Did you know what goes on in your mind is the reason for everything you experience in life? For your anxiety, for the money you make, your major, your relationships, reaching your goals, even your feelings? So why is no one talking about it?
As a college student, a Latter-day Saint, and a certified life coach, I’m speaking up and talking about our thoughts and how to manage our minds. Because the secret is, you aren’t alone in what you think. In fact, your thoughts are totally relatable.
Do we genuinely understand what it means when we say “comparison is the thief of joy”? After my recent experience on vacation, I have some thoughts to share on the unseen effects of comparison that we are falling into unnecessarily. Today on the podcast I’m diving deep into why we compare, what we hope to get out of it, and how it will never satisfy the desire and then what we can do in those moments that we find ourselves comparing. Also, I talk about my trip to Ireland so you can hear about that too.

In life we are presented with circumstances we choose for ourselves and circumstances that are thrust upon us. And whenever either of those get hard, it can be easy to wish things were different and to argue with our reality. Today on the podcast I want to help you stop the waste of time and energy that is arguing with reality and remind you whenever we are in the thick of a hard thing, that we always get a choice in how we react and can use this moment for our gain.

I’ve been thinking about hope. Some people say it’s the hope that kills you. Jack Antonoff from Bleachers recently said at a concert that finding the thing that gives you hope is your mission in life. Mad Max says it will make you insane. Today on the podcast, I wanted to deep dive into hope and reflect on my own state of thinking when it comes to this emotion that I believe is core to what it means to be human. We talk about why we struggle with hope, what creates it for us, and some ways we can remind ourselves to hold on and believe in ourselves and that things will work out when the going gets rough.

We’ve all heard the phrase “trust your gut”? But what does it really mean for you and me? Today on the podcast we dive deep into moving away from the overthinking and worrying our brain can present as logical and good for making a decision to what will actually help us with the big decisions of our life, which is leaning into the intuition and understanding which doesn’t make sense but feels right. We also talk about how to increase our connection to our intuition for those of us who struggle to feel this way within the body.

Whenever we find ourselves stuck on a plateau in life, it can be useful to reflect on our progress and ask ourselves if our current trajectory will lead us to where we want to go. Yet when we do this, we can sometimes fall into the trap of rejection and shame for us being “worthless” and “failing”. This doesn’t have to be the case! Today on the podcast we talk about how we can reflect upon ourselves, not reject ourselves, by practicing acceptance, recognizing where our true worth is, and getting more comfortable with the discomfort of looking.

Today on the podcast, I wanted to take a deep dive into this facet of humanity and talk about emotional catharsis, our need for releasing strong emotions, the purpose of crying and how we can get more comfortable with it.

We as humans don’t like work. It’s a natural instinct within ourselves to resist anything that causes to move and use energy because our brain is trying to keep us alive and only motivate us to action when it is absolutely required for our survival. So why do we feel the need to work or create or contribute to our world or for our own sakes? Today on the podcast, I wanted to discuss the value of hard work and how we might change our relationship with it so that we can experience less resistance and more joy as we do something ultimately required to reach the goals we have in life. And I also bring up my love for Studio Ghibli films and what they teach about work so you have to look forward to as well.

When it comes down to relationships with any human being, you almost always have to have difficult conversations with those you care about. We find it hard to emotionally express ourselves when it comes to our romantic feelings, telling the truth about something we did, opening up, or breaking up a relationship. So today on the podcast, I’m talking about how valuable it is to open up, why we struggle with these hard conversations, and how we can make it far easier for ourselves to express our feelings and how it is always better to open up if we have something to say. This is How To Have Difficult Conversations.

NOTICE: We talk about suicide in today’s episode. If you don’t want to hear about it, that’s okay. You can skip this one. But I also think it’s important to talk about.
Hey, you matter! But sometimes you may not believe that. Sometimes, you may be caught in a rut and believe that life doesn’t matter. You may even believe it would be better if you were not here. These thoughts that we get, often referred to as suicidal ideation, can feel so scary and that something is wrong with us. But that is not the truth. Today on the podcast, I wanted to create an episode of encouragement, a safe space to talk about the hard thoughts we may have, how it is OKAY to have these thoughts, and to persuade you that YOU MATTER and to stay.
If you or a loved one need help with anything around suicide, please reach out to someone you trust. You can also use the suicide hotline and dial 988.

Imagine a typical family dinner. Your mom has laid a beautiful plate of roast beef, mashed potatoes, asparagus, with a little pie for dessert. Sounds delicious right? Well what if happiness was like this very plate. So often our brain likes to make the story one thing or the other. Happiness is either all pleasure or none of it, without any room for balance or nuance. Today on the podcast, I’m comparing our search for happiness in life to the metaphor of the Happiness Plate. What if instead of getting sick of only eating dessert, we made room for the things that would truly make us feel good about ourselves while also allowing ourselves to be human and enjoy the simple pleasures of life? How might this concept change your life?

The rule of thirds is a concept I recently learned about from an Olympian, Alexi Pappas, on endurance athlete Rich Roll’s podcast. And I think it might change your life! Today on the podcast, I dive into this concept and what we can do with it when it comes to our lives and our progress towards our dreams and doing hard things. So often we feel the urge to give up because we have a bad day, we think it’ll never work, when in fact the rule of thirds might be coming into play here. How can you life change for the better by allowing yourself to be in whatever season of feeling you’re in while still putting in the reps towards your goal?

You’ll hear an embarrassing story about a crush I had, but more importantly, we talk about what it means to have a crush and some of the potential pitfalls that we can fall into. Like we can create a relationship that is all in our head or we can make the real relationship feel less than because it doesn’t have the same excitement so to speak. In our modern world, I think it’s honestly something we struggle with and so I highly encourage you to evaluate with me how you balance these feelings of attraction and keep the crush, but actually do something about it.

It’s February and every young single adult's favorite holiday of Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. You may cringe like me at the thought or anything related to dating. It’s hard, we’ve had tough emotional experiences with it, we are reminded of our failures, and it feels like nothing will change. And it can be so easy to blame the world and culture around us for the pressure we experience. But in today’s episode I want to argue for creating your own dating culture. One where you have your back and support yourself and maintain your vision on what actually matters so that you can finally create really the best experience you can when it comes to dating. So will you join me?

So often it can feel like we are pushing a boulder uphill and having it roll back down like Sisyphus of old when it comes to our progress of goals, especially when it comes to mindset work. Will we ever think differently? Will we ever feel better? Can we ever love ourselves? The answer is YES! Today on the podcast, I talk about how you can tell if you’re making progress, how our brains always see the negative and lack of progress, and the kinds of healthy questions we can use to get curious about where our mental and emotional health is along our long journey of becoming.

