FROM HER WEBSITE:

"Dr. Matusiak had a vision. Even back in her undergraduate college days, she knew how critically important and connected the mind and the physical body were. So, she graduated from Cornell College with a BA degree in Biology and Psychology. It was shortly after graduating that she began working at Abbott Laboratories. This did NOT fulfill her passion of working with people and having a direct impact and influence on their health. It was then that she discovered the field of Chiropractic Medicine and Applied Kinesiology … and as she was beginning to make a choice on the next steps…Abbott had a huge lay-off and sealed her fate! Dr. Matusiak was in love and had found her true calling and passion in holistic medicine!

Providing my patients and their families the highest quality chiropractic/holistic care and empowering the community with the knowledge and support needed to live a naturally healthy life.

Serving humanity by physically, nutritionally, spiritually, and emotionally supporting the journey of healing from within.

Dr. Matusiak has been married to her husband Jason for 15 years, and they have 3 beautiful (and a bit crazy!) boys together: Evan (10), Noah (7), and Payton (4). She practices what she preaches in her own life and life with her family. Fitness, health, joy, peace and love are what drives her. Dr. Matusiak truly enjoys exercise and physical fitness, and has completed the Chicago Marathon in 2009, as well as the Naperville Sprint Triathlon in 2019.

MARIE MOSLEY

MARIE MOSLEY, a domestic abuse survivor and author from New York, will join us to discuss all that she has gone through in life - including giving birth to a child at age 14; being a victim of domestic violence, drugs, alcohol, infidelity, and more - and how she has come out on the other side happier and healthier than ever, and how she is helping women escape similar situations. She is also the author of the book, "The Pretty Divorce".

FROM HER BIO and WEBSITE:

"I was a mom at fourteen years old and stayed in a very toxic relationship for twenty-five years, and had three more children. This relationship consisted of domestic violence, drugs, alcohol, infidelity on both parts, and so much more. As much as people believe side relationships are bad, and I will say I have to agree, for the most part, however, I must admit my side relationship saved my life. I was able to come out of the relationship, with a master's degree and become a school counselor. I was also able to love again and allow someone to truly love me. My book depicts my story from the beginning. How I grew up without my father after he dies, my mom left with six children, the tragic death of my sister and niece, being a teenage mom, and the side relationship that saved me from suicide. But the main premise is about divorce from all toxic relationships and other toxic situations that deserve a divorce. I believe all women have the ability to come out of toxic relationships, create brighter futures for themselves, and have healthy relationships with men that truly love them if they so choose to do so. And now I'm on a mission to show them how."

Marieis an inspiring author, speaker, and coach. She spent twenty plus years as an educator, inspiring and motivating, not only the children, she serviced, but colleagues, friends, and others, to live their best lives. She is a former Guidance counselor with a strong mental health background. Her purpose in life now, is to see women heal and recover from relationship issues that cause trauma. She loves to see women rebuild their lives and manifest their dreams. Especially those who have gone through a messy divorce or other nasty breakup.

Marie is known for persevering through some of the toughest issues women face. Marie deems herself a Rose that grew from concrete. Because with the help of God whom she loves and adores, she consistently breaks through whatever hard situations life may bring."

On today's segment, we will play the interview with SHANNON ADDISON.

SHANNON ADDISON, the developer of "Breadcrumbz" is all about anti-bullying, with a focus on girls. Her books and characters are created to assist girls and their parents to recognize what is going on; developing a strategy; and then implementing that strategy to achieve success and care for all.

FROM HER WEBSITE:

"Shannon Addison is a “work-at-home” mom, military spouse, and mother of two amazing girls. Her mother (who was a teacher for 25 years) inspired her to create a product line that would positively impact the lives of children.

Her mom believed that everyone is given a voice to use for whatever purpose each person intends to pursue. The challenge, she said, was finding a way to use your voice for good. For Shannon, this is her voice.

Raising girls has provided a lot of insight about what lessons are important during the most critical growth years. Today there are a lot of products on the market that promote self-esteem, but not many that really target self-acceptance.

Throughout this journey with each of the Breadcrumbz, girls are not only shown how to acknowledge who they are with their own shortcomings or flaws, but are guided through a process that suggests how to embrace them and to celebrate the difference they make in their lives."

NEW SHOWS ARE DROPPED EACH MONDAY AT 10:00 AM ET.

On today's segment, we will talk to DAVID STANFIELD.

DAVID STANFIELD, a new Christian author from Texas, will join us to discuss his faith in Jesus, and how the Lord led him to write a Christian book, even though he had never written a book - nor had hardly even read one! - in his life. His book, entitled, "Hellven" is available now.

