It's been a bit since our last upload, mainly because we've been working on gathering materials for our coming build. This is a process that takes time and has many tricky moments when working with old fashioned tools. We haven't explained much why we prefer these tools but a quick resume would be:

• No need to be constantly wasting on fuel (we might come to use power tools if we ever have enough offgrid energy)
• Smaller ecological impact
• Good excercise
• Slower progress allows us to observe the Nature around us a lot more and allow it to regenerate while we work.
• Less noise for the birds and other animals that coexist with us.
• Cheaper mantainance.

Despite the process being slow, it's a very enjoyable work surrounded by a beautiful scenery. We wanted to share with you what a normal work day looks for us while gathering as much material as we can before we begin building our cob house.

These days the weather has been very windy and rainy so it's been a bit harder to work outdoors. We've been trying to make some progress but mostly just sitting out the storm inside. Despite the weather conditions, we still enjoyed going out to observe the plants and walk around the forest. We made a video to share with you how even when things look grim, beauty and peace can be found. We hope you enjoy these images and music, and may it bring peace to your day.

Those who've been following our building progress might wonder what we're doing and we've got lots of material to upload regarding that but we haven't organized it yet and it just keeps adding up. We hope to be able to put it out, though at the same time we've been busy on other side projects that require a lot of time and energy.

Hola mundo de Hive, quisimos mostrarles en este breve video como estamos lavando nuestra ropa, ya que aunque no tengamos tecnología moderna de limpieza, necesitamos estar limpios 😅

Tenemos la intención de hace una lavadora con una bicicleta para hacerla girar pedaleando y ya hemos reunido la mayor parte de los materiales, así que una vez est estemos listos con los demás proyectos pondremos manos a la obra.

Ocupamos fermentado de citricos cuando está muy sucia la ropa, así no hay problema en devolver el agua sucia al arroyo.

Pronto enseñaremos nuestra lavadora, o al menos la idea principal jeje.

ENG Hi there world of Hive, we wanted to share with you how we are washing our clothes, because though we don't have modern cleaning tech, we need to stay clean 😅

We have the intention of building a washer with a bycicle to spin it while a person pedals. Excercising while eco-washing doesn't seem like a bad deal, does it? We've already gathered most materials so we'll do it as son as possible.

We used a citric fruit fermentation to wash the dirtier pieces, that way the water can safely go back to the stream.

We'll soon show the new washer or at least the main idea hehe.
