My Grandfather died recently. May 25, 2053. While going through his stuff, I found a box of old tapes marked “Dear Julie”. I don’t know who Julie is. I wonder if it’s the same Julie he talks about in his autobiography? I’m really curious about what he recorded! I was lucky enough to find an old tape player at a yard sale so I can listen to the tapes. I’m excited! I miss him so much already. I love you, Grandpa.
We get a little history from Grandpa’s autobiography. This is part 1 of his story about his relationship with Julie.
In this recording, Grandpa tries to get Julie caught up with what he’s been doing the last 30 years.
Grandpa sounds somewhat melancholy and reflective on this entry. But now I know who Julie is... or at least who she is to Grandpa.