The more I observe the news, the events going on in the world, as well as hear from your life experiences, it feels like the world is only getting more chaotic. And this time of our 20s can feel like chaos as you figuring out what the rest of your life will look like and internally you may feel that lack of peace. So today on the podcast, I wanted to offer my insight on how to live in a chaotic world, the one present around us as well as the one we may experience at home or within our mind. Because chaos is not bad, it’s just unpredictable which our brain tends to not like. But if we can learn to let go of the need to control and remind ourselves that circumstances don’t have to dictate our mood, we can find peace no matter how chaotic it feels.

To follow up on the theme of goals, we need to know what we want in the first place. So often, we think it’s easier to live without desire, to be okay with whatever, and go with the flow. Today, I wanted to set the record straight when it comes to desire and so I invited my fellow young adult life coach, Emily Cheney, to speak on connecting with our desire. We discuss how to recognize our desires, how to reconnect with ourselves, and the kind of impact we have on the world and ourselves when we do the hard work of actually embracing our desires rather than pushing them back. Also, I share what Christmas song has truly touched my heart this season and how you can make this Christmas one of joy and happiness, and how to truly make a difference in your life this next year. Merry Christmas!

Just because you might feel like you’re doing things wrong in life, doesn’t actually mean you are. You have this thing called the human brain. And it doesn’t like certain things. It’s in fact programmed to find out everything that is wrong, in general and with you. But none of it actually has to be this way. Today on the podcast, I offer you insight into what to do when we think we are doing life wrong and want to feel better about where we are at in our progress in life.

While we might think that it’s easy for our brain to take breaks while we are studying or to avoid doing something hard, this is not RESTING. This is not the same as the rest and recovery we need to prioritize when it comes to the goals we are trying to progress in. So today on the podcast, I am sharing how to be okay with rest, how to not define your “worth” by doing, and how to be intentional so you can maximize your growth as a human being and not get setback by the burnout inevitable in not planning your rest and recovery.

What are we actually avoiding when we talk about discomfort? Today I wanted to get specific about discomfort and our avoidance of it in preparation for the procrastinating that will almost inevitably happen when it comes to finals week. Plus all the discomfort we avoid in dating, our careers, and personal goals that don’t have deadlines that are set back because of our avoiding the hard things required. Come learn how to overcome this natural tendency to avoid discomfort and learn how to become friends with it so it doesn’t hold you back from what you really want to accomplish in life.

It’s so easy to point out what’s going wrong in life. And it’s easy for us to then shame ourselves for not seeing the good in life and appreciating it which only makes us feel worse. Today on the podcast, I want to drop all of that and just be grateful exactly where you are at in life. There’s no wrong way of doing this experience because it’s all just your choice in the end. Gratitude takes work so of course we don’t always feel like doing it, but I promise you that looking at your life differently on purpose is always worth it and always possible no matter where you are at.

This isn’t about math literally. Sorry if you came to hate on math. But have you ever noticed when you obsess over figuring something out? Whether you like someone or whether they like you? What career you should choose, what’s going to be on this test, how much time you need to get married before your 31? All of that is what I call calculating. And it ain’t serving you. Today on the podcast, I talk about how to stop doing the mental math our brain argues is necessary for figuring something out and how it actually is not serving you, and how you can bring yourself to the present and help yourself actually feel better.

People Pleasing. We all do it, it’s inherent as a human being to pretend we feel differently or to not voice our true opinion so we don’t disrupt a social setting, have people think negatively about us, or even to not hurt another person’s feelings. Yet it’s only hurting us in the process. Today on the podcast I dive deep on how people pleasing is not serving us, breaking down what it does to us in our brain and how we can begin today to stop people pleasing so that we might find more joy in our relationship with ourselves and others. I promise that if you are struggling in relationships with others right now, stopping people pleasing can fix that struggle.

I have something to confess: I’m not very good at taking care of myself. In fact, I fall out of good habits and go into bad habits consistently. I should sleep more, I should eat healthier, I shouldn’t spend as much time on my phone. And yet it’s all okay. So often we use the routines of self-care against ourselves to say we are lazy and something is inherently wrong with us when we just don’t want to do it a lot of the time. Today on the podcast I talk about what it means to take care of yourself and how this form of love for yourself is not selfish and in fact is the hardest thing you can do for yourself. And I talk about the one 5 minute habit that if you begin right now will dramatically improve the rest of your day, I guarantee it.

During our young adult years, it can be easy to get stuck in confusion simply because of the amount and severity of the decisions we feel we have to make at this stage of life. There can be so much pressure around it all and no matter how hard we try, we can feel completely lost in “I don’t know”. But today on the podcast, I want to share with you the truth about confusion. Even for something as big as what you want to do in life, we don’t actually have to be confused and it actually doesn’t really matter what you will decide because all that REALLY matters is just making a decision. I also share strategies to get us out of the cloud of confusion and finally resolve the dilemma of “I don’t know what to do in life”.

If you’re like me, it’s easy to do the very opposite thing the tools of self-help are there for: hurt yourself! Once we are given knowledge and awareness of what is happening in our brain and body, we may be tempted to use the tools that are supposed to build us up to tear ourselves down. So today on the podcast, I’m sharing my amazing weekend Eclipse experience as an example of how to love yourselves in your humanness and illustrate the 3 common ways we weaponize self-help against ourselves. Enjoy!

In the spirit of Halloween coming up, I thought I’d talk about what we are all actually scared of the most: rejection! The fear of rejection is real in that it prevents us from realizing our dreams, asking that person out we want to most, and puts us in a state of apathy even in life. Why? BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT TO FEEL BAD! It sucks to get rejected. But today on the podcast, I break down why it sucks, what we are actually afraid of, and offer you tools to realize we are only creating a worse experience for ourselves avoiding rejection and the acceptance we all crave in life actually requires embracing this fear and realizing rejection doesn’t have to dictate whether we are “good enough” in life or not.

We live in a world where it is so easy to pretend. It’s easy to present ourselves in a light that looks positive, yet internally we feel awful. You might be surprised to know your brain is hardwired to employ this “toxic positivity” to protect you, but in fact saying “I’m fine” to how you are doing might not be serving you the way you think. In today’s episode, join me in evaluating toxic positivity in our culture, the effect it has upon us, and how we might shift our response from “I’m fine” to “I'm not doing okay, and there’s nothing wrong with that”.

In our modern world, there are two fantasies that we can get stuck in that just aren’t going to serve you in the long run for what you want. One is the fantasy of running away from your emotions and thinking you can just numb yourself of whatever pain you’re feeling. And the other is actually making things harder or bigger than they actually are. Today on the podcast, I explain how to not let these things interfere with your purpose and joy in life. You find joy by experiencing all the emotions in life and you can figure out what you want in life and have the motivation to make it happen when you stop making things that are “micro” “macro” and start being honest with yourself.