FROM HIS BIO:

"Hello. I am an author and my new book, "Hellven: The Struggles of Being a Worldly Christian" was recently released by Trilogy Publishing, which is TBN's publishing company. I use this "Hellven" concept to help explain the state of Christianity in today's world as most of us so called Christians have conformed to the world and become hypocritical. We know how we are supposed to live, what is right, and what is wrong, yet we choose to believe that we can do what we want instead and just ask forgiveness later. "Hellven" is described as having the horns and the halo, or having our cake and eating it too so to speak, but we all know that is not the case. We know that is not the way God intends us to live. However, when we choose to get off the right path, we begin to face more and more life struggles, which are even harder to deal with when we are not living for Christ, but of this world.

After explaining the "Hellven" concept, the book then goes into some of the many struggles we face on a daily basis. There is a chapter for each of the struggles discussed and I give statistics, real life experiences and stories of things I have personally faced (including the loss of my son to suicide), and advice for dealing with these struggles. Some of the struggles/topics in the book are questioning faith, anger, profanity, worry, relationships, forgiveness, finances, life balance, stress, depression, grief, addiction, honesty & integrity, witnessing, obedience, and more. At the end of each chapter/struggle, I give 10 scriptures to help and encourage the reader to overcome that struggle when faced with it.

My goal is to get the message God gave me to share with the book out to as many people as I can, and get it outside of my family/friend circle. It is a very real and very relevant message for the current state of this world."

JAY MILLS, a former long time college football coach, including 13 years as the head coach at Charleston Southern University, and now an ordained pastor at Pleasant Valley Community Church, will join us to discuss his career; his beliefs; his website, newsletter, and videos; and his latest release, "Game On! - A Coach's Game Plan for Discipleship".

FROM HIS WEBSITE:

During his collegiate coaching career, Mills was recognized as an innovator, motivator, and team builder, helping both individuals and programs alike to reach their full potential. It was during the decade he served as the Head Football Coach at one faith-based institution that he first fully integrated biblical principles to create a whole person development model. This unique leadership strategy promoted the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional development in those he led. As Mills would state, “Success in the core components of a person’s life transfers into success, not just on the playing field, but personally and professionally as well. If the process is right, the results will take care of themselves.”

His hypothesis would be correct. As a Head Football Coach, Mills led Charleston Southern University to its first ever winning season, conference championship, national ranking, and the second-longest winning streak in the nation. Before retiring in 2013, Mills would receive coach-of-the-year accolades and, for his accomplishments on and off the field, he was presented the prestigious Mike Campbell Lifetime Achievement Award.

To Mills, it was not about simply developing young men, but training aspiring coaches as well. It was his desire that they all might use their platforms to advance the kingdom by using their influence to multiply disciples. His former student athletes and assistant coaches now serve in every strata in the coaching profession (including the NFL). They are also leaders in other professions, and pillars in their families, communities, and churches.

Following a successful 30-year-career coaching college football, which included coaching one Heisman Trophy winner and stints at such well-known institutions as the University of Notre Dame and Harvard University, Mills embraced a calling to full-time ministry. Now as an ordained pastor at Pleasant Valley Community Church, he continues to employ the same coaching principles in this new venue. And he assists others in doing the same. In his writing and through his speaking engagements, Mills shares a skill set that will transfer into practical application for his audience’s personal development and professional growth.

FROM HIS WEBSITE:

"The man they called Barabbas has come a long way from the wretched prisoner released by Pontius Pilate in lieu of Jesus of Nazareth. He and his wife Chanah are growing in regard among the leadership of Christ’s fledgling church, which is expanding and thriving.

But increasing Christian influence breeds jealousy among several Roman governors and senators. How will Emperor Nero react? Can the apostle Paul soothe the moody young ruler and help the valiant Roman saints continue to spread the Word?"

On today's segment, we will talk to Amy Nordhues and Willie Drye.

AMY NORDHUES, an author and sexual abuse survivor from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, joined us to discuss her story, including her latest release, "Prayed Upon: Breaking Free From Therapist Abuse".

FROM HER WEBSITE:

"Amy Nordhues is a survivor of both childhood sexual abuse and sexual abuse as an adult at the hands of a mental health professional. She is a passionate Christ-follower and expert on the healing God provides. She has a BA in psychology with minors in sociology and criminology. Her devotions have been published in The Secret Place (Judson Press) and include: A Big Softy, Winter 2018, Fixer Upper, Summer 2019, No, Thank You, Summer 2021 and Unveiled, Fall 2021. Her essay, Give Me a Sign, won 2nd place at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference Foundation Awards. She blogs at www.amynordhues.com. A married mother of three, she enjoys spending time with family, writing, reading, photography, and all things comedy.

