Ryan & Dave are two former classmates who decided to do a podcast together. They discuss and write sketch comedy every week and share it for listeners. They laugh, they love, and they cry together! Even if you're not laughing, they are.
Alexa Zamora joins us this week on R&D to discuss an old sketch they made with Ryan that was filmed. Dave feels jealously in his heart as the two recount their glory days, but he overcomes it. They also discuss two existing sketches in what is their biggest episode yet!

Ryan & Dave return to discuss two sketches Dave has pitched and is working on. Johnson & Johnson (Not The Vaccine), and Date Night. Date Night is the product of a challenge Ryan and Dave set for each other one night, where they were too write a sketch in 15min, and then pitch it to the other. Dave's Sketch, Date Night, is workshopped here, and we discuss ways Dave can improve and add more to the writing to heighten the comedy.

Dave and Ryan discuss two sketches they have been working on. "The Xbox Avenger" and "Johnson & Johnson" As famous comedians, they breakdown their ideas and workshop them together. Ryan thought it would be a good idea to just bs for almost an hour and tell stories and talk, a shake up from their previous format of writing sketches. Truthfully, it's up to you to decide if you like it or not. We literally just talk about nothing for about an hour or so, so enjoy I guess.
Going off the last episode, Ryan shares some critical feedback he got on the sketch they wrote. It throws Dave into turmoil, as he struggles to understand comedy. Ryan explains it to him, and thus creates a paradox, making Ryan the best comedian of all time.
Ryan and Dave write a sketch that seemingly makes no sense but it's funny to them. They then discuss a scenario in which Ryan would record a podcast in which the other person doesn't record on their end, making Ryan sound like an insane person.
Ryan and Dave decide to take it easy today in what started as a sleepy brain storming session, but instead it turned into more of a full episode with some sketch writing. Thanks for listening if you are. If you're not, that's pretty cool too.
Dave and Ryan discuss an inspirational quote that really changed Ryan's perspective on comedy. Ryan blows a hole right through Dave's sketch and ends up killing him. Ryan finds the perfect ending and caps off his very meta sketch.
Dave and Ryan discuss sketch writing, and their favorite SNL sketches. They even take a break to watch one of Ryan's favorites. Dave gives his new idea for a sketch and they keep working on the META sketch.