We did it! My mom and I ran 15 miles and swam 3 miles all around the island of Mackinac in Michigan. We have been preparing for this day for the last 8 months and let me tell you it was amazing. And we loved it so much and learned so many things from it that I had to have my mom and certified life coach, April Price, on the podcast. I owe everything I am to her and she is such a brilliant mind when it comes to what we discuss today. In today’s episode, you’ll learn the lessons we learned from our SwimRun and how it might just change your life in a totally unrelated way.

Ultimately though this fear actually holds us back from living the life we want. In reality, YOU are the one who makes a decision right, because decisions do not make you feel good or bad. In today’s episode, we discuss this fear, where it comes from, and how to remove your anxiety in decision making and get better at it.

You ever want one thing and the next moment finding yourself desiring the opposite? Like you try to eat healthy and then desire McDonald’s. I find often we think something is wrong with us because of this duality of desire held within us. But maybe there is in fact a beautiful purpose to having this duality. In today’s episode, we talk about the art of duality, what it looks like for each of us individually, and how acceptance will give us the opportunity to hold the unwanted desires WITHOUT acting on it.Jennie Dildine Coaching for Preparing, Currently Serving, and Return MissionariesTo have your best pre, current, or post missionary experience, it’s not about doing all the right things. Going back to school has always been my favorite time of the year to set goals for myself. So I want to help you start your semester right in knowing what goals you want to set, why you want to, and how you’re going to get there. Today on the podcast I explore the real reason we even make goals in the first place, what they help us accomplish in our becoming, and how to prepare for the eventual moments where failure will occur, when we don’t feel like doing the goal, when others pressure us to not do the goal, and what you can do to ensure you meet whatever goal you set. This semester won’t be what you expect it to be. It’ll be even better.

I’ve been reflecting on life and death recently. A week before my sister got married, a good friend of mine’s sister died in a tragic accident. Not to mention I saw Oppenheimer 3 times in theaters and cried with the impending fear of an eventual nuclear end to our world. As dark as that all sounds, it has given me the wonderful opportunity to reflect on what matters most in life. What have I been consumed with that if the world were ending wouldn’t be worth it? In today’s episode, we reflect on how we know what matters most in our life and decide what is the kind of life we want to live knowing that our time to get that very thing is limited. As easy as it is to believe that your life doesn’t matter, there’s every reason to also believe it does really matter.

As a Latter-day Saint YSA, I have often heard the phrase, “I’m feeling bad so I must not be worthy of the Spirit.” It’s time to end this lie. Today on the podcast, we are going spiritual and diving deep on what it means to feel the Spirit and how it actually has nothing to do with how we are feeling emotionally. I talk about what it actually means when we are feeling negative emotion when it comes to our spiritual relationship, how to make decisions when there is no clear answer from God and how God might want us to be growing more than feeding us the right answer all the time. This episode may be just the thing to help heal your spiritual relationship and make you feel better how amazing you truly are in God’s eyes. In your journey to find yourself in your twenties, you might begin to question your identity and who you’ve been for your whole life. And you may even want to change some things about yourself. But so many of us get stuck because we think, I’ve always been this way, this is who I am, how can I change this thing? The truth is, your identity is ALWAYS a choice. And a lot of times it’s used as a limiting belief to hold us back from the very thing you want to become. But this is the greatest news ever because it doesn’t HAVE to hold us back if we don’t want it to. Today on the podcast I talk about how you can break free of your limiting beliefs surrounding your identity by questioning how true they are and employing a tool of gradual rethinking to rewire your identity so that you are empowered and are no longer a victim. When it comes to family, it’s almost as if drama has to be a part of it. Arguments, offending each other, not feeling accepted or wanted, whatever it may look like, seems to always occur when we are with family. But is that such a bad thing? Today on the podcast, I’m talking about the way to peace from your family drama is owning that your family cannot create your emotions and that dropping your expectations of how your family should be showing is the key to making YOURSELF feel better. As right as we feel, WE are the ones who feel better when we drop expectations, grudges, and let ourselves free by letting our family members just be themselves.

So much self-help can feel like it’s about conquering our emotions as if they are something to be vanquished or destroyed. In fact, most of society desires to in fact run away or replace their emotional state with the things of the world. But after this beach vacation, I have been reminded of the value and purpose of emotion in that it helps us have a FULL and COMPLETE life. In today’s episode, learn how to truly “manage” your emotions by letting go of our resistance to them and diving into embracing them fully. Because life is truly because of emotion. Because emotion is kinda the whole point of life. You’ll never get this moment back so why run away from it? Why not embrace it?

So many of us in the world feel unfulfilled and wonder why? It;s no wonder why when you look at the patterns of life we have established. Most of us look for enjoyment and fulfillment in things outside of us really quickly, yet perhaps it comes from within us and doing the harder things we keep putting off. In today’s episode, I explain the formula for fulfillment comes from committing to the hard thing we want to do and THEN celebrating ourselves intentionally. What you putting off that will in fact make you feel better this moment?

We live in a world that doesn’t like to be lonely. Even when we are alone, we feel the urge to be plugged into our phones, tv, social media, all to fill up the air with noise and make us feel better. Then why is loneliness so present when we are so surrounded by people?I] It’s BECAUSE loneliness is created by our thoughts. And I believe there is a great importance to being lonely that we are MISSING OUT on. In today’s episode, you will learn what creates loneliness for human beings, why it matters that we actually experience it, and how to process and allow it so it becomes a transformative experience rather than a depressing one.

A huge milestone in life is that first real job after college. Everything you’ve been working for in college comes down to this point. And yet sometimes it isn’t what we expect it to be. It doesn’t fulfill us, we feel out of our depth, and wonder if we are cut out for this. I’VE BEEN THERE. In today’s episode, I’m celebrating my one year anniversary of starting my new job and I want to share with you what I have learned in that one year and teach you how to not be dependent on your job for emotional support, to embrace failure, and to know when you should quit or stay in the RIGHT way. One of the great abilities of our brain is to have awareness of our environment, particularly danger. With the way society has developed, we have what I call HYPER-awareness of what is right, wrong, good, bad, going to help us, or not because of the voices of other people so prevalent from media and just our own brains learning from it. But is your HYPER-awareness actually helping you or hindering your progress to getting the life you want? Today on the podcast, I advocate adding a little bit of naivety and a LOT of acceptance as the solution to when our HYPER-awareness halts our progress towards creating that very life. Listen here to learn how to stop this from impacting your dating, your career choices, and even how you feel about your self worth.