She hopes that through her ministry, she can shed a light on the very under-reported issue of therapist/clergy abuse both to offer support to the victim and to aide loved ones so they can better assist the victim with the very arduous process of healing. She also hopes to work towards improving the laws in her state which currently has no legislation regarding therapist abuse. In over half of the states in our country, it is illegal for a therapist to engage in sex with a client. The power differential that exists in any therapeutic relationship makes it impossible for a client to give consent. For this reason, the patient entering therapy must be protected."

WILLIE DRYE, an author from North Carolina, joined us to discuss his release, "For Sale —American Paradise: How Our Nation Was Sold an Impossible Dream in Florida".

From his Amazon Page:

"A tale of a colorful and tragicomic era during which the allure and illusion of the American Dream was on full display—a Jazz Age period when Americans started chasing what F. Scott Fitzgerald called “the orgiastic future”—the book reveals how the recent economic collapse in Florida is eerily similar to events that happened there between 1925 and 1928.

What sets the mid-1920s’ Florida land boom apart from more recent booms-and-busts, however, is that this was the first modern boom, the first time that emerging new technologies, mass communications and modern advertising techniques were used to sell the nation on the notion that prosperity and happiness are simply there for the taking."

God’s amazing grace has brought me to the other side of many difficulties like co-dependency, addiction, anxiety, anger, low-self-esteem and more. I’d love to share some of those tools with you, or I can create a specialized message for your event.

I have always loved music! Yes, I’m one of those people with a song for everything. My radio career started 28 years ago in Fairbanks, Alaska spinning seventies records (they had records back then) on the ‘overnight show’ where the temperature sometimes dipped to -55. I have hosted radio shows in Alaska, Oregon and California. I was with Salem Media Group in Sacramento for 17 years where I hosted morning drive on 103.9 the Fish and worked as the Commercial Production Director for the cluster.

I currently reside in Reno, Nevada where I ‘create cool stuff’ from my home studio; things like voice-over, production, video, show creation, on-line courses and more."

On today's segment, we will talk to Avigail Gimpel:

AVIGAIL GIMPEL, currently living in Israel, and the author of "HyperHealing", will join us to discuss her results from over twenty-five years of research, development, and application of cutting-edge intervention programs for her clients, children, and hundreds of students, with regard to ADHD. She will be presenting hands-on skills and information that we have never heard before!

FROM HER WEBSITE:

"I am a College lecturer, practitioner in private practice, parent educator, and author of HyperHealing. Married for 20 happy glorious years, and a mother of six beautiful children, (ages 7-19).

I began my career as a special education teacher in an inclusion classroom, with children of all ability levels, unique gifts and challenges. I loved all my students, but the most intriguing were the students with “special energy”, the ones who were trying to drink from a waterfall instead of a glass. The ones who dreamed all day, but then said something that no one else thought of. The ones whose engines ran on instant gratification, and had not developed habits and routines to focus their explosive energy. They were creative, funny, out of the box and… struggling. They had trouble with follow-through, organization, social skills, routine and emotional regulation. It was time to fill their tool kit with strong skills and habits. I developed an intervention program full of novelty, discovery, structure, responsibility, routine, and faith in each child’s ability. My special energy kids began to flourish.

The second wave of my career launched when my children were receiving ADHD diagnosis one after the next. While neurologists insisted that my children had a chronic brain disorder which could be “cured” or managed through the use of stimulant medication, it did not seem that my children’s struggles were due to a Ritalin deficiency. Now that my own children were being affected by ADHD, I left no stone unturned in my quest for deeper understanding and solutions."

I've spent many years in public service from being a volunteer firefighter to the pulpit. Due to a back injury, I am disabled and figured I can use my podcast, The Truth Must Be Told to get information out there. I'm new to the podcast game but I have always liked broadcasting. My podcast is to expose the truth, no matter how painful it may be to people. The main stream media is not telling the truth and the truth, wisdom and moral integrity is what is needed in todays world. I have always been a bit iconoclastic and I want to say that I am not PERFECT. I'm a sinner saved by God's grace but I would like to speak His truth to as many people as I can."

From that point forward a creative spark lit inside me that I really wouldn't get in touch with until college when my friend convinced me at the last second to change my major over to film. After that I stuck with film and video sometimes to a stubborn extent in my career. I started my own business at age 19 and I've been at it ever since.

