of our needs in the context of our relationship with God?

On this episode, we discuss the treasures in Romans 8:28 and explore examples that give us a better understanding. It is not only important to understand what the scripture says, but we also need to, by God's grace and revelation, understand HOW and WHY "all things work together".

Such an amazing verse of the Bible. But, is there more to it that just being a definition? Does it perhaps dig deeper and tell us more of what God wants us to know about faith?
Could the Holy Spirit have also kept the secret to strong faith in that same verse?

In this walk of life, we often see a certain level of fruitfulness from some people and say "wow, that is grace!". But is it really? So often, we make it seem like God prefers some people over others or like whatever is available to some is not available to others. So what exactly is grace and what is the role of faith in its function?
Philippians 4:19 teaches us that the solution to anxiety is not answered prayers, the solution to anxiety is PEACE. Peace is the agreement between our soul and spirit.
The walk of faith is a process of taking steps in understanding. Without understanding what we have or what to do with what we have, we may never get the results we want.
God gives a revelation of faith as has never been told in this episode.
Faith begins not with trusting God's ability but trusting His willingness. The expression of God's power is secondary to the expression of His person, and His person is love.
Trust begins from knowing that not only will God fulfil His promise because He is able to do it, but because He is willing to do it; because He loves us.
In this episode, I tell my story - the story of the prodigal son according to Jesus' parable in Luke 15. This was my lost and found story and I'm hoping it can inspire anyone lost to return home to the Father.
The concept of success is something we might have to revisit in order to gain true peace and freedom from so many social pressures. When we define success by visible quantities like money, houses, cars, fame and so on, pressure is put on people to succumb to that definition by any means necessary. After all, no one wants to be a failure.
But what if there's a more accurate perspective we are not seeing???
This first episode is the very first part of our journey with Jesus. It's about the starting point of repentance and salvation. Receiving Jesus is how we begin the life to living like Him and finding fulfilment and this is a call to that walk.
One of the things I just learnt is that, if salvation was all about just making heaven, God won't risk leaving us here after we got saved.
Jesus was speaking to people who were living and breathing and He said ‘I have come that you may have life’.
So there’s a certain kind of life He wants us to have and to live that’s way beyond taking oxygen.
So after telling us to come to Him to give us rest, He tells us ‘take up My yoke and learn of Me’ cause He wants to teach us how to live that life.
A life of joy, a life of peace, a life of faith, hope, love, a life of purpose.
Trust me, big boys really do love Jesus.
And it’s out of that love that we need to learn how to live that life.
That’s what I’m trying to learn and I’m hoping you’d want to learn that with me.
