In this Katha/ Contemplative session on the Guru's Instruction, Bhagat Ravi Daas Ji gives us the Highest Teachings on the true meaning of Oneness and reveals the mystery of the "Near-ness" of God.
These Teachings contain the clearest Truth on Oneness, but at the same time in the Katha, we are made aware that to hear about and understand these Teachings is one thing, but to be the embodiment of it is something entirely different and we should not confuse one with the other.
Bhagat Ravi Daas Ji, in this Shabad gives us 4 beautiful analogies to help us to understand the roots of our believing in the illusion of separation.

In this fourth episode of the Understanding Gurmat Series, we look and explore the concept that some people have about whether it is enough to just be a good person without doing Naam Simran.
We will also explore the importance and need for Naam Simran from a spiritual perspective and karma theory.
Many of us, even as Sikhs, have come across different teachings about Spirituality. We have even applied these notions of Spirituality to Gurbani and have misunderstood what Guru Sahib is teaching us. Without understanding Sikhi through how the first Sikhs understood it, we have understood Gurbani to say what it has never said!
What does Guru Sahib say about Spirituality? This is what we explore in this series of online meetings called Spiritual Growth Through Gurbani. Every week we do veechar (contemplation) on one Shabad to understand Spirituality through the lens of Gurmat.

In this 3rd Episode of the Understanding Gurmat Series, we will be looking into the Miracle of Amrit, the Nectar of Immortality that was Blessed to us by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

In this episode, we discuss the importance of the Guru and the Greatness of the Guru in taking us out of ignorance.
This is the first episode of the new series called Understanding Gurmat. Gurmat is a combination of two words ‘Gur’ which means the Guru / Teaching and ‘Mat’ which means the lens through which you see the world. Therefore Gurmat means seeing the world through the lens of the Guru’s Teachings.
In this episode, we look at the importance of Jap (repetition of the Name of God) and its link to reading Gurbani (Teachings of the Gurus).
It is the intention of this series to explore all the different concepts in Spirituality through the eyes of the Guru.
By Guru’s Grace may this series be of help in serving the understanding of Gurbani.
This is the formal announcement in the form of a reflection of Living Baani changing it’s direction fully to Sikhi and Gurmat along the lines laid down by the Gurus, the Mahapurkhs (Saints, past and present), and Rehni and Kamayee-wale (those who live the life) Gursikhs.
I, myself, am just an ant sharing these crumbs that have fallen from the table of these great Gursikhs.
May Sangat Ji place their hands on this fool’s head and do ardaas and benti to Guru Sahib that he is able to be of some use to Sangat Ji through what is shared here by Guru Sahib’s Grace.