“Dating is hard”. “Social media is bad for you”. Phrases like this we’ve heard over and over to the point where they just “make sense”. But is that actually true? Today on the podcast, we’re exploring how so often we confuse the truth for our own thoughts about a situation and forget that we get to CHOOSE if things like dating are hard or if social media is bad for us. There’s nothing wrong with keeping these thoughts, shame doesn’t help either. But the REAL TRUTH is that our thoughts ultimately create the reality of our situation. So is that what you want to be thinking to get where you want to in life?

Today on the podcast, I have brought on my guest, Lorraine Headrick, to offer perspective on the balance of being a high achiever and embracing our humanness through the lens of being a student athlete. As trainer and a mental performance coach, Lorrine helps student athletes find proper balance in their life and gain confidence in their support. I admire what all athletes are capable of and find their mindset is one of the strongest out there. Yet they can still be so hard on themselves, just like you and I.
Today we cover perfectionism and how to stop holding ourselves against that standard, how to embrace our vulnerability and see our weakness as a strength, how to find purpose when we finish a season of life, and how ultimately the power we have of choosing our thoughts to create our emotional experience in life.

Today on the podcast, I talk ALL about the concept of pain, when it is necessary for getting what we want AND when it is NOT necessary and in fact holds us back. You’ll hear about my fun experience baking a lemon pie and the metaphor it can hold for your life as you are striving to become something as a young adult. To make any progress in anything requires opposition and therefore requires things to be wrong which is where pain comes in. I discuss how good pain and suffering and thinking things are wrong can be for having a FULL human experience. Yet the aspect of pain when it comes to hurting ourselves and thinking less of ourselves is more unnecessary to our human experience than we make it and it is only holding you back. Today on the podcast, I explain why the relationship with your own SELF is the most important one and is often the most neglected. If you want anything to improve in your own life or in the lives of others around you, you must address how you feel and care about your own self.
I walk through several steps you can begin today even with just 5 minutes that will do wonders for you AND help you practice self love, compassion, and allow you to stick to the big goals you have for yourself. You may be tempted to rationalize away the need to focus on this, but I promise you, if you use these tools and don’t listen to your brain’s reasons for not doing it, this can change your life for the better.

Today, I’m talking about comparison, why it’s so instinctual to do and how social media has made it so easy for us in our modern day and age to think that our life isn’t good enough in comparison to what everyone else is doing. It is my philosophy that the best life you can have is YOUR life, whatever that looks like and this DOESN’T you can’t desire change for yourself.
I discuss how to apply this in our mindset and how to look at other people’s lives as a whole, positive and negative, and to enjoy the “gains” of others and ourselves while recognizing it is totally okay to have comparison thoughts. You just get to choose if they stay and that will determine how satisfied and happy you are with your life.

It’s so easy to feel lost in the modern world today. With so many voices like social media, our parents, roommates, movies & television, all telling us how we should live our lives, we can feel overwhelmed and not know what the right path is for us, in terms of our career, dating, family dynamic, and just general lifestyle. So how do you know what’s right? YOU TRUST YOURSELF!
Today on the podcast, I explain what exactly to do when you are lost and are unsure of what your next decision should be. I explain what will most likely happen at your funeral, walk through the 7 stories exercise to determine exactly what type of career you desire by listening to yourself, and demonstrate how to not listen to your greatest critic (your brain!) when it comes to the fear you will most definitely feel starting anything you want to do.

Something almost inevitable as a young adult is the concept of the Friendzone. Fundamentally, it’s simply communicating that your feelings are different than the other person or vice versa. Yet our society has made it so easy to avoid honestly communicating our feelings and opting to ghost the person, making things only more difficult and frustrating.
Today, on the podcast, I guide you through the steps to making a friendzone conversation as simple and clear as possible, by being honest, not waiting, not judging, and letting the other person react however they desire. Yes we want to be liked and we don’t want to hurt people. Yet in the end, the best thing always is being honest and letting the other person know early on when you don’t feel the same about them. And for you who have been rejected/friendzoned, I have some advice for you too so stick around.

I still sometimes have that thought, even after watching it and thinking it's a pretty good movie, my brain will offer me it's theory. Because "that's the way it's always been". This mindset can be hidden in a lot of things you want to be different in your life and if your not careful will prevent you from getting the life you want.
Today on the podcast, I discuss how we get stuck in the mindset of not getting what we want in life because of our "past" or "things just being that way for us" and debunk it using examples from science, the lottery, and apply it to dating, your career, and your relationship with your family.

You've probably wondered why you aren't as positive as your friends, or why you keep thinking of the worst case scenario in dating, or never can figure out what you should actually do when it comes to your anxiety, just that it's a problem. This in fact isn't just normal, it's biological. This response is engrained in our brain and it is in fact good that we do recognize problems. The trick is to make the harder effort to actually replace it with a solution.
Today on the podcast, I explain the steps needed to train your brain to seek out the solutions in life that you desire, rather than only dwelling on the problems it is designed to find. If you want to replace your focus on the problems in your life with solutions, you'll want to listen to this episode.

I remember not liking myself when I looked in the mirror. Or just not being a fan. Or thinking we were okay, but no one liked us or there were things we needed to change. That is until I realized that nothing ever changed with these methods. And I was still me, looking back at me. While you may avoid looking a yourself in the mirror, what I came to learn was how to embrace that, how to really see myself, and how to begin choosing to love even when it didn't feel like there was much to love.
Today on the podcast, I'm telling you why looking at yourself in the mirror and how you feel about yourself in that moment is truly the most powerful indicator for the direction of your life. I guide you through what it looks like and the objections that you and your brain will have towards doing this simple task. I promise, this episode will change your life if you apply it.

So often, I see more and more people struggling with overthinking. Thinking it's something they're stuck with and are trying to overcome. But that narrative of overthinking being something that we should get rid of is only keeping us stuck in it. Thinking is a gift that we have as humans. Sure, we are going to overthink and it's not fun by any means, but it doesn't have to hold power over us. We always have a choice.
Today on the podcast, I’m covering 3 ways to help you stop overthinking FOR GOOD! These principles will truly change the way you think about your overthinking and bring relief to your mind.
I help my clients every week stop overthinking in very specific ways when it comes to dating, their self-image, their future, or what others think of them. Take this opportunity to give it a shot and see what lasting change is possible: (CLICK HERE)

As February begins, you may wonder if you can keep going with your goals. You may be ready to throw in the towel and believe once again that you can’t change the way you want to and it’s not worth it. Do NOT believe this lie.
Today on the podcast, I am changing your mind about change. The only thing preventing from lasting change, are the beliefs you have about yourself. If you want lasting change, you must choose to actively replace your past shame and self doubt with believing in yourself no matter what. And I show you what that looks like.
If you’ve been listening for a while, you may have wanted to try out coaching. I only have one spot for it a week. Take this opportunity to give it a shot and see what lasting change is possible: (CLICK HERE)

This is for all you overthinkers, worriers, i-don't-know-where-to-eat-ers, and shamers out there. The reason you are so tired is because you are spending your energy on something that is NOT producing anything useful for you. You recognize that spinning isn't helping, but you can't help it right?! What if I told you that you in fact had control over this, that there was a way to overcome this cycle of thinking.
Today on the podcast, I teach the concept of decision fatigue and why it is the reason you are running out of energy. Too much energy is wasted in our attention to things that are out of our control or are just lies to our brain. This episode will teach you how to gain that power back in your life.

