This week we look at King Jehoshaphat of Judah by studying highlights of his reign in 2 Chronicles 17-20. We’re reminded of certain truths that of faith, faithfulness, and personal holiness in our lives from the life of this good king of Judah.

We dive into the dangers of compromising faith for worldly alliances, as seen in Ahab's marriage to Jezebel and his decision to build a temple for Baal in Samaria. We also examine Ahab's misguided priorities, such as his treaty with Ben-Hadad, and the spiritual consequences that followed. In this sermon, we delve into the life of King Rehoboam, examining pivotal choices that shaped his reign and legacy. Through Rehoboam's story, we discovered the vital importance of humility and wisdom in seeking God's guidance. His initial pride and reliance on bad advice, coupled with wrong worship and a lack of humility, led to tumultuous consequences. Yet, in moments of discipline and humility, Rehoboam learned valuable lessons about the fear of the Lord and the blessings of obedience. We are reminded to seek wise counsel, worship God rightly, and embrace discipline as a pathway to spiritual growth and deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father.
As we finish the study of the seven I Am statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John, we look at Jesus’ statement of being the true vine and the relationship needed between Jesus and His disciples.
This week we start a look at the kings of Israel and Judah from the Biblical account. We start with Solomon at the height of Israel’s kingdom before the division of the kingdom. Solomon’s life is a challenge to every believer to live a life of devotion to the Lord.
This morning we reflect on Jesus’ death and resurrection and see the union we have as believers in Christ allowing us to freedom from sin and victory over death in this new life.
Christian living is sometimes a fuzzy idea that isn’t as clear as we would like, often it seems like an out of focus photograph. As we draw 1 Thessalonians to a close, we look at Paul’s final section of exhortations to proper Christian living, we see three quick snapshots that help us see in focus.
Paul follows the discussion of the rapture with reminding the Thessalonians that they need live as believers expecting Jesus’ return.
This morning we look at a familiar passage of hope and comfort and the next major event for the church universal, Christ’s return and the calling of the church to heaven and home.
A look at the sixth I Am saying from John’s Gospel this morning as we see not only Jesus’ declaration of deity, but also a promise of comfort for the believer.
Continuing our study of 1 Thessalonians, we begin chapter 4 this week. Chapters 4 and 5 is where Paul addresses areas this young church needed to grow in their faith, in their love, in their personal holiness. These are some of the things that he commented on "lacking in their faith" in 3:10.
As we continue working through 1 Thessalonians, we look into chapter 3 as we look and see the need to grow and stand in our faith.
As we continue to study 1 Thessalonians, we look at how Paul’s ministry with the Thessalonians is a pattern for how every Christian should minister.
This morning we continue our mini-series of Jesus’ great I Am statements from the Gospel of John, by looking at Jesus’ declaration of being the source of the resurrection and life.
As we return to our study of 1 Thessalonians we look at chapter 1 and see how Paul was thankful for their example to other churches and believers.

