Hiii everyone~~
Here’s my drawing of my favorite actress Shin Min-a. It’s one of my fav works because of how I managed to draw the hair strands and their shadow on the forehead.
It was important how thick or thin each strand was so I had to spend a lot of time on it to make it mo re realistic. All those hours paid off ^^
For these realistic works I had to keep my pencil sharp in the whole process especially for those thin strands.
The dress had lots of details so I just skipped that part and focused on her face, hair and hands.
I also shared the video of how I drew the details of her hair using a paper cutter.

Just a random pic of my desk I liked to share 😄

Materials
Prismacolor and Faber-Castell colored pencils on Steinbach paper
white pen and paper cutter

Hiii guys~
I’ve drawn this drawing of Leonardo DiCaprio months ago but decided not to share it since I didn’t have enough progress photos but now I was looking through my works and I thought I have something to share with you.
When I look at each of my works I see all the frustrations I experienced to get it finished. I have wanted to let it go or break it multiple times cause the skin color didn’t turn out as I wanted. You know, when working on the skin you should be so patient and take time to create each layer and blend them to have the right tone. So at first it might freak you out that it’s not going well but it’s just the beginning.

Made the eyebrows’ strands with cutter paper.

I share its pic here along with the white gelly pen used to create the highlights in the eyes.

Used masking tape around the drawing so I wouldn’t color out of the border mistakenly.
One thing you should be careful about is that the masking tape might injure your paper when you're peeling it off.
And another thing is that depending on its brand the paper might be a little sticky after peeling it off, so be wary of that too.
I tried to erase some line on this spot with a black eraser and it left a little dark. If you had to use it, don’t repeat my mistake and make sure to use a white eraser.

Progress Original Pic And in the end, same drawing with different lightings. I took the latter photo to say lightning is super super important when photographing your works. Try to do it indoors and outdoors and see the difference yourself. Camera can’t really capture what we see with our own eyes and change the colors drastically. It makes the drawing look bluish or yellowish.

Hiiii ^^

Here’s my entry for the Splinterlands Art Contest. This time I drew “Epona”, a beautiful blonde girl. This time week’s entry is much more different from the last ones as I added more details and it has more human features. The last ones were more unrealistic.

This character reminded me of Princess Fiona in Shrek. It was because of the dress I guess 😄 I Hope you like it ^^

If you have any questions feel free to ask me ^^

Hiiii ^^

Here’s my new drawing ^^

I colored the very first layers with Faber-Castell and then colored the rest mostly with Prismacolor. The reason I’m saying this is because the steps matters sometimes (not always) and makes the result a little different. Faber-Castell is oil-based and I like to use it on the first layers. But Prismacolor is wax-based, it has more pigments so I use it on top. I have done this the other way around, but it left little marks on the paper (not a big deal). It’s just based on my experience, some may find it better to use the steps in another order as I myself do, depending on what I’m drawing, clothes, skin, etc. For example, in the case of drawing hair, I use another technique which I will explain later in another post(will record the hair part as well). You know, there’s no rules. While drawing, every little thing matters, pencils (which brand they're from, how sharp they are, the way we hold them), papers, etc. But above all, skill is what we need the most, if so, we can draw the best drawings with just an ordinary pencil. Every time we draw we learn more and in this post I just shared the way I’m comfortable with ^^

Here’s my drawing of a flower. A few days ago when was walking outside I saw this flower and took a photo of it.

I’m interested in photography, but it’s actually the first time that I used my own photo as reference. I don’t usually record my drawings but this time I decided to do so, I hope you like it ^^

And if you have any questions feel free to ask me ^^