We tend to always be rushing in life. Rushing not only from place to place, but especially from each stage of life. As a kid we want to be older and then we want to be an adult, we want to have money in a job and then we want to not have a job, we want to date and then be married and then have kids, all just because it's the next thing. But why aren't we good with where we are at knowing eventually we will get the thing we want in time?
In this episode, I focus on the last piece of advice I have for goals: "there's no need to rush in getting there". If you put in the time every day to do just a little bit, you will eventually get there, it cannot be stopped. This method of approaching goals actually makes it LAST and helps you to not burnout and give up.

Too often we avoid the small things that actually bring change. All it takes to lose weight is to consume less energy than you burn. All it takes to get good grades is to study more than you usually do. All it takes to make money is to spend less than you earn. Truly, the simplest things in life are the ones we underestimate as being the things that will get you to your BIG GOAL! When in fact they need to be your superpower.
Today on the podcast, I dive deep into why focusing on the goal doesn't even matter at the end of the day and why your focus needs to be on the small daily actions you take for yourself. Get good at doing the small boring things because change happens in the things we say are too simple and that we can do later in life.

You are miserable when you are stuck and feel like you have no control over your life and the things you wish were different. And what keeps you stuck is that the things you want to change require you to feel bad when you're whole life you've been conditioned to have things be easier and to feel good all the time. This is the vicious cycle you try to break every year when you set your goals.
This week on the podcast, learn why we choose to be miserable even if it feels terrible because we would much rather avoid the discomfort required of the things we want. If you want your life to finally be different, this is the episode for reaching exactly the goal you set for yourself from love, fully embracing the hard work required of it.
I do this all because I was once you and was stuck exactly like you are. If you're ready to get unstuck and change how 2023 goes, here's a free coaching call to help you get started on your journey (CLICK HERE).

It’s no secret that January is famous for the beginning AND ending of many people’s goals. That might even have been the case for you so many times. But it doesn’t have to be this way. The secret: commitment, no matter what.
Today on the podcast I dive deep into what is going to make the most difference towards making it to your goals: commitment. I’m talking about that moment when reality hits and we realize how delusional we are in our goal setting and how to KEEP going and talk to your brain through all the excuses to stop.

Christmas is the best time of year for most of us. And it's easy to see why. Just look around! But would it be wild if I suggested that this was literally ONLY because of how you are thinking? Don't worry, I'm not trying to get you to overthink Christmas. I just want you to consider that if your thinking is what makes Christmas so good, that means the rest of your life can also have the same spirit as Christmas.
Today on the podcast, I explore the thoughts that make Christmas wonderful, magical, and so full of joy that can transform how we live out next year. There's so much potential in your life for joy BECAUSE of opposition, our thinking is what limits us, not the "facts" of life, you are allowed to be loved and it's more fun if you let yourself be taken care of, you'll feel better when you serve others, and life ain't supposed to be perfect. With these, you can keep the spirit of Christmas with you always.

You might be honestly thinking: "my life isn't turning out the way I want it to. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I'm just not going to get the life I want." And of course, you are! It's a totally logical way of thinking, especially during the Christmas season. All the great movies this time of year have characters wondering what is the purpose of it all and remembering truly how amazing their life actually is.
So today on the podcast, I am reminding you about the truths that REALLY matter, showing you how your life is already so amazing and you probably just need a little perspective to realize this is the truth only when you believe it is. This is the episode for any of you also wondering if you're on the right path if you feel like you've made too many mistakes and you'll never get what you want out of life. I promise you will feel so good after this one. Like and share it if you agree.

2022 has been my best year yet. And this didn't happen by chance. And that doesn't mean I went through a lot of hard and difficult things. It was my best year yet BECAUSE of the thoughts I chose despite it all. And I want to share those thoughts with you.
Today on the podcast, I show how you can do your own performance review of what you intentionally chose this year, how to accept it ALL and not compare yourself to others accomplishments, and truly how to appreciate all that you have done with your time. I do this all while also showing how my thoughts about myself and the life I was living were the reasons for all that I accomplished just as it is for you. This is the perfect way to wrap up on your goals, see how amazing you are, and look forward to what you want to do next year, not to be better, but to simply have the life you want.
I can help you make 2023 your best year yet as 2022 was mine. Coaching has made all the difference in everything I have accomplished and if you want to accomplish amazing things, a coach is exactly what you need!

IT'S BACK! Finals week is already approaching and I can already hear what you're going to tell me. I'm so busy, I gotta catch up, there's no way I'm going to pass this, this is way too hard, etc. And I'm here to help you navigate through all of that without the typical stress, overwhelm, and even fatigue if you're ready to listen up.
Today on the podcast, I discuss 3 strategies to overcome overwhelm, worry, and guilt when it comes to studying for finals. The biggest takeaway is that you are supposed to have these feelings and that these negative emotions are the very reason why the class you are taking and the grade you desire at the end of all this effort has WORTH.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! I love the focus on great food and family, but most of all, gratitude. Gratitude for family, friends, the opportunities we have been given to have an education, our career, our dreams, and all that is going right in our life.
But today on the podcast, I wanted to focus on thanking something we tend to avoid thinking positively of: our past self. Because your past self was you! Meaning the choices your past self made have brought you exactly where you are today. There is power in choosing to thank yourself for all your hard choices, even those you aren't proud of or want to be different in the future. Because when we thank ourselves, we increase the love we have for ourselves and thereby are more willing to put ourselves out there, to do the uncomfortable, because we are truly comfortable with ourselves. And know that nothing can stop us. Life is going exactly as it's supposed to.

