In this episode, I talk with Mari Reisberg, LPC, therapist, performer, creativity coach and host of the Sustaining Creativity Podcast. She holds a BFA in Acting from the Hartt School and an MA in Somatic Counseling Psychology, Dance/Movement Therapy, from Naropa University. She currently splits time between the traditional 9-5 world as the director of utilization review and internship programming for a substance abuse treatment center, and her own Sustaining Creativity business where she works with performers and non-performers to spark, grow, sustain, share and transform creativity in their lives. Simple acts of kindness and recognition can make the difference in someones life, just like planting a tiny seed. You never know what an amazing and beautiful flower that little seed will grow into.

Bjorn is a successful business owner and artist. He immigrated from Germany in 1998 with a masters degree in economics and traded his career in Marketing with pursuing his love for portraits. He rose to become a successful and award-winning wedding photographer first and is now well recognized for his fine art wall portraits with clients throughout the Midwest. Being a life-long learner, Bjorn ferociously reads business and self-improvement books, is educated through the Tony Robbins organization, John Maxwell Team. His main purpose is to create loving, joyful moments through his camera work, his speaking engagements and in real life with his 9-year old son. Sher Van Cleve has always moved through her life’s dance to a tune playing in her head for her personal dream. Raised by parents that instilled in her you can do and be anything you want to, encouraging her to take that risk and run with it. Throughout her life, she chose to live life large and not hold back. Natalie Bachiri is an American who has lived in Luxembourg for more than six years. She is an independent entrepreneur in many areas. She is an EFT therapist working to make people happier as well as a Handywoman, a freelance writer and does lots of volunteer work. She has been working with the Luxembourg Peace Prize for more than four years and has many contacts with peacemakers around the world. Host, Lisa Kindle talks with Global Art Café founding member, Val Coopet about Art and Life following her recent milestone birthday. We celebrated in her garden last Friday for "Art in the Garden." Today, we talk about who the influential people in her life were when it came to art and life. She reminisces about her father learning art in World War 2, taking art classes in Japan and how her grandmother inspired her to be a life-long learner. She passes on both of these loves to her grands by teaching them to create with watercolor, paint fairy gardens and encourage them and others to enjoy learning and trying new things, sharing her favorite mantra, "I can do hard things" and living it out, trying things that push her a little out of her comfort zone whenever she can. Val has a lot of spunk and that's what I love about her. She is willing to play with great imagination, laughs often, shares with an open heart, approaching life with great energy, curiosity and an open mind. Remember, "Life is a participatory sport!" Jump in and live it to the fullest. Grab a paint brush and play with color. Buy an inflatable kayak, Val did!

In this episode we talk about the purpose of the Global Art Café. I made the announcement that I will be removing the fee-based membership to the Café moving forward and start to offer the VIP experience in a different way in the future. The Global Art Café programs are free and open to the public. Donations are always welcome to support the work that I am doing!
We also discussed that today the Maple Grove Art Center in Maple Grove, MN officially opened for the first time since the lock down began and discussed the upcoming events including an Advocate show happening in June. Now is the time to get signed up as an advocate and submit your art for that first show! There are many opportunities to participate as an artist, whether it's as a volunteer or paid. Deadline to enter the advocates show is June 1. Please visit their website to download your application!

We talked about where you can find Sybil's paintings around town. The Global Art Café started in March of 2020 and by the end of the year grew from a handful of members to nearly 200 members on our private Facebook Group. We now have a PUBLIC Facebook group for you and a VIP Membership with special programs once a month for those members. All events are open to the public. We ask that you become a VIP member when you begin to attend on a regular basis or would simply like to support the work that is being done. The aim is to bring art and life together whether you own a business, you are an artist or simply enjoy art and creativity. Mark has worked and studied the transformational power of colour for more than 30 years. He is founder of Colour for Life, and the creator of Colour PsychoDynamics, both integrating the power of colour with the archetypal and visionary worlds of Carl Jung. For Mark, colour is a sign language of the Soul. He believes, if we take time to notice and learn its language, simple and profound change can take place. Every colour tells a story, any shade or tone can move us through time to past memory, evoke a certain smell, or even add sound and music, all at the speed of light.
Colour PsychoDynamics is a methodology Wentworth have developed over the past 20 years, is a process and a journey of self-exploration with colour as the guide. This can simply be finding the right colours for your home, the most advantageous colours for your logo and business, or diving deeper to explore your core essence.
Mark lives in the UK as well as working internationally in Europe, Middle East, Far East, and North and South America.
In 1998 Mark wrote his first book "Add a Little Colour to Your Life", over time it has been translated into French, Greek, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish, and soon to be published in German and Romanian too. Whilst only 60 pages it has been described as "a little book that goes a long way" A new book is under way...