Merry Christmas! This week we examine the Christmas account with Jesus’ humiliation and the importance of the incarnation (His coming to earth).
This morning as we close the book of Philemon, we look at how an important important doctrine plays an underlying part of Paul’s letter and the Christian life.
We look at the main part of Paul’s letter to his friend Philemon. We see here in Philemon that this letter is where Paul’s theology from his letters is seen lived out in his own life and relationships.
This week we return to our Communion Series on the 7 I Am sayings found in the Gospel of John. We look the 3rd I Am saying, “I Am the door” in the context of Jesus teaching of His being the Good Shepherd that cares for, protects, and secures His sheep.
Starting a new book study with the short letter to Philemon. Here we see how God wants to us to practically live out our faith through forgiveness.
This week we close the book of Obadiah, as we look towards the promises of Israel’s restoration in the land, and the coming of the Lord.
We start a new short study on the Old Testament book of Obadiah this morning. Looking into the background and the prophecy. The Lord gives concerning a close neighbor to the Old Testament nation of Israel.
As we finish, Jude, we look at his benediction and the doxology that reminds us of our salvation and our savior.
This week we look at Jude’s final exhortation to his readers, prescribing immunity and aid amidst the pandemic of apostasy.
We continue to look at Jude’s warnings of the nature of the false teachers, but it also causes the believer to give themselves a heart check.
Jude encourages his readers a through a series of examples of God’s judgment on those that would rebel blindly and blatantly against Him.
This week we start the epistle of Jude. We look at Jude reminding his readers of the truth of salvation, the importance of doctrine, and warning them about false teachers getting in the church. But how does this little book in the New Testament affect us?
This week we look at the 2nd of the Seven Great I Am statements in the Gospel of John. Jesus is again offering salvation to those who place their faith in him as he warns those who would reject him.
As we close Habakkuk this week we look at the prophet’s psalm that was his prayer for the Lord to act as we had in the past but also to shore mercy the children of Israel. He dwells on God’s revealed glory and on a number of previous acts of power that God displayed in Israel’s history ending in hope and faith no matter the circumstances knowing that our God is mighty and awesome.
This week we look at the Lord’s response to Habakkuk’s second questioning, his complaint of what the Lord was planning on doing. Here the Lord speaks Five Woes against Babylon and reminds the prophet of His grace, glory and sovereignty.
This week we take a look at the Jesus’ first great I Am statements in the Gospel of John, “I am the bread of life”. We’ll look at the context of that statement and the importance of this statement to the Gospel of Jesus of Christ.
This week we look at Habakkuk’s next complaint and questions for God about He is dealing with the Kingdom of Judah. But does the prophet lose his faith or cling to it stronger?
As we continue in Habakkuk, we look this week at the Lord’s first response to the prophet’s prayer lament calling God to action. Sometimes the Lord is working and we’re not paying attention. The Lords response to Habakkuk and the Kingdom of Judah was to “look and see”.
We start a new series this week as we look at the Book of Habakkuk. This week we look at the prophet’s initial questions to God concerning the injustice and wickedness that he saw in his day. We ask these same questions today, “Where are you God? Why did you allow his wickedness?”
The beginning of looking at Jesus’ great I Am statements from the Gospel of John. This week we start by looking God’s revelation of His name to Moses and how the Divine Name is applied to and used by Jesus in the New Testament.
This week we close the book of Mark and look at the victory of Christ through His resurrection and the commission to His disciples, then and now, to proclaim His gospel around the world.
This week we finish Mark 15 as we see the proofs of Jesus’ death through eyewitnesses and his burial. But what is recorded in Mark 15 is only Friday….Sunday is coming…
Today we look at the crucifixion of Jesus and some of the various ways he suffered going to and on the cross.
Guest Speaker Marty Simons brings us a message from a familiar account in the Gospel of John.
As we look at Jesus’ trial before Pilate, we take a look at Pilate as an individual and governor and the circumstances surrounding Jesus’s’ trial.
As we continue in Mark 14, we look at Jesus’ arrest and the hearing before the Sanhedrin - Jewish religious leaders, and see the selfishness of human sin nature as well as the sinlessnes of Jesus.
This week we look at Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane and see that God wants us to trust Him in difficult times.
As we look at Peter’s promises of loyalty to and subsequent denial of Jesus, we see that the Lord was exposing Peter’s weaknesses for his growth. The Lord still does this with us, it may be painful, but is for our good and God’s glory.
As we look at Jesus’ instituting the Lord’s Supper we see that God wants to remind us of His past works and look forward to future promises in hope.
As the Passion week continues and the cross is only a couple of days away, Mark contrasts the love and devotion for Jesus with hate and greed. Today we look at the event of then Woman with the Alabaster Jar in Mark 14.
The close of the Olivet Discourse includes a couple of parables about being aware of some things and an admonition to faithfully serve.
Why did God give us information about the end times? It can be confusing and has created divisions amongst church groups. But God revealed this information and Jesus Himself gave us information about the last days as well. In Mark 13 we see that Gos wants us to have a knowledge of future events so we can trust in His sovereignty and faithfulness which gives the believer hope.
This week we continue our study of Mark as we begin to look Jesus’ Olivet Discourse as recorded by Mark. In this section we see God wants us to faithfully proclaim the gospel.
In this passage we see the importance of serving God in humility as Jesus denounces the scribes and honors a faithful widow.
Jesus engages in a series of questions from some religious leaders in the temple complex during the week leading to the cross.
This Resurrection Sunday we look at Paul’s sermon on Mars Hill in Athens where he shows God’s vindication of Jesus through the resurrection.
Jesus is confronted by the religious leaders the day after he cleansed the temple courts.
We look at the next day of the “Passion Week” of Christ as he encounters a barren a fig tree and entered the temple in Jerusalem.
This morning we look at the second encounter of a blind man with Jesus recorded in Mark’s Gospel. This man, Bartimaeus, though blind at the beginning of the encounter has enough spiritual “sight” to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. This encounter is a graphic example of conversion, of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.

As Jesus gets closer to Jerusalem, he lets the Twelve know what is about to happen. Not only is he predicting this from his own omniscience, but this was foretold by Old Testament prophets as well.
We look at a familiar passage about the “Rich Young Ruler” as we see what was going there with questions surrounding salvation in Mark 10.
This morning we have Marty Simons opening the Word of God for us and preparing our hearts for worship through the Lord’s Table.
Continuing in Mark as Jesus journeys to Jerusalem, we see another lesson about the childlike faith disciples need in Jesus.
As we shift in our study of Mark to Jesus’ final journey to Jerusalem, we see that he is again tested by some Pharisees about the touchy subject of divorce.
As we close Mark 9 this morning we finish a section of Jesus’ teaching to the Twelve about discipleship and humility. In other words, as disciples of Jesus be salted and be salty.
As we get back into Mark this week, we look at Jesus lessons to the Disciples about humility as disciples.
As we start the New Year and we celebrate the Lord’s Table we pause to look to a future scene in Heaven’s Throne Room where Christ is exalted as worthy and the great redeemer.
Merry Christmas! This morning as we celebrate the birth and incarnation Jesus, we finish our Christmas series in Isaiah with a look at the Suffering Servant Song of Isaiah 53.

Starting a new chapter as we continue the study of the Gospel of Mark. We enter a new section of confrontations between Jesus and the scribes.
A new series starting today on the Gospel of Mark where we see Christ as the Servant of God.
He is Risen! Today looking at the victory we have through Christ’s resurrection in 1 Cor 15:50-58.
This Palm Sunday we look to the future as we study the future resurrection of believers at the rapture of the church by Jesus Christ, and see that He is and will rule over all things...even death!

Continuing in our study of 1 Timothy this week brings us to the last chapter. We Vigon chapter 6 with a look at Paul’s instructions for slaves in the Ephesians church.
As we look at the second half of 1 Timothy 5, we see Paul giving direction about how Timothy, and the church, should treat pastors.