You may be a long-time listener or maybe it's your first time. Either way, you may have wondered if there is actually any merit to anything I've said. Yes, coaching has changed my life, but has it changed anyone else's? YES! Today on the podcast, you can see the real fruits of coaching from one of my very own clients. Jocelyn just finished her freshman year in college and is currently preparing to serve a mission in Scottsdale, AZ. She shares her story, what led to her seeking a coach in college, and the principles that have changed her life entirely. We talk about moving through fear, preparing for a mission, relationships, getting past perfectionism, and ultimately how loving ourselves helps us become who we want to be. Today on the podcast, I interview my coach, Jennie the LDS mission coach, all about how to best prepare for the mission and how to help missionaries currently serving who are feeling like they aren't good enough. We discuss how vital it is to observe our thinking, how to approach difficult emotions, how to accept ourselves no matter how feel about ourselves, and how the peace we desire isn't found in control or "success", but in trusting ourselves and believing we have power knowing we don't have to believe everything that you think.
If you are thinking about a mission, preparing for it, worrying about it, or if you’re currently serving or even know someone who is, this episode should be a requirement to listen to! You will not regret listening to this.

Trust me, I have been you and there is a way out.

How to face the awkward, how to rediscover your new purpose after, how to offer yourself grace, and to accept that it is okay to be feeling exactly the way you do, meaning NOTHING is wrong with you. This year's Halloween episode focuses on one of the scariest concepts out there: scarcity. We as human beings understand needs and recognize that they need to be fulfilled. And so it's easy for us to see when we are lacking these needs like money, time, relationships, knowledge, skill, etc. Yet so often we think scarcity is just a truth. What we see around us is the truth, when this is far from the case. And this matters because the FOCUS of your life has everything to do with how your life turns out.
Today on the podcast, you will learn how to overcome this scarcity mindset and understand that the REALLY scary thing to do is to believe in abundance and actually do what you are telling yourself you can't do. The truth is that scarcity covers up the fact that we really just don't want to do whatever we are stuck on by convincing us the truth is we aren't good enough or the circumstances don't permit it. Listen to learn how to NOT fall in this trap.

I think we all understand in life that we are going to fail at one time or another. What we don't usually think about is how the way we treat ourselves IN failure determines whether our life IS a failure or a SUCCESS!
Today on the podcast, I'm talking all things failure, how we make our failures mean that WE are a failure, how this label ultimately creates the very thing we are trying to avoid, and what the solution is to helping us not label ourselves as failures, even when we think have messed up and should feel bad. I promise this is an episode for all you who think you've screwed up too much, who think they've disappointed their parents far too much, who have failed a class or out of college, who they think should have been married or should have kids or farther in their career and their still not, this is EXACTLY for you.
You don't have to think you're a failure in college! This masterclass is designed to show you how to learn from failure and never let that stop you from reaching your goals in life and especially not stop you from believing in yourself. You don't want to miss this!

Unstoppable. That is the song I finished 29029 to. And I think it sums up how it literally changed my life. Because I showed myself that I am truly unstoppable, IF I don't stop myself. It is only us who can stop us from believing that we belong, that we matter, and that we can do it.
Today on the podcast, I wrap up my feelings about 29029 and dive into how I redefined how I see myself with this event, how the power of relentless positivity carried me through, and how we are ultimately the ones who decide if we are capable or not, not the world or people around us.

I was present in just taking one step at a time.
Today on the podcast, I talk about the principle of being present in the moment, breaking down your challenges, and knowing that acceptance of your situation is not giving up, but in fact how you don't give up. All these things are CRUCIAL to what is going on in your life right now I promise. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to participate in 29029, an endurance event where I would summit over 29,029 feet in less than 36 hours. And I learned a LOT from this experience that needs to be shared.
So today on the podcast, I dive deep into what 29029 felt like EMOTIONALLY, how we have been conditioned to avoid disappointment, how in order to feel amazing in life we need to be feeling discomfort, and that we are far more capable than we realize. In fact, we are entirely as capable as we say we are. That's all that's holding you back. So come learn how to experience disappointment and hard things and STILL keep going to get what you want from life.

Memory defines how we live our life every day without us even knowing. Without it, we wouldn't have a sense of how to function in the world, we couldn't build knowledge, and we also might not be able to really know who we are.
But today on the podcast, I dive into how we let memory hold us back by letting our past define our present, but not forgiving ourselves, and by holding onto what we consider to be the truth when in fact our memory might be lying to us, just so our brain is right. Today on the podcast, I walk you through how we can embrace the tragedy of a break up by being honest with how we are feeling, let others be uncomfortable with our sadness, and grow our capacity to move on in having faith for the future when we are ready to believe again, all from what I learned from my own personal break ups in life.

We all can use some more hype in our lives. To help us do things we don't feel motivated to do, to inspire ourselves when we are down and feel like we are failing and everything is going wrong. And usually, we look to others for that help. The truth is though that hype always comes from the inside. The potential to reach your dreams is entirely within yourself and is accessed only by your belief in yourself, even when you can't see it being possible. This episode is here to remind you how amazing you are, to inspire you to see what potential you hold, and to understand the value of hype, both from others and especially from yourself.

The mind is the arena of battle that will determine our destiny. That's the kind of magnitude we are talking about today with my special guest, Dennis Deaton. Dennis is an award-winning author and coach and today shares the 4 laws that govern our mind that we must utilize to create the kind of life we want. But he's also my grandpa! So this is also a fantastic conversation to see how he himself has applied these principles to create the amazing life that I have been able to witness growing up in this wonderful family. How do you feel about time? Do you feel like you have enough of it? Or it's always running out? Do you consider yourself a planner? Or a procrastinator? Lazy or too busy? Whatever you're story, it doesn't have to be that way. Because how we deal with time only has to do with how we are thinking about time.
Today on the podcast, I go deep on what time is and how we make it so time controls us rather than us controlling time. I also explain how to create a schedule that you'll actually stick to if you and how to approach the moments when you don't want to do what you had planned.

Fear is something we all experience. Every human being on Earth is guaranteed to be fearful of something. It's a biological response to danger to keep us safe, all because of our capability to think and reason using our brains.
But to be SAFE is to not SUCCEED.
Today on the podcast I discuss what the feeling of fear is, what it communicates, and how before every big success that you have in front of you, fear will convince you to turn around from it. And the only way to truly find the success you're looking for is on the other side of fear. By embracing it, not ignoring it.
If you're a first-time summer salesperson and are struggling with getting the confidence you need for every door, struggling to believe in yourself, worried that you won't make the kind of money you want, or are even afraid of reaching out for help about it, it's time to talk. To be successful is to know failure.
You might be used to dealing with failure. But how are you using it against yourself? Do you let not reaching your expectations mean that you aren't good enough, that you need to be better, that you must be doing something wrong?
Then you are denying yourself the power of grace and the ability to succeed even more. When we fail, it simply is ONLY because of an expectation in our mind. And by emphasizing how good we are for continuing, recognizing how far we have truly come, and accessing the deep power of loving yourself through it all, then success is around the corner! Because we then approach sales from the right energy!
Join me in this bonus episode to evaluate your relationship with failure and if you are allowing yourself to experience the power of your own grace in order to find the greatest success possible!
To you who are afraid of struggling in sales and WANT to take your selling to the next level, I have designed the perfect coaching experience capable of taking you to double your money goal.

