Thanks to Brandon with Fleet by SSC for the recommendation for todays episode, Cars on Album Covers!! It's not often that I get to mix two of my passions, cars and album covers, so this was a dream come true!! I instantly knew of one album cover I had to talk about, but there are a few more that we discuss that I either found along the way, or have too big of a story not to talk about. Also we get a special edition of Near Miss where we discuss some album covers that feature cars that met an unfortunate end. If you are a car lover, album cover fan, or just love hanging out with me...take a few minutes to check out some Cars on Covers!

Phil Hyland, singer songwriter and a great friend of mine, comes on the Judged by the Cover podcast to talk about his career in the entertainment industry, his band Girlfriend, and his new release Too Good. Hear a snippet of the song, and get some behind the scene info on the song itself.

It wouldn't be the Judged by the Cover podcast if we didn't talk album covers, and album cover design. We talk some of Phil's favorite album covers, and he gives us some advice on the importance of hiring the right people, and taking your visual branding elements seriously.

You don't want to miss this one. From behind the scenes of Baha Mens "Who let the dogs out" photo shoot, to stories about playing some of the coolest venues in late 80's-early 90's New York. This is a must listen!!

One of the my favorite, most formative albums, Meteora turned 20 this year!!! I never knew what made this album cover so special, but now I know the secret, and you need to check it out! Also it wouldn't be the Judged by the Cover podcast if we didn't talk about a Near Miss album cover, and this episodes victim is Aerosmith.

The band Chicago is credited with putting band logos on the map, and between them and their designers, found cleaver ways to work this one logo into almost all of their album covers. We will look at 3 different covers today, and will also be continuing the Near Miss segment, where I get to talk about an unfortunate cover design. I almost feel bad because its for a friends project.....and I actually enjoy the project....but it needs to be addressed haha.

As promised the link to the digital content will be here.

Join me as we look at the album cover for the debut, self titled album Boston. This album has a crazy story behind how it came to be, and the cover has a really cool element that I never noticed until this year...and the album came out in 1976!!! Also stay tuned to the end of the podcast for the new segment, Near Miss.
