October 17th, 2023 my mawmaw took her last breath on this earth. I got the date wrong in the recording it's hard to remember exactly everything when you are trying to be strong and share your heart in a podcast. This wasn't easy for me to do but, I know it's a great way to honor my mawmaw. I pray that something I said helps you all to realize what is important.. and what truly isn't. Be present where your feet are planted. Make memories and take the photos. One day, just like I did you'll wish you had done more.

Yesterday, I lost a cousin to a tragic car accident unexpectedly and it really challenged me to live life with urgency. Giving each day my absolute all. Being present more and being the best me that I can be. I texted my biological father and told him I love him… Did I get a response?! NOPE.. but, on this podcast I will talk about what I learned from the experience.
Thank you Jessie Lee for being my business coach. Thank you for showing me what it means to be courageous, bold and live your life out loud. You showed me how to share my story and to BE BOLD, with holding nothing because, that is how I will reach people. You left such an IMPACT on this earth and I know you are smiling down from heaven so very proud. You kicked stage 4 cancers butt and made it look easy! We all miss you terribly but, it would be so selfish to bring you back and you endure the pain again. So we know we are promised to see you again one day in heaven! Soar high.
In todays podcast, God showed up and moved through the phone for so many of us myself included. So many of us are living busy but, not productive lifestyles. STOP getting caught up on the money.. instead create the memories. STOP worry about the snakes in your life.. it’s always the snakes who warn us about the others who are the most poisonous says the Lord. Get UP. Get moving! You’ve got this!!
I asked God what he'd like for me to say to y'all today and I believe that he said this. I pray that it sends you all a message of HOPE!
We get so busy in life with the hustle and bustle that we forget to slow down and be present with our family and friends.

James and I are both on a healing journey his is physical and mine is spiritual but, nevertheless we are both reminding to give ourselves grace and breathe trust God with the process. Faith ain't faith unless, faith is all you've got!

This is your sign that this too shall pass. I know you are going through it right now, I believe that we all are. However, this is your sign that you've got to get up and keep it moving. You can't sit in isolation forever... Get up. Praise your way out of this.
Tough questions lead to honest answers. Can you make it through the storm? Are you going to conquer it?
Today, I am discussing the Nashville TN school shooting and the Winston Salem NC school lockdown that took place shortly after. The truth is that we need love, support, hope, prayers and to come together to have the conversations that need to be had. Is it mental health issues? Is it misusing guns? Do we need carrying permits? Let's talk about this together that is compromise and that is what we need to do in order to find a solution.
It is NOT a reflection of either schools that were targeted they did everything that they knew to do to keep the staff and students SAFE. The truth is that attacks can happen anywhere. We need to be having the conversations with our children at home about gun safety, talk to them about how they are feeling and see how we can show up better for them. A sense of security and safety starts at home. We need to encourage our children and instill FAITH, HOPE and show them love.
School shootings are a tragedy, they are trauma and they leave us in shock. There is NO excuse for them. Together let's work to find a solution. I'm going to do my part, will you?
When I went to record this podcast I didn't really know what I would say, I didn't have notes beside me like I usually do.. I just went with the flow and I know this episode may step on your toes and if it does, I am sorry. I wish I would've had someone like myself in my corner when I needed wisdom the most and to know which way to turn, almost like confirmation.. If this episode challenges you, that isn't always a bad thing. Really listen to what I am saying and apply it to the areas that you feel challenged.

In order for us to truly be who God has intended for us to be sometimes we have to be pruned. He has to strip away those things that are not serving us.
