David Hernandez is the founder of Body by Purpose and creator of the Elite Champion Fitness Academy, a company designed to equip individuals mentally and physically to fulfill their purpose in life.
As an international speaker, an athlete, a Certified Personal Trainer with the International Sports and Science Association (ISSA), a degree in Nutrition and Culinary Arts, with a specialty in Food Service Management, from Johnson and Wales University, and being in the fitness industry for over 15 years, he has gained the knowledge and expertise to help people from all walks of life and any fitness level, achieve their personal health and fitness goals.
The Elite Champion Fitness Academy focuses on creating champions out of people who may have thought of themselves as failures in the past. Some areas of focus include exercise, nutrition, mindset training, habits training, and much more. David prides himself on educating others on how to create generational health using strategy, lifestyle recalibration, and accountability, but above all else, focusing on two essential principles that most people leave out. It is identity and habits of thinking (mindsets) that create patterns of failure in people’s lives, and if they correct them, they can create change in any area of life. People are often stunned and amazed to find that there is a champion inside of them that they didn't know was even there, and when they change these two principles, they really learn how to tap into that champion within, and live undefeated. This is what ensures that the results people achieve are kept for the rest of their life.
David is also the host of the Listen You're not defeated Podcast, which focuses on encouraging people to overcome, and live Not Defeated, through the sharing of inspirational stories of triumph, thus improving people's lives and helping them achieve their life goals.

Everyone wants to get results and they know they need to do some action to get it but they can't seem to take the actions for long enough to get the results they wish they had.
See, the problem isn't that we can't stay consistent. The problem is actually that we are TOO consistent!
To change our results we must change who we believe we are because we will never take any actions that go against who we believe we are , at least not for long enough for them to become consistent.
Send in your questions in a voice note, I'd love to answer them!

The majority of us have a picture of what we want in our minds. The majority of us already know how to get what we want. Why aren't we doing it then? The reason is because we will have to burn off habits that we have now, and replace them with new ones. Simple in theory but tough in practice. It feels like killing a part of yourself because we have learned to identify with our habits. We have all heard that our habits make us who we are and it's true but the part that's left out is the part where they were supposed to tell us we make our habits first, then they make us who we are after that. We need to have a strong enough reason WHY we want the end result if we ever expect ourselves to go through the discomfort of changing our habits, which we now know is in actual fact changing our identity. There is no feeling in the world that can compare to going through the identity change necessary to get the result. The result actually becomes unimportant because in your mind, you have already gotten what you wanted. You don't want the result. You never did. You want whatever being able to identify as a person with the result , will make you feel. If you just develop the habit, you'll already have it!

How often should you train a muscle? There's all kinds of information out there about how many exercises to do per workout and how often to work each muscle but what is really the nost effective? What's the key focus point to work all other information around? The answer is you should train a muscle as often as possible but making sure you only do enough to induce growth and not damage!

In this episode I talk about the importance of making sure you're following thr advice that's right for you. The only way to know what advice you need, is to know yourself and to know where you are, where you're coming from and where you want to go!

Relaxation is really important but not when it's something you look forward to doing. It's also not good when you let yourself go completely crazy with food/alcohol jusylt because you feel like you've earned it during the week. 2 really bad days will throw off your progress from the week. You should instead work to integrate relaxation in reasonable amounts into your week so that you don't feel like you're torturing yourself and can't wait for the weekend. You should get to relax every day. That way you don't want to quit and you won't overindulge over the weekend.
Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fiveminutefitness/message
If you don't believe and act as if you have already achieved what you want or look the way you want to then you won't ever. That's because if we look at ourselves as not having achieved our goals then that's what we will continue to bring about in the universe. You become what you think and believe. It's a lot easier to believe if you following the right steps. Don't look at your current situation. Look at yourself as having already gotten to where you want to be!
Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fiveminutefitness/message