It's honestly a struggle to know when you're people-pleasing. The way I see it, it's simply whenever you present yourself in a way that is in fact lying to the people around you about your true feelings. If you're not being honest in the way you feel and being passive-aggressive, it's a good sign that you're a people pleaser.
Don't worry, I'm guilty too! Today, I talk about the ways we people please and why it in fact is NEVER helping us and the result that we want is ALWAYS in being honest with the people we love. Doesn't mean we can't sacrifice, we can't be kind, it's a matter of honoring ourselves and being honest. Because that's truly the kindest thing you can do in the end.

To all you first-time sellers out there: your mind is 100% the only thing that keeps you from reaching your goal.
Therefore, one of the most valuable things you can practice is MENTAL RESILIENCE.
Because the amount of success you have in summer sales is in direct correlation with the amount of discomfort you can feel. PERIOD.
Today in this bonus episode, I detail what mental resilience truly is and the ways we can learn to grow it so that when we do face hardship and failure in our quest for success, we don't give up and in fact use the moment as fuel to take on the next sale.
And if you want to be more mentally resilient, sign up for a free summer of success consult. It's 30 minutes of your time that will change how your sales go for the entire summer. (CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP)

“I'd like to live my life saying, I'm glad I did, not I wish I had."
Join me and my new friend Jonah Lewis to do a deep dive into what Jonah believes is an important key to success we may be neglecting as young adults: intentional leadership.
We discuss concepts about our own desires, how to be an example to others, especially those in our social circles, about integrity. But overall, I was struck by just how much the idea of intentional leadership was about being ourselves in the moment and not being afraid to let ourselves shine in a world that is drifting away from that ownership of being.

Sometimes in our noble quest of helping others, we forget about ourselves. And aren't we supposed to forget about ourselves right?
Well, maybe. But I believe the true secret to making our lives instantly better and more, AND to bless other people's lives, begins with loving ourselves. Shamelessly. But our brain gets in the way of this so easily. We think it should be easy and in our nature to love ourselves. Yet we have deprived ourselves so much that we must relearn and practice how it's done. That's what you'll learn today.

I'm so grateful Jd came on to share his experience with anxiety and the kinds of situations it took him into when he dwelt negatively on his thoughts. Fair warning, this could be triggering for some individuals struggling with crippling anxiety or depression, but I feel it shows how serious anxiety can become when we don't create a healthy relationship with ourselves and learn how to love and accept our whole self! And I think Jd's journey will show that to you.

We all desire success in some form. A successful relationship, marriage, or family. A successful job, education, or place to live. We even want to be successful in fun things like our hobbies, or just be successful in making it from Monday to Friday all in one piece.
So what's the secret to achieving success? It's 100% all of what goes on in your head. It's not circumstances, it's not that other people are more suited for it. Those are all just stories played on repeat in your brain. But you were made for more.
Your desires can definitely be reached and you can find success. But it comes in gaining that mindset and feeling of success and learning how to talk to your brain. This is why I'm teaching you how to begin finding success and stop letting things like anxiety child you back from reaching your dreams.

This episode may not be for everyone, but I know someone needs it. So many young people I know struggle with themselves having questions. Usually, we put the blame on the questions themselves for why we feel terrible, but the reason we feel terrible is only because we think we should be having questions, that questions somehow mean we are bad or something’s wrong with us.
QUESTIONS ARE QUESTIONS. They don’t have meaning unless we give them meaning. And today I talk about how we can work with religious questions and how it’s okay to have them.

It's easy to make self-improvement and the act of reaching our dreams and changing our lives for the better, a complex issue. And then it becomes easy to blame our outside circumstances for why things aren't going our way. Because we think we're smart and finally figuring out the secret to TRUE CHANGE. But this is a lie. A lie from good ol' Muffinhead. And it's this truth that I humbly relearned: the fundamentals are the way to getting the results we want in life. The secret to getting anything you want in life is in practicing 2 fundamentals every day: 1. Practice gaining awareness that you're life is always created by your thoughts 2. Practice Processing Emotions And while no one likes to practice (especially your brain!), that's a real good indicator that it's EXACTLY the very thing we need to do every single day.

It's part of human nature to wonder whether we are on the right path. Am I in the right major, did I choose the right person to date, is my life going the way it's supposed to be. While these questions are natural, they subconsciously reflect the hidden belief that we don't believe in OURSELVES.
Even when we are unsure of the future and uncertain of what choice is the best according to our desires, we NEVER have to distrust ourselves. We can trust that no matter what we have our own back, things will work out in our favor, and in fact, this self-confidence in ourselves will lead us in the RIGHT, far more than our questioning if we are in the WRONG.

Do you know how AMAZING you are? How amazing your life really is? How amazing the world is?
When you are in a slump, when you feel like nothing is going for you in life, when you feel lost and purposeless, practicing abundance takes you out of all of that. It's like jumping your car battery after it died, it literally brings life back into you. Being able to see with new eyes the wonder of the world and how grateful you are for the life you have is the way to always go when it comes to setting goals for who we want to become. Because we don't become because we are lacking. We become because we already have so much and simply want to try something different in our abundance.
IF you want help making and setting new goals, I just released a free video course explaining how to go through the whole process and actually KEEP the goals you make. Visit calebpricecoaching.com to gain access to the course.

We all got it. A voice in our head. However it manifests itself for you, we have something in the back of your head that whispers, that suggests, that berates, that judges, and criticizes. You probably have been dealing with it for years now. And it’s all very real, even if you think it’s all in your head and you just deal with it.
Guess what?! You don’t have to just DEAL with it. There’s a better way. We can cultivate what I call the garden of your mind and plant seeds of belief in yourself, replacing the garbage that Muffinhead has piled up about you. Family means everything to me. That's why I got to be interviewed by my mom, a life coach, with my sister on the impact that coaching has had on our family. To sum it up, it's changed everything. Join us today as we talk about how learning how to manage our minds and change our perception of ourselves and our life allowed us to show up more for our family, allow each other to be themselves, and have more love for each other even when we disagree and argue.
If you vibe with any of this, coaching is for YOU! Sign up today to join THE program designed to fit the lives of college students right here.
P.S. You could even show this episode to your parents if that would help convince them to support you. Just a thought ;)

You might just think procrastination is only something that occurs when that essay your teacher assigned at the beginning of the semester is due this week. Yet procrastination is going to stick with us throughout our lives. How we deal with it then, the temptation of procrastination, MATTERS! It determines where you are going in life and if you will reach your dreams. Today on the podcast, you'll learn about where procrastination comes from AND more importantly, how you can deal with it when you want to make progress on that essay or your dreams.

