By applying deep learning and computer vision methods, we can estimate traffic safety indicators in interactions of autonomous vehicles with different classes of road users. We’ll be presenting the methodology developed to analyze traffic safety metrics from data collected by a drone (overhead video) of real traffic use cases. Aligning machine learning and video analytics to infer traffic safety can help make our roads safer in the future.
