In this weeks episode, I talk to about getting our hopes up again. The month of May is just around the corner, and I believe it will bring us grace upon grace. It will be the month of things being sealed together. Have you ever realized you’ve been the person keeping you stuck? I reflect on my growth, as well as what I need to propel myself into my next era. I take a honest look at the reason I’ve been scared in hopes that you find your tools to breakthrough the ceilings holding you back. What served you in one season won’t be the same thing that serves you in the next season. Listen now and share this podcast with a friend. Connect on Instagram @_newwinepodcast

Feeling overwhelmed? Feel as if you can’t balance everything on your plate and still be kind to everyone? Too much to do and too little hours in the day? Or maybe you know what you should do but are unsure if you have the strength to get there…this episode is for you! I flashback to 2017 where I was 24 years old and freshly moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee. I realized then and even more now how God wants me to give him everything I have so He can carry me. I realized how His strength is made perfect in my weakness. I may have a little country and fast paced twang in my voice, but this episode will encourage you to invite God into the places where you don’t feel strong enough. The time has come…I am OFFICIALLY 30 years old and entering into a new decade has never felt better. On this week’s episode, I look back to share thirty things I’ve learned over the past 30 years. From experiencing rejection at the top of my 20s to feeling like I’m living out a version of my dream life as I welcome in my 30s, I realize how special the journey of life truly is. I didn’t know what was ahead but GOD DID! Thank you for sharing in this special episode with me. I would love to hear your thoughts so feel free to share them on Instagram @_newwinepodcast.

In Episode 5, I talk about how we can remember the posture of God when we're tempted to get ahead of Him and take things into our own hands. God is not just good because of all the characteristics making him worthy of being called "good". He truly is GOOD in the sense of, he's not worried. He's not trying to make things happen before it's time to make them happen. He's content with the season over our lives even if we aren't. He knows the end from the beginning and the call of trusting his timing will call you to remember God being good in every moment. I also talk about some "blinders" that can limit the way we see our lives in the "You've Been Corked" portion of the podcast. Be sure to SUBSCRIBE and share this episode with a friend! You won't always be able to choose YOU...but don't turn me off because I am starting a conversation about self care AND sacrifice. In this life, you will learn to find the little moments that allow you to choose you. You will also find the little moments that call you to choose others before yourself. You can't do everything but you can do the things God has called you to do-and one of those things is to show up for the people God has in your life. You can set boundaries and not let those same boundaries keep you hidden from the world. Self care teaches us how to pour into ourselves and sacrifice teaches us how to pour into ourselves so that we can give out to those who need us. They have to work together and we're talking about it this week!Find us on Instagram @_newwinepodcast and connect with Alex!

This week, we're talking Generational Healing! It was the second most voted for topic when I did a poll at the end of Season 1 so I am happy to start this conversation today. Accepting the grace, love and forgiveness in your family can be a hard pill to swallow when you're trying to do it, in your own strength. But, I have good news! God never expected you to carry the heavy burdens of generational hurt, trauma, disappointment or forgiveness on your own. You can choose today to lay your hurt at the feet of Jesus and TRUST Him to carry it and see that you are vindicated for what you endured. You can ask for help to forgive AND accept the grace over your family today. If you enjoy this video, please consider sharing it with a friend or subscribing to my channel. This week, I want to talk about IDENTITY. Who are you? What do you believe about yourself? What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you know what God says about you? I’m tag teaming with KeKe Palmer this week to ask us all a question…what if we had to bottle up how we feel about ourselves and sell it? Would your confidence on the inside match the confidence you portray on the outside? Would you think that your bottle would be worth a high price? It’s time to get your confidence back and really get to love the person you see in the mirror.

We are back for SEASON 2 of the New Wine Podcast and this week, I am kicking off a conversation about the environment of our mind, thoughts and what we allow to come out of our mouth. Sometimes, it can seem easier to pick up the negative thoughts about ourselves rather than pick up the truth of what God speaks over us and words of positivity. Take your weekly moment to “pour it up” and let me know what you think about this episode. Thanks for listening and be sure to connect with me on Instagram @_newwinepodcast

Well, well, well...we knew this conversation was bound to happen! In the last episode of the season, Alex shares a toast to all the single women out there. She shares how she is navigating single life and how she once lost her will to hope for a partner in life. Now, God is bringing her back to not just believing for the right person to come but He's also growing her into a woman she loves and wants to be with. The love we crave starts within and if the love Alex shares for herself is any indication of the love she will one day receive from someone else...she's on the right track. 2023 is right around the corner and in this episode, Alex continues the conversation from last week. As you welcome in a new year, stop to ask yourself "How do I want to feel this next year?" instead of "What do I want to do this next year?". We are shedding off the weight of 2022 and opening up our hearts for 2023 and some of that shedding comes with some hard truths. Are you self sabotaging your happiness or are you able to recognize the joy even in the moments of growth? 2023 is right around the corner and in this episode, Alex reflects on how she learned to embrace the quiet and restful moments before going into a new season. Sometimes, we can wonder when the newness that we've been praying for will come into our lives. Sometimes, we also get caught in the quiet of the in-between which can discourage us from believing that newness will even show up. This week, we start the conversation of releasing what's in our hands for the surprises that God has waiting for us. We are shedding off the weight of 2022 and opening up our hearts for 2023. In this episode, Alex talks about how we can experience rest no matter our what our body orientation is. Rest is a gift from God and the more that we look at rest as his sign of love towards us, the more fuller our lives will become. The more "wealthier" our lives will feel. Also, this episode marks the first official #WineorDine segment and you'll definitely want to hear whether Alex chooses to take a sip of wine or answer the question about what love means to her. This episode is a breath of fresh air for us all.

In this episode, Alex opens up about her healing journey from church hurt and the practical things she did to open her heart and life back up again. I know this topic is sensitive to many people I love and I don't speak from a place of full knowledge of everyone's journey. This is a piece of mine and I pray it helps you or anyone you know learning to move forward and heal from the wounds of the church. It was a place that was supposed to protect and lead you closer to Jesus and somehow that wasn't how your story ended. What I have come to learn is that if we keep moving forward, we will see how God uses everything for our good. We will see how God turns our grief to glory. There is more to come.

In this episode, Alex shares how we can learn to enjoy the journey and not rush our process. Whoever said that overnight success was a real thing must have been sleep for a long time. God is a God of the process and I think if we understood more about how he intends for us to experience different seasons, we could all be a little more joyful about the journey.

In this episode, Alex shares that when we experience “middle” seasons, they are often longer than we want them to be. What we do in the middle matters and this episode will plant hope and hopefully help you feel less alone. We often get hyper focused on the future when there is so much to learn and appreciate in the “right now”. When we find ourselves in the space of what was and what will be…the middle, this episode challenges us to stay in faith despite the fear of the unknown. Alex shares how the story of the resurrection is a story about the middle. She also shares how one of Jesus’ disciples, Thomas, didn’t always have the name “doubting Thomas”. Thomas, like many of us, found himself in a middle moment. Yes, his faith was tested. Yes, he withdrew himself. Yes, he did have doubt but it wasn’t always that way.
