"In life, it's during the storms and challenging seasons that we often struggle to see the lessons or recognize their significance. It's easy to feel overwhelmed, under attack, or even victimized by our circumstances.
In this season of trials, particularly within my marriage, I've come to realize the true strength of our relationship. When things are smooth sailing, it's simple to claim that our marriage is robust, but it's during the rough patches that we truly put it to the test.
As many of you know, my wife lost her job last December. We've been weathering the storm with the grace of God and our love for each other. However, it hasn't been without its challenges. We've had heated discussions about finances, the need for space, and much more. This season has given me the opportunity to express my frustrations and resentments openly, which has been both difficult and cathartic.
Finances and resentment were significant issues we had to confront, along with the unrealistic expectations we placed on ourselves and our marriage. Through sometimes uncomfortable conversations, we've been able to communicate effectively and strengthen our bond.
I challenge you to reflect on the strength of your relationships. If you've never weathered a storm together, have you truly grown? It's not about having disrespectful arguments, but rather engaging in open dialogue about the uncomfortable topics we often avoid.
Let's make these uncomfortable conversations the new norm, as they are essential for growth and resilience in any relationship."

In my life, I have been told to never question God because he knows all. However, without questions you will not receive answers. There are moments when the only answer is to not understand. While on my journey of finding my purpose and realigning my life with God, I have found myself questioning all sorts of things in my life. Most recently I saw a disabled child and couldn't help but ask why? Why was this child or any child born disabled and with little to no function...What I have come to realize is...it is okay to question God but we have to be ok with not understanding. This is when our trust and faith will continue to be tested.
As I become vulnerable on this platform I realize how my situation or circumstances do not defy me. In the midst of the chaos I for once in my life silenced my mind and truthfully gave my issues to God. Knowing that if there was a way, he would make it! In the moments when your faith is being tested where do you stand? If you've fallen short this video is for you. I have fallen short many times and the one time I released my trust and faith into the lord reminded me that he will always be there I just have to trust him.
When things get overwhelming communication can be a hard task to achieve. In marriage or in relationships in general we forget that we have to meet our loved ones where they are in a moment of chaos. Tune in to this week's episode where we discuss navigating miscommunication and having those uncomfortable conversations.
What is your perception of life? Do you have a positive outlook or are you mostly negative? When was the last time you decided to avoid a conflict because you chose to give the other party grace? In this week's episode, we go a bit deeper into how you can be more intentional about perceiving things in a positive light and giving those around you grace.
As we enter a new chapter of the Let's Talk About It Podcast. I want to say thank you to those who have listened and supported the podcast. Keep streaming and keep tuning in every other week!
Proverbs 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.Everyone we cross paths with in life does not deserve the title of being a “friend”. Some people are only meant to be in your life for a season don’t be afraid to walk away from someone who doesn’t compliment you and your journey to finding your purpose.
We live in a time where keeping up with everyone and what they have is what it seems to be an essential characteristic of this generation. By doing so we forget the blessings God has given us…the simple things like waking up each day, financial stability, or the sense of urgency to keep going and to never give up. On this day I say to you remember the things you prayed to God for…remember a time when it didn’t matter what everyone else had but what you deeply desired to find happiness and peace. Look at your life and see how fruitful it has been against all the odds God always provides. Cherish where you are now because God has something even bigger for you later
Marriage changes like the seasons! Are you fighting with your partner or for your partner?
Every day I fight to overcome the inner thoughts that tell me to stop, give up, or be too tired to put the effort in. The first step is admitting to myself that I lack discipline in my own life. How do you overcome such a crippling feeling or lack of action? Be honest with the person in the mirror and continue to fight the inner you that won’t let you be the best version of yourself. NEVER GIVE UP
Mother’s Day is a special day for all moms but the work we put in and the love we have for our children never stops. So I celebrate Mother’s Day for all the moms out there striving to be the best version of themselves for themselves as well as for their children. Don’t forget to take care of yourself in the process
In honor of mental health awareness month let’s talk Mental Health. Do you struggle with anxiety or depression? Know that you are not alone! In a world full of chaos find your peace and let’s talk about it
When the love of God never fails, don't be resistant to who he puts in and takes out of your life.
Childhood trauma and life traumas will have you holding yourself back from your full potential. Let's Talk About how to let go and let God. Forgive our inner child and those who caused us so much pain in the past. Most of all remember who you once were is not who you are now. Give yourself grace through this transition in life.
We sometimes assume that our timing for things is the right timing and because of this, we lack patience. Take a moment to reflect on yourself and your decision and ask God is this my season for Yes! But the question is will you be willing to accept Gods NO
When did it become our duty to judge others? Are you willing to embrace those different from you? Help those who don't see things or live life the way you do? In this week's episode, we are discussing embracing those who don't fit society's blueprint.
We were created to be more than what we’ve become, more than what we expect. We were created with God-given gifts that we should not dismiss. I asked myself how many gifts are too many gifts when I should ask God what gift should I use this season.
Some days are better than others and some days we just struggle in the worse way. Join me on today's episode where I challenge myself to overcome those struggles.
On this journey of finding our purpose we will hit many bumps in the road. Where I fell short is not being obedient to God. By not being obedient I was not accessing his blessings or his guidance in the right way. Join me on this weeks episode where I get transparent about rebuilding my relationship with God
Letting go of once was to become a better version of yourself is imperative. We all battle with ourselves wondering if we can bring along our past selves, relationships, friendships, and characteristics on the journey to find our higher selves. Tune in to this week's episode to find out why letting the old you die is required to reach your full potential.
This week we are taking a look at our life choices and decisions. The question at hand is “What did God say” are we making decisions based on our own wants and desires or are we truly including God and asking for guidance along the way? As I took a break to reevaluate my plate and the things I have chosen to jump into, I realized that this is where I fell short in my journey to finding my purposes. Take a seat and take a moment to decide does God have his hands on this or did it just look good at the moment.
This week we are discussing tackling intentions and preparing for our future goals. Let’s be kind to ourselves and others knowing that every day we can start over to becoming a better version of ourselves.
Kicking off our first podcast with a small introduction. Setting the stage and allowing you to get to know your Host and why I have decided to create this safe place to finding my purpose and yours. Come with me on this journey where we can talk about it all.
