Also at the end of each show is Kuru Recommends as Andrew picks out some best anime and manga to for people to watch and read.
On the first episode of the new year the Big Fat Geek Week Andrew, Stephen, Daniel and Amy look ahead to all the incredible Movies, TV Shows, Video Games and Anime coming our way in 2021 as they discuss what they are most excited for.
There is a whole host of geeks for this weeks special bumper episode of the Big Fat Geek Week, as Danny Graham, Del Owusu and Amy Allen join the regular team of Andrew, Stephen and Daniel as they present the first ever Big Fat Geek Awards. However before the guys can get to the awards they first break down all the news that came out of the Disney investor meeting.
On this week's episode the geeky gang, Andrew, Stephen, Daniel and returning Amy Allen, talk Games, Films and TV shows. In preparation of the upcoming Big Fat Geek Week - Big Fat Geek Awards, the team look at ahead to the Game Awards 2020 on the 10th of December, they also look at the recent Joy Stick Awards and PlayStation Partnership awards in Japan and Asia, giving their thoughts on some of the award winning games. The team also discussed the latest geeky Film and TV show news from the HBO Max Release Schedule, first reviews on Wonder Woman, the Plastic Man movie being a female led movie to the upcoming Marvel Investor's day and the possible new show announcements for Marvel and Lucas films, the latest news on the Mandalorian spin offs and so much more.
The Geeky Gang, Andrew, Stephen and Daniel are back once again, the team follow up on the 80's quiz provided by Daniel from last week by sticking with the 80's films as they discuss forgotten gems of 80's as well as 80's films that aged badly whilst discussing the up coming Gremlins 3 movie. The team also discuss all types of other geeky news from the previous week including; Disney/Marvels news on the Deadpool 3 movie as well as the upcoming Nick Fury TV Show, Disney/Star Wars news including the unfortunate the passing of David Prowse plus their up coming Obi Wan and Boba Fet TV Series and finally some Anime news such as the upcoming release of Attack on Titan's final season as well as news of a 3rd My Hero Academia Movie. The Geeky gang are back once again Daniel, Stephen and Andrew are joined by Big Fat Geek Life Member Daniel Graham as they discuss all the latest geeky news from the past week including the release date of Coming to America 2, WWE's New Day being added to Gears 5 and an update regarding Netflix's live action adaption of Cowboy Bebop. Andrew, Stephen, Daniel and Amy celebrate the released of Sony's PlayStation 5 Console digging deep into those childhood memories as they discuss PlayStation through the years. The geeks discuss the launch titles for each console, along the way discussing their favorite games and franchises, discussing the difference between modern gaming and gaming back in the day, complaining about what they hate about modern gaming (Well Mainly Andrew). The team also discuss the latest geek news including the latest update about the new Rick and Morty seasons, as well as the release of Big Mouth as they compare adult cartoons. The Geeky Gang also have a host more recommendations and so much more.
This Week the Big Fat Geek Gang, Andrew, Stephen, Len (Not Alan), Daniel and Amy are joined by the Big Fat Geek Life resident Star Wars Expert Del Owusu as the team talk about the Mandalorian season 2 release with a deep dive into Star Wars history, lore, cannon and non cannon. The Team also discuss other geeky news, including the weird story that a former WWE will star in the Power Ranger inspired, Legend of the White Dragon. Also the news that Hasbro are acquiring Death Row Records. On More serious note the team also discuss the creator of Attack On Titan being honored with a statue in his home town, rumors regarding season 3 of the boys and Johnny Deep stepping away from J.K Rowlings Fantastic Beasts franchise.
On the latest episode of The Big Fat Geek Week, the geeky gang pay their respects to the late great Sean Connery, as we discuss his amazing career his ups and his downs, from James Bond to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Also on this episode we talk all the latest geeky news, including the 90's X-Men cartoon voice cast reuniting to honor Norm Spencer, the Nicholas Cage film Willy's Wonderland, Netflix Anime deal's and new shows, Sony buying Crunchyroll's Anime Streaming Service. We also the discuss the news that Netflix are creating an Assassin Creed TV Series as we dive into the Assassin Creed game franchise discussing our favorites games of series, how we feel the story should be adapted before we discuss the good and the bad of Computer Game franchises that have had TV shows.
On this Halloween special edition of The Big Fat Week the ghoulish gang hold a tournament for ultimate Big Fat Halloween King as they pick 32 of most well known Horror Villains to face off against each other. Horror villains such as Jason, Dracula, Candy Man, Leather Face, Jigsaw, Slender Man, the Critters and many more winding down one by one till we have our Big Fat Halloween King.
This week episode is first of out Spooky editions as we lead into Halloween, The Demon Lord of My big Fat Geek Life, Stephen Sowden is joined by Count Otakula Andrew More and everyone's favorite Slashing Stalker the Legend Len talk all things Geeky and Spooky, The main bulk of the episode is made up of the News that Stephen King's The Stand is getting a new TV series as we talk about the original series from 1990. We then discuss all of the many works by Stephen King that have either had an episode on a horror show or a full TV Series and all the movies. as the spooky gang discuss their favorites. Following on from this, having established Stephen King is the King of Horror books, we then discuss who is the king of Horror films, Wes Craven, George Romero or Alfred Hitchcock. The episode is then rounded out by a spooktacular edition of Kuru recommendations as the team offer some more Geeky recommendations to check out.
In this weeks episode the geeky guys discuss the release of the Invincible Trailer for the upcoming series on Amazon Prime, we talk about the creator of Invincible, Robert Kirkman, discussing his works including Walking Dead and Outcast. As Invincible was Published by Image comics the geeky gang take a dive into Image Comics looking at their other works, including Savage Dragon, Kick Ass and Spawn, picking up on the fact that both Spawn and Savage Dragon had a cartoon series. So the team start talk about other obscure Super Hero Cartoons from The Maxx, Toxic Crusaders, Ultraforce, The Tick, Freak-a-zoid and The Mask. We reminisce on these childhood cartoons comparing them to their actual comic origins, we can't help but feel nostalgic as we talk about the X men, Spider-man and Batman cartoons from the nineties. At the end of the episode the team provide some awesome Kuru Recommendations for listeners to check out.
I this weeks episode of the Big Fat Geek Week, Andy, Len, Daniel and making her first appearance Amy Allen, discuss the big the news story of Netflix announcing Conan the Barbarian TV series, leading into a discussion of their favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. The guy's and girl then go on to discuss the 80s action movie genre as they talk about their favorite movies and actors, leading into brief chat about movies that have become TV series and vice versa. Finally at the end of the episode Andrew recommends some great anime to check out as part of Kuru Recommends and Amy Allen also recommends a South Korean Zombie movie available on Netflix.
On this weeks episode the 4 old men, Stephen Sowden, Andrew More, Daniel Allen and the man, the myth, the legend simply known as LEN, talk about the release of the Marvel Disney series WandaVision. Whilst discussing the release of the trailer the boys also discuss their favorite Marvel series, Marvel Netflix Series, their favorite Marvel Comic characters and series as well as whole host of other Marvel related topics including the possible live action Nick Fury series and Failure of the New Mutants.