My writing side never truly went away and was reignited after many years of battling depression especially in the tedium of wedding videography. To start off 2021 I collected 5 years worth of poetry in a collection which I just self published mid-January."

It’s for the woman who feels unseen, unsure, overwhelmed, and alone in the desert and desperate for a way back to the Jordan River… so you can feel freedom, can be rinsed clean and can be full of hope".

FROM HER BIO:

"I started hearing “WRITE” as I began to work through difficult seasons in my life.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005 and a Masters in the Arts of Teaching in 2011 both from McNeese State University.

After my sister-in-law passed away in 2013 and after God help me overcome doubt in 2014, I began to write more and listen to God’s direction and calling.

I wrote my family story of restoration and redemption and two Bible studies by the time I attended She Speaks Writer Conference in the summer of 2019.

I realized then that God had called me into the ministry and I had a passion to help others study God’s Word, process their pain, and discover their purpose."

JENNIFER McGILL

JENNIFER McGILL, a Disney child star, motivational speaker, recording artist, songwriter, worship leader, writer, vocal producer and performance coach from Nashville, Tennessee, will join us to discuss her career and future plans, including her new business venture with her husband, "Milestone Melodies".

From Her BIO:

"With over 30 years of showbiz under her belt, she now tells the stories of her rollercoaster ups and downs like never before, as a Speaker, Worship Leader, Songwriter, Coach, and Inspirational Pop Recording Artist.

What started as almost a clean sweep of nearly 50 pageant victories from age seven in a small Texas town quickly evolved into seven seasons in Orlando on the Disney Channel’s wildly popular The All-New Mickey Mouse Club in the late ‘80s well into the ‘90s, which Jennifer describes as a sort of “‘Saturday Night Live’ for kids” featuring interviews, skits, variety show-styled razzle dazzle, and of course, loads of singing. A quick internet search shows her performing alongside a slew of internationally renowned stars, and throughout a real time conversation, she just as casually mentions how Michael Jackson used to visit the set as a major fan of their show or the time when Celine Dion helped calm her nerves prior to an inauguration performance for President Bill Clinton at the Kennedy Center."

NEW SEGMENTS ARE DROPPED EVERY MONDAY MORNING AT 10:00 AM

On today's segment, we will talk to Keith Senzer and Janet Howle:

KEITH SENZER

Keith Senzer struggled with low self-esteem, bullying from others, and undiagnosed ADHD as a youth, and now, as a Life Coach, he is helping young people and their parents over come the same obstacles that he overcame through his own efforts.

As Keith stated, "I truly believe my purpose and calling is effecting change in our teens so that they may grow up to be powerful, responsible and influential adults who want to make the world a better place.

I wish that Life Coaching was something that was accessible when I was growing up. I was bullied as a teen and to this day believe that I had ADHD which went undiagnosed. This had a tremendous impact on my academic success and in turn my self-confidence.

I struggled to make new friends and was viewed as a snob because I was so shy. My insecurities kept me from connecting with people and recognizing social cues that I should have responded to appropriately.

Since 2014 I have dedicated my life to helping teens become the best version of themselves and teaching them to be our future leaders with a goal to heal our world."

JANET HOWLE

Janet Howle has accomplished much in her life, including working as a physical therapist, maintaining a university position, operating her own business with her husband, traveling the world, and now .... an author!

As Janet Howle wrote, "I wrote my first piece of fiction the summer I was ten- or there about. It was a story about a young, bored girl who, despite an otherwise happy childhood, runs away to join a circus. It wasn’t a very long story since I couldn’t decide if my heroine was going to be a bareback rider or aerialist, but I did know she would wear one of those sparkly, sequined leotards and tights-pink, or maybe purple. I also had no idea how to develop a plot or describe characters.

My teen years weren’t particularly remarkable. I wasn’t rebellious, well, maybe a little. Fast forward to adulthood. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in physical therapy and I immediately specialized in pediatrics. A few years (and a marriage) later, I left Michigan for graduate school at the University of North Carolina and on completion, joined the faculty there. During these years, both as a clinician and an assistant professor, I wrote a lot of nonfiction, you know, case reports and academic writing, that sort of thing. Okay, maybe academic writing does require a bit of fiction.

Now to Uncharted. The setting, characters, and plot draw on my many years sailing the Bahamas mixed in with a shady period in the history of these islands. That more or less brings you up-to-date. I am working on a sequel to Uncharted. It will be a while until it is even a completed manuscript, but it will draw on the period in which the Duke of Windsor ruled the Bahamas. Our next rally will be Cuba if this Covid virus ever goes away."
