Here’s an epically long interview with Leigh. Leigh is a mega bowie fan, though I am pleased to report I had some gems to share about the great man Leigh didn’t know about. Namely, Bowie’s time as a mime artist, his movie acting credentials, and Ken Scoot – who produced all Bowie’s best LPs, IMNSHO (in my not so humble opinion).
Our taping coincides with the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust – which is nice.
As ever, Leigh and I had a far ranging chat about all sorts of stuff behind Bowie – Australian pop and rock, the Beatles, and sumo wrestling in 1990.
Of course, we had a natter about my next single – Shadow of the Mountain – and this episode premiere’s it. The single drops Tuesday September 13th!
Leigh was also interested in how I wrote songs for Intimate Letters, and I was more than happy to spill my secret beans! 😀

Living eight-to-a-two-bedroom house in a scuzzy part of Liverpool is as unglamorous as the 70s could get. But aside from watching Mr Chips and old Westerns with my nan on a black and white telly, there was a stack of vinyl on top of the Dansette record player that opened my tiny illiterate ghost haunted mind to a world of colour, glitz, and twisted science fiction glamour.
Two of the records atop the Dansette were Bowie ones. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars – to give it its true name – and Aladdin Sane.