Isn’t it funny how the people we usually get annoyed with the most are the people we love the most or spend the most time with?
Today, I talk about when you get annoyed, how you are the one in charge of those feelings, NOT the other person, and how you get a choice in the matter. Whether you want to be right or whether you want to experience love and peace about the situation. Because the secret is, you aren’t a bad person for being annoyed. All it takes is a mental shift to change from what we think someone shouldn’t be doing, to thinking that’s exactly what they’re supposed to do, to find the peace we want instead of being annoyed.
My group Mind Management University is looking for those who want to do it all in college WITHOUT the burnout and beating ourselves up that we think it takes.

"Fear is the mind-killer" - Paul from Dune
Fear. We all feel it, almost every day. It's an essential emotion that has proven useful time and time again. But are you listening to fears that are keeping you from getting what you want in life?
Today on the podcast, I distinguish two types of fears and that we tend to group them together when in fact most of our fears are our mind's way to get us to save our energy and not change. While fear will always be present, we can choose whether we listen to our fears or not. If you can master this skill, you're sp much closer to reaching the thing you desire most in life.

Do you know what you want to do with your life?
Today on the podcast, I'm here with my friend Suzanne Disparte, a life coach for single Latter-day Saint adults, and today we are talking about our dreams. How we decide on our dreams, how we figure out what we desire WITHOUT the shame or selfishness that might come up. And then how to go about reaching those dreams. Because it's our belief that when you go for what you desire, that's when you discover who you are, find confidence, and when all the relationships around you flourish, including that with yourself.

Regret. We've all experienced it. And most of us would rather not. Yet why does it keep coming up in our lives? Today, I share stories highlighting what regret is, how it's always a choice, and while it is totally okay to feel and we all will, I discuss how it is effectively pointless since we never can go back on the opportunity we regret. Modern society is centered around the idea of making ourselves feel better. But are these actions really making us feel better? In this episode, I dive into what's really going on and introduce the revolutionary concept of what it means to really feel your feelings.

This episode is the first in a series dedicated to Decisions. Today I talk about why we want to be indecisive as it allows us to avoid feelings we definitely don't want. And explain using the great example of Colin O'Brady, how indecision kills our progress and can drain our mental and emotional energy when all that needs to be asked is: what do I want?

Ever seen a movie where the protagonist is told something bad will happen and so they do everything in their power to stop it, only to end up causing the bad thing they were desperately avoiding? Have you ever seen that in your own life? Whether you realize it or not, we all self fulfill our own prophecies all the time where we are the least aware, inside our brain. Today I talk about how the thought "I don't want" is a common brain trap that in fact will exactly create in our lives the very things we don't want.

An urge can be defined as a strong desire or impulse. They're a big part of the human experience, yet we don't even pause to think about them and the effect they have on our life. Today we discuss what they are and how if we want to change our desires about something in our life, it begins with allowing the urges to just exist and be there as uncomfortable as they are without resisting their inevitable and essential place in our lives.

Have you ever made a decision and then wondered if it was the right one? How do you know it is the right one? Today on the podcast, we talk about the concept of sign seeking, where we look for affirmations that we made the right choice based on how we feel about it afterward. Yet our feelings fluctuate, especially when we aren't aware that we create them. Truly, we get this concept backward, that it is in fact our belief that will affirm that we made the choice, simply by believing we made the right choice, rather than relying on evidence outside of us that is always subject to change.

Here's an interesting question: have you ever wondered how much of you is actually influence by the society you were born into? Today we dive into the idea of who you are as a person and how we all have acquired thoughts about ourselves and the world from society, society's stickers if you will. But what stickers are actually serving you? And do you realize that you get a choice in the matter of how you define yourself in the world you live in? If you want to redefine the world you live in, it begins with redefining how you see yourself.

We all have had what we call, "an inappropriate thought". Whether you consider that to be when you think something racist, sexual, dark, crazy, they all stem from the idea that these are thoughts we aren't supposed to have. But is that true? Where did this idea come from? Join me today as I discuss how we should accept all our thoughts, that there can't be anything inappropriate for the situation, but it is in fact exactly appropriate for how we grow and learn here on Earth. And that rejecting and beating ourselves over these things that enter our mind will only deepen the problem, while love is the ultimate answer to loving "the enemy" we consider inside us.

Coaching with a life coach AND especially self-coaching can bring about the small shifts that turn darkness into light, pain into relief, nervousness to excitement, and my very own vacation from sucks to great.

When was the last time you thought, "I should be..." or "I shouldn't do..."? Last week, today, an hour ago? Well, that's because you're human! Today we dive into these thoughts and how we judge ourselves constantly in the hope that it'll help us change, when in fact it's Muffinhead's way of running the show. The secret to true change is to embrace our human-ness, to offer self-love, rather than self-judgment, and to understand that there is no should or shouldn't, we are always supposed to do what we do. Because we are human! With a human brain! And that's just the best news ever!

Do you feel too busy to get anything you want done? Or too worried to take any of the action necessary to getting the life you want? Well, I figured this would be as good as time as any to talk about how to accomplish something despite the worry and overwhelm, how to feel these emotions, and overcome these obstacles in achieving our goals. While I talk largely in the context of finals week, we all have a "finals" week of our own sometimes where we need as much help and motivation as we can get to overcome something daunting with confidence, rather than fear, and accept ourselves, despite that outcome that we typically might consider as "failure".

Have you ever wondered why we feel bad in this life, especially when we're pursuing our dreams? Or have you ever wondered why reaching your goals is SO HARD? Well, Muffinhead (our brain) tries to keep us safe in its default setting, therefore, it doesn't want us to chase our dreams. This is what we call resistance and it's in fact the very thing that allows us to grow. And the best news is that we always get to choose how we think, feel, and act towards resistance. It's always our choice!

Yet the toddler doesn’t need to be in the driver seat of our life, we get to choose how we acknowledge and love this part of ourselves, and still say “Thanks Muffinhead, but I’m in charge”.

You might not believe me. But your thoughts are driving your life whether you know it or not. So let's take our brain off autopilot and practice awareness of what's actually going on in our heads. The power of awareness is to begin knowing that every thought you have leads to the feelings and results you get in your life. Your thoughts are waiting to be heard and the key is to start with awareness.
